My April Playlist!

Hey everybody!  April is over which means I get to share my favorite songs with you.  It also means only a week left until summer break!  I'm really excited for this months playlist.  In case you missed my March playlist click here.  If you have any songs I should check out then let me know!  Also what songs are you loving right now?

1. Heartache On The Big Screen by 5SOS
I mentioned last month that their EP was coming out this month.  It is SO good!  It only has 4 songs but I literally had it on repeat everyday.  This is my favorite besides the one on my last playlist.  I love how they have evolved into pop rock.  It takes me back to my punk rock phase in high school.  Favorite lyric: The clock is ticking, and I'm out of time The camera's rolling, and I forgot my lines My script is ripped and now I see This is heartache on the big screen

2. Party Girl by Dan + Shy
You guys this is my current obsession!  Somehow I discovered Dan + Shy and I'm hooked.  I'm not a huge country fan but trust me they are AMAZING!  Their entire album is perfection so it was hard to pick just one song.  This was the one I had stuck in my head most.  Go check out the album on iTunes, you won't regret it!  Favorite lyric: I don't need all them humming, buzzing neon signs Long as you got that come and get me look in your eyes Yeah I'ma stay right here so we can disappear We can do it up right

3. Sing by Ed Sheeran
Who is excited for the new Ed Sheeran album?  I definitely can't wait!  This his first single and if it is a hint at what the rest of the album will be then I'm pumped.  I just love everything he does.  I really wish his tour was coming here!  If you have a chance to see him live do it.  It's a magical experience.  This song just gets me excited for summer.  Sadly we have to wait until June for the rest of the album.  Favorite lyric: Let it go until our roads'll change Singing we found love in a local rave No, I don’t really know what I’m supposed to say But I can just figure it out and hope and pray

4. Me And My Broken Heart by Rixton
I usually am awake until about 3 or 4 AM because I'm a night owl.  I was watching MTV and they played this video.  I was instantly hooked!  If you haven't noticed I have a very addictive personality.  It's just a really fun and catchy song.  Who knew that having a broken heart could be so upbeat?  He is still pretty new here in America.  I haven't any other songs by him but so far I'm feeling it.  Favorite lyric:  I need a little loving tonight Hold me so I'm not falling apart A little but I'm hoping it might kick start Me and my broken heart

5. John Doe by BoB ft. Priscilla
This song has an awesome message.  I like songs that actually mean something.  It really showcases what money and fame can do to a person.  We all dream of being famous but we never think of all the consequences.  We all think we wouldn't fall into the trap but peer pressure can change that.  I wasn't going to include this song but it's a message that should be shared.  Favorite lyric: Seems like the bus moves slower Just cause you got somewhere to go So you take a few pills in Beverly Hills But if anyone asks you've got a prescription You got an addiction Who do you think that you're fooling

6. Classic by MKTO
This song is my obsession!  I play it every single day on repeat.  Plus it is always playing in my head.  It's SUPER catchy!  I also just think it is a cute song.  I like the older eras so I like how they are bringing classy back even though it's still modern.  It makes me happy when I hear it.  Favorite lyric: It's love on rewind Everything is so throwback-ish (I kinda like it, like it) Out of my league Old school chic Like a movie star From the silver screen You're one of a kind living in a world gone plastic Baby you’re so classic

7. Replay by Zendaya
I've actually loved this song for awhile but I forgot all about.  While I write papers I just put my iPod on shuffle and this song popped up.  I love the beat!  It's very catchy and kind of reminds me of the 90's.  I'm not really sure why.  I don't really like her other songs though.  This is a good song to play in the morning to get ready for the day.  Favorite lyric: I wanna put you on repeat, play you everywhere I go, e-e-everywhere I go, play you everywhere I go

8. All Of Me by John Legend
I usually hate slow songs no matter who sings them.  I'm also not a huge John Legend fan.  I REALLY love this song though!  It is so simple and beautiful.  I love that he wrote it for his wife.  Plus the lyrics are so meaningful.  I love everything about it!  Favorite lyric: How many times do I have to tell you Even when you're crying you're beautiful too The world is beating you down, I'm around through every mood You're my downfall, you're my muse My worst distraction, my rhythm and blues I can't stop singing, it's ringing, in my head for you

9. You & I by One Direction
I know what you are probably thing right now.  Another One Direction song made the list?  I can't help it I just love them so much!  I'm SO upset I'm missing their tour this summer!  I've seen clips and it looks amazing!  Also for some reason I'm kinda obsessed with Harry Styles.  I'd love to him someday or meet them all!  I did a whole review of the video here.  Favorite lyric: I know how it goes I know how it goes from wrong and right Silence and sound Did they ever hold each other tight like us? Did they ever fight like us?

10. Pumpin' Blood NONONO
I have a story for this song.  About 2 months I randomly heard this song on the radio and instantly loved it.  I never heard it again and had no clue what the name of it was.  I forgot all about it until I was watching Glee and they covered it.  I'm SO glad I found it because it makes me feel happy.  You just wanna dance when it comes on.  Favorite lyric: It's the best and worst feeling like nothing can go wrong You're the decider of the world that you will get to know

Please tell me I'm not the only one who is glad Devious Maids is finally back!  If you haven't watched yet then you are really missing out.  I was so sad when the first season ended because I wasn't sure it would be back on.  So far season 2 is only two episodes in and I'm hooked.  It's even better than last season!  It's full of drama and secrets of all kinds.  You'll need to watch season 1 first in order to understand everything though.  Basically it's about maids in Beverly Hills who know many secrets about the families they work for.  Actually they know pretty much everything!  It's hard to describe but trust me it is my current favorite show right now!  If you watch, tell me your thoughts so far!  Also which maid do you like best?  Mine is Rosie.

DWTS Season 18: It's Latin Night!

Welcome to week 7!  It's Latin night which means each couple will be doing a Latin style dance.  The guest judge tonight is Ricky Martin.  I'm a big fan but can he really be a good judge?  I'm not loving having a new judge each week because they are so random.  They just choose whoever they want.  This week is the first week the celebrities will dance two dances because team dances are back!  It's Team Loca vs. Team Vida.  I always love the group numbers.  Tonight one celebrity will be eliminated.  The show started with a group dance and performance by Ricky Martin.  It was actually really good!

AMY PURDY AND DEREK HOUGH:
She struggled with her dance and her actual relationship.  This week she danced the Rumba.  I loved it!  It had great chemistry and passion.  It was sexy but still classy.  She is a true competitor.  She can do anything no matter what the challenge is.  Her score was 36 of 40.

JAMES MASLOW AND PETA MURGATROYD:
He may or may not be dating his partner.  This week he danced the Samba.  This dance was SUPER sexy!  He is by far my favorite guy on the show.  He just gets better and better.  They were just amazing together.  Plus he got shirtless so I'm not complaining.  His score was 35 of 40.

DANICA MCKELLAR AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
She broke her rib in rehearsals but is fighting through.  This week she danced the Salsa.  Honestly it wasn't her best due to her injury.  You could tell she was in pain.  They do have great chemistry though.  I'm glad she just didn't quit.  Her score was 33 of 40.

NENE LEAKES AND TONY DOVOLANI:
She feels honored to have made it this far in the show.  This week she danced the Argentine Tango.  It was not good.  This is one of my favorite styles so I judged harder.  The footwork needed a lot of work.  It just wasn't sharp.  At least she stayed in character.  Her score was 31 of 40.

CHARLIE WHITE AND SHARNA BURGESS:
He wants to get better scores and stand out.  This week he danced Paso Doble.  He did an awesome job.  It had TONS of intensity.  It wasn't perfect though.  It needed to be a lot sharper.  I think he just tried too hard.  His score was 36 of 40.

CANDACE CAMERON BURE AND MARK BALLAS:
She is working on not being nervous during the live shows.  This week she danced the Argentine Tango.  I LOVED it!  She just let go of her nervous but her confidence was much better.  I really liked the passion.  Her legs were so perfect.  I loved it all.  Her score was 35 of 40.

MERYL DAVIS AND MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY:
She struggled with being sexy.  This week she danced the Salsa.  It was amazing!  It was just a lot of fun.  I couldn't tell she had never done salsa.  She looked totally in her element.  She really kept up with the pros.  Her score was 39 of 40.

TEAM VIDA:
The team captain is Charlie.  His team consists of NeNe and James.  The style is freestyle.  It was kinda a mess but also fun.  There was just a lot to take in.  They were pretty much synchronized except for some parts.  The score from this dance will be added to each persons score from tonight. Their score was 35 of 40.

TEAM LOCA:
The team captain is Meryl.  Her team consists of Amy, Danica, and Candace.  The style is freestyle.  Earlier tonight Amy injured her back and is unable to perform.  Instead the team will be judged off of their dress rehearsal.  I loved it!  It was SO much better than the other.  It was tight and clean.  It was fantastic!  Their score was 39 of 40.

Results:
Meryl, Amy, Candace, Danica, and Charlie are all safe.  NeNe and James are in danger.  NeNe is eliminated.  I'm not surprised but I still will miss her craziness.

Motivational Monday: Being Positive

I'm back!  Sorry there was no post last week.  Easter took all of my energy.  I'm really excited about today's post though.  We live in a world that is constantly full of negative energy.  If you are surrounded by that all the time, then eventually you'll become a negative person.  Now I'm not an expert at all, I've just learned from experience.  A few weeks ago my mom told me one of best qualities was that I see the positive in every situation.  That is very true.  Who am I to judge any situation if I don't fully know every piece of information?  I'm always pretty positive in my own life.  I'm not perfect by any means.  I do have bad days but only you change your mood.  There are many things I could dwell on to make me hate life.  What's the point of that though?  We can choose our destiny and how we live our life.  You may be wondering how to become more positive.  Over the weekend I watched a movie called The Secret.  It was life changing.  If you have Netflix I highly suggest you watch it.  It is also a book which I plan on reading after finals.  It will really change your outlook on life.  If you've seen or read it tell me your thoughts.

♥Weekly Obsession♥

Happy Wednesday!  I can't wait for classes to be over!  It is very stressful with all the studying and homework that is due.  Let's not focus on all that though, it's time for this weeks obsession.  It is Adam Levine.  I've loved him for awhile honestly.  He is just SUPER sexy!  He can do pretty much everything.  I recently found out he had a women's clothing line at Kmart and I got very excited.  It looks AMAZING!  I must resist buying it all.  Also if you've been watching The Voice, his team is by far the best.  I just can't get enough of him!  Who is your celebrity crush?

My Spring Essentials!

I am SO happy that Spring is finally here!  I'm so over dull and cold winter days.  I thought I would share some of my essentials with all of you.  If you guys want more posts like this let me know.  I really hope you like it!  Tell me what your essentials are!

Curled Hair:
In the winter I normally just throw my hair up in a bun or ponytail because it's too cold to dress up.  The minute it turns warm I want to look cute again.  My hair NEVER stays curled so I invested in an amazing wand.  It is the Titan 3 Curling Wand from NuMe.  It is the best hair product you'll ever own!  I have a deal for all my readers!  Click here and use "NUMESPRING50" at the checkout for 50% off plus Free Shipping on Styling Tools, Hair Care Products, and Accessories.  If you prefer straight hair you can click here and use "MEGASPRING" at the checkout to the MegaStar flat iron for just $79.  If you guys want me to do any looks let me know.

Body Spray:
I prefer body sprays over perfume during spring and summer.  They just feel more refreshing and light.  I have always loved the Pure Seduction scent from Victoria Secret.  So when I heard they came out with a limited edition Pure Seduction Bloom scent I knew I must buy it.  It is AMAZING!  It has a more floral fruity scent.  Check it out if you love the original!

Flower Crowns:
I can't go anywhere without buying a flower crown.  I saw Taylor Swift wearing one and now I can't get enough.  I just love the boho chic look.  I've always been a hippie at heart so it suits me well.  I actually did a DIY post awhile back on how to make your own.  If you wanna try it click here.  Tweet me a pic if you make one @jerica_89.

Bright Nail Polish:
Whenever spring happens I must paint my nails a bright color.  It just makes me feel super happy.  For some reason I've been obsessed with yellow polish.  Currently I'm wearing Sun Kissed from China Glaze.  It is a bright neon yellow.  It dried super fast but you need at least 3-4 coats.  I love it though.  A tip I learned after I painted them is if you paint your nails with one coat of white first then you'll need less coats of your actual color.

Cardigan/Denim Jacket:
Just because it's spring doesn't always mean it is warm.  I've been switching between a cardigan and a denim jacket.  I highly recommend keeping one of these with you at all times.  It really depends on what the weather is like where you live.  Here it could be 80 and sunny one minute and then the next pouring rain.

Junk Food!:
I have been trying to eat more healthy lately but spring means finals.  When I get too stressed I must have junk food of any kind.  It is mostly chocolate though.  It's my biggest weakness.  I'm ready to just be done with school for summer.  I'm over the work!

DWTS Season 18: It's Party Time!

Welcome to week 6!  Tonight is party anthem week.  Each couple will dance to our favorite party songs.  The guest judge this week is Redfoo from LMFAO.  I'm not sure he is a good judge of ballroom dancing but we'll see what happens.  Another celebrity will be eliminated tonight.  The show started off with an awesome group dance that was like a giant carnival.  I loved it!  Tonight the Macy's Stars of Dance is back and choreographed by Derek Hough.  It was AMAZING!  I'm very glad they are bringing this series back.

NENE LEAKES AND TONY DOVOLANI:
This week she is focusing on being a better partner.  Her party anthem song was Hot In Herre by Nelly.  This week she danced the Salsa.  I did enjoy it but I feel like she is too over the top sometimes.  It was a lot of fun but her footwork isn't the best.  Her personality was really there.  Now she just needs to work on technique.  Her score was 33 of 40.

CANDACE CAMERON BURE AND MARK BALLAS:
She needs to work on just relaxing and have fun.  Her party anthem song was I Love It by Icona Pop.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  I thought she improved A LOT.  It was just so much fun.  I could tell she really worked hard.  She still gets in her head but not as often.  Her score was 32 of 40.

JAMES MASLOW AND PETA MURGATROYD:
He got the first perfect score of the season last week so he is living up to that standard.  His party anthem song is You're The One That I Want from Grease.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  It was SO amazing!  I really love him.  This is my favorite musical so I'm glad they incorporated some of the actual moves from the movie.  He is probably my current favorite.  His score was 35 of 40.

DANICA MCKELLAR AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
She is actually believing she is a contender.  Her party anthem song was I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  I didn't love it.  I wanted more energy and fun.  I felt like it didn't have enough Cha Cha moves.  The judges loved it though.  Her score was 36 of 40.

MERYL DAVIS AND MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY:
She was disappointed by the scores last week.  Her party anthem song was Feel So Close by Calvin Harris.  This week she danced the Tango.  I actually really liked it.  I loved the tension and chemistry they had.  The choreography was incredible.  It was just magic.  Her score was 40 of 40.

DREW CAREY AND CHERYL BURKE:
He feels like he will be eliminated this week.  His party anthem song was Super Freak by Rick James.  This week he danced the Tango.  I didn't like it sadly.  He seemed way too focused.  I like when he just has fun.  He messed up a couple times also.  At least he is committed.  His score was 32 of 40.

CHARLIE WHITE AND SHARNA BURGESS:
He has a very busy week with his job.  His party anthem song was Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) by C+C Music Factory.  This week he danced the Cha Cha.  This was pretty much AMAZING.  It was totally 90's which I'm obsessed with.  It was a total party.  I wish it never ended.  His score was 36 of 40.

AMY PURDY AND DEREK HOUGH:
She ready to step up and becoming a serious competitor.  Her party anthem song was Shout by The Isley Brothers.  This week she danced the Jive.  I'm OBSESSED with her!  I can't believe she has fake legs because honestly you can never tell.  Plus I love this dance style.  Her kicks were flawless.  Her score was 38 of 40.

Elimination:
Amy, Charlie, Meryl, NeNe, James, and Danica are safe.  Drew and Candace are in danger.  Drew is eliminated.  I'm kinda sad because he is so much fun.

One Direction New Music Video!

You guys this an exciting day!  A new One Direction video has FINALLY come out!  I feel like it has been awhile.  When I heard You and I was going to be the next single I was surprised.  It it a slower song so I thought they would choose a more up tempo song.  Now that I've seen the video it all makes sense.  I'm OBSESSED with the video.  I've already watched it at least 10 times in an hour.  It's totally different from anything they have ever done.  The effects are so CRAZY!  They all morph into each other.  What more could you want?  This is in my top 5 favorite videos from them.  What do you think?  Let me know.

♥Weekly Obsession♥

Hey guys!  I have a confession to make.  I've become an official binge watcher.  This is not good you guys!  I have a TON of homework due now that school is almost over.  My obsession is Parenthood.  I know what you are all thinking.  You aren't a parent so why are you watching?  I started watching a few episodes last summer.  It is actually so much more than that.  It is all about family.  I cry EVERY single episode.  It honestly makes me feel bad for all we put her through growing up.  It is an awesome show that probably you all skip over.  I can't stop watching!  I must stop myself and focus on all my school work.  I highly recommend you guys watch!  What shows do you binge watch?

DWTS Season 18: It's Disney Night!

Can you believe it is already week 5?  It seems like it is flying by this season.  Tonight is Disney Night!  This means every couple will be a character from a Disney movie.  I'm very excited!  The guest judge this week is Donny Osmond.  He won way back in season 9.  I'm not a fan of him.  Tonight somebody will be eliminated.  The show started with a big group number with a bunch of Disney songs.  It was AMAZING!

DREW CAREY AND CHERYL BURKE:
His Disney movie is Aladdin.  His song was Friend Like Me.  This week he danced Quickstep.  I thought this was great.  The song really fits him.  He portrayed the character and excitement really well.  It wasn't perfect but I just enjoy him a lot.  His score was 28 of 40.

CHARLIE WHITE AND SHARNA BURGESS:
His Disney movie is Mary Poppins.  His song was Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.  This week he danced Jazz.  I could never dance to that song because it is SO fast.  Plus he used props too!  It was awesome!  It was almost perfect but he dropped the prop but I don't even care.  I wanna watch again!  His score was 37 of 40.

DANICA MCKELLAR AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
Her Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast.  Her song was Be Our Guest.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  I loved it!  She honestly looked exactly like Belle.  She has improved SO much.  There was barely any mistakes.  She is really becoming a threat to everybody.  Her score was 39 of 40.

AMY PURDY AND DEREK HOUGH:
Her Disney movie is Cinderella.  Her song was So This Is Love.  This week she danced the Waltz.  Again I totally cried.  It was so magical and beautiful.  She was a perfect princess.  I love her SO much and she just inspires me.  Derek did awesome with the choreography.  Her score was 37 of 40.

CODY SIMPSON AND WITNEY CARSON:
His Disney movie is The Lion King.  His song was I Just Can't Wait To Be King.  This week he danced the Samba.  I loved it!  He did an amazing job.  He really stepped up and focused.  It had his own flair plus actual basics.  He is one of my favorites.  His score was 34 of 40.

NENE LEAKES AND TONY DOVOLANI:
Her Disney movie was 101 Dalmatians.  Her song was Cruella de Vil.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  It wasn't her best.  I feel like it didn't really show her personality.  I wanted it a bit more classic moves.  The judges loved her though.  Personally I wanted more.  Her score was 36 of 40.

JAMES MASLOW AND PETA MURGATROYD:
His Disney movie is Frozen.  His song was Let It Go.  This week he danced Contemporary.  This was AMAZING!  I am totally obsessed with Frozen and now him!  It was just totally emotional and I'm pretty much speechless.  All I can say is perfection!  His score was 40 of 40.

MERYL DAVIS AND MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY:
Her Disney movie is The Jungle Book.  Her song was I Wanna Be Like You.  This week she danced the Samba.  You guys know I feel about her.  I thought the dance was of course great.  I wish she had got a different Disney film so the focus was more on her.  Her score was 36 of 40.

CANDACE CAMERON BURE AND MARK BALLAS:
Her Disney movie is The Little Mermaid.  Her song was Under The Sea.  This week she danced the Samba.  This was her best yet!  She really just let go and had fun.  I really loved it.  I think she needs to stop thinking and have fun.  Her score was 35 of 40.

Results:
James, Meryl, Drew, Danica, Amy, Nene, and Charlie are safe.  Cody and Candace are in danger.  Cody is eliminated!  I am totally shocked.  I voted every week but somebody had to go.

Motivational Monday: To Diet Or Not?

Happy Monday!  Today's post came from a conversation my friends had all weekend.  We all know that spring is here which means everybody worries about their weight.  My friends were talking about this crazy 3 day diet.  Is this an expectation of women now?  It doesn't seem healthy at all.  I'm all for being healthy but there needs to be a point where enough is enough.  When I was younger I suffered from anorexia.  You never actually get over that thought process.  I constantly worry about my weight and how I look.  I now have just accepted myself for me.  I feel confident no matter what I wear or eat.  I just hate how body image is reflected in America.  Just be comfortable being you.  If people judge you because you aren't "perfect" then they aren't worth being in your life.  Nobody deserves to be mistreated for who they are.  My advice to girls of all ages is to just be you.  I let girls call me fat and starved myself for almost 2 years.  It's not worth it!  Love yourself!  If any of you need to talk you can email me at jerica.berner@aol.com.  I don't want anyone going through what I did alone.

2014 MTV Movie Awards Recap

I love watching any award show on MTV because you never know what is going to happen.  This years host was Conan O'Brien and I was upset when I heard this.  Honestly he just isn't that funny to me.  I was totally not impressed by him.  Twenty One Pilots performed their song Car Radio but I've never heard of them.  They were interesting.  Zac Efron getting shirtless was the BEST moment for sure!  Channing Tatum won the Trailblazer Award which he totally deserved.  I'm kinda in love with him.  The performance I was most excited for was Eminem and Rihanna singing The Monster.  It was of course FREAKING amazing!  The Paul Walker dedication was very touching and I honestly cried.  He was honestly my favorite actor.  He will be greatly missed.  Mark Wahlberg won the Generation Award.  I'm a bigger fan of his brother but it was well deserved.  Ellie Goulding and Zedd performed Beating Heart and Find You from Divergent.  I'm obsessed with Ellie Goulding right now so I loved it.  Overall it was a pretty good but it needed a better host.  I've put all winners below in bold.  Tell me your thoughts!

Got Ink?

This post brought to you by BIC 4-Color pen. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love using different colors when I take notes but buying a bunch of pens can be expensive.  There is now a soultion!  4 Inseparable Colors in 1 Pen!  The colors include red, blue, green, and black.  I take four classes so I can easily just choose a color for each one.  It will keep you organized plus you never get bored.  I'll never get confused on which notes are for which class again!  The hard part now is deciding which color to use for which class.  Watch the videos below to see how the pen works.

Each color has it's own personality.  Red is all about grammer and perfection.  Green can get jealous but still has a soft side.  Black is the underdog of the bunch.  Blue is full of himself always.  I can probably relate the most to green.  I'm never really jealous but I'm a huge softie.  Which personality fits you the  best?  You don't even need to leave your house to buy the BIC® 4-Color pen.  You can buy from Amazon or Staples online.  Make you follow BIC® 4-Color pen on their Facebook and Twitter.  They host giveaways and also other fun videos.  Let me know if you like this pen and how you are going to use it!

Film Friday: Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken

TGIF!  Nobody let me know if they liked this new series so tell me your thoughts.  Today's movie recommendation is one of my all time favorites.  It's called Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken.  I would watch this pretty much every day as a kid.  Basically the girl runs away and joins the circus.  A tragic accident happens and she has to adjust to a new lifestyle.  As a kid I never understood the true meaning but now I love everything about it.  It is a love story but it also has great life lessons.  Also if you are an animal lover then you'll love it.  If you've seen it tell me your favorite part!

♥Weekly Obsession♥

I'm SUPER excited for today's post!  I made a pretty big purchase recently.  I bought the Titan 3 curling wand from NuMe.  My hair is really thick and never holds any curls so I decided I needed to invest in a good curling iron.  I had heard of this wand on YouTube but I couldn't justify spending $250.  After researching I found a coupon code that reduced it to $89!  Guess what?  I have a coupon code for all of you!  Click here and use NUMESPRING50 at the check out.  This will get you 50% off plus Free Shipping on Styling Tools, Hair Care Products and Accessories. So I went for it and I'm in love.  Here is what it looks like.

I ordered the pink color but it comes in many different color options  So it comes with 3 different sized wands.  They are 100% titanium so the heat is evenly distributed.  There is a 19 mm which is the smallest.  This gives you tight curls like Taylor Swift had back in the day.  Next is the 25 mm which is medium sized.  This gives you a natural bouncy curl.  Finally there is the 32 mm which is the largest.  This gives you a beachy wave type curl.  It goes up to 200 degrees Celsius which equals about 400 degrees Fahrenheit.  Don't worry it comes with a heat protectant glove so you don't burn your hand.  On Monday I tried each barrel on different sections of my hair just to see if it would last.  I put the heat on 130 and no used hairspray.  The curls actually lasted!  It is also super quick to do.  I highly recommend this if you have hair that just won't last.  If you'd like to create any looks to share let me know!

DWTS Season 18: It's Switch Up Week!

Welcome to week 4!  Tonight is a HUGE night.  The celebrities will find out which professional America voted for them to dance with.  This has never happened before.  Also Julianne Hough is the guest judge.  I miss her so much!  The show started with a big group number including the celebrities which was SO good!  Nobody will be going home this week.  Tonight the Macy's Star's Of Dance is back and choreographed by the one and only Derek Hough!  It was SO FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!  I wish it never ended!

CANDACE CAMERON BURE AND TONY DOVOLANI:
Her new professional wants her to work on her character.  This week she danced Quickstep.  I think the switch was great for her.  She seemed to be having more fun.  It wasn't perfect but I did really enjoy it.  It was just fun.  Her score was 28 of 40.

JAMES MASLOW AND CHERYL BURKE:
He enjoys the break but misses his partner a lot.  This week he danced the Tango.  I loved this dance!  It had passion and intensity.  Chemistry was incredible!  I couldn't even tell they were switched.  I'm really loving him a lot.  His score was 35 of 40.

DREW CAREY AND WITNEY CARSON:
He hasn't missed his partner because his new partner has more patience.  This week he danced the Cha Cha.  I really liked it!  Of course it was super fun as always.  I think having a younger partner brought out his personality more.  His score was 33 of 40.

DANICA MCKELLAR AND MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY:
She switched brothers!  She is not used to her new partners teaching approach.  This week she danced the Jive.  She was a lot more confident.  I wanted more actually Jive steps.  I did like the comedy part of it, I just wanted more from her.  Her score was 32 of 40.

CHARLIE WHITE AND PETA MURGATROYD:
His biggest challenge is the different teaching style.  This week he danced the Rumba.  Personally it wasn't his best.  It wasn't what I picture as a Rumba.  They chemistry just didn't mesh at all.  It seemed too friendly.  His score was 33 of 40.

AMY PURDY AND MARK BALLAS:
She needs to teach her new partner what works and what doesn't.  This week she danced Salsa.  I actually SUPER excited for this pairing and they killed it!  I just love her so so much.  She danced a lot more on her own.  This was the best pairing so good job America!  Her score was 34 of 40.

CODY SIMPSON AND SHARNA BURGESS:
There is a big age gap so his new partner doesn't allow him to goof off as much.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  It was so cute!  It was young but still mature.  It wasn't perfect yet but he will get there.  I am a fan of him!  His score was 31 of 40.

NENE LEAKES AND DEREK HOUGH:
She likes how her new partner showcases her personality.  This week she danced Jazz.  It was her best yet!  She personality just shined the entire time.  She really need this switch!  Plus Derek is just amazing no matter who his partner is.  Her score was 32 of 40.

MERYL DAVIS AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
She also switched brothers!  Her new partner is more strict.  This week she danced Argentine Tango.  BEST DANCE OF THE NIGHT!  This is one of my favorite styles and I loved it.  You guys know I'm not a fan of her but it was amazing.  Her score was 39 out of 40.

Motivational Monday: Be A Storyteller

Happy Monday!  I'm actually happy that it's a new week.  It's supposed to be in the 60's this week which is a HUGE deal if you live in Nebraska.  Over the weekend I was scrolling through Tumblr to avoid homework as I usually do.  I came across a picture that inspired this post.

I love this quote!  It is so true if you actually think about it.  I've always loved to travel.  I just enjoy the adventure of it.  When I was younger I'd road trip with my older sister every summer.  We have so many fun memories from that.  Now we are official adults and life has just gotten in the way.  Lately all I can think about is going on an actual vacation to somewhere I've never been.  My cousin and I decided to save up money now so next summer we can just do it.  We are undecided on where we are going but at least we have committed.  I encourage all of you to go and travel.  Become a storyteller and create memories.

Mamma Chia Review!

Hey everybody!  Today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite products right now.  It is a company called Mamma Chia.  My friend actually introduced me to them.  I love it because I'm not a healthy eater at all.  Their products offer a TON of benefits.  They are also all natural.  So I contacted them and asked if I could do a review for you guys.  They mailed me some products and now I'm going to share my thoughts.  If you try any of their products let me know what you think!  You can comment below or tweet me @jerica_89.

Chia Squeeze:
One of their products are called Chia Squeeze pouches.  These are perfect for on the go because they don't need to be refrigerated.  You can one in your purse, backpack, or even your gym bag.  Each pouch contains 1200mg of Omega-3 and a good source of fiber.  Pouches range from 70-80 calories and are all gluten and vegan free.  I received 4 different pouches from the 6 they have.

The first one I tried was the Apple Cinnamon.  It was so good!  It tastes exactly like an Apple Pie in a pouch.  The consistency is a little too thick for my liking.  I have weird thing about textures.  I really loved it though.

Next I tried the Green Magic.  I was really nervous about trying this flavor.  I noticed one of the ingredients was kale which I've never had before.  When you first taste it is bitter but then it goes fruity.  It tastes like mango which is another ingredient.  I didn't love this one but it wasn't terrible.

Next up was the Strawberry Banana.  Now normally I never try any products with this flavor because I don't like strawberry.  This was a surprise though.  You can actually taste the bananas more than the strawberry.  It was my favorite.

The last one I tried was the Blackberry Bliss.  I've never had blackberries before so I was a little nervous.  It reminded me of jelly.  I would put the on my toast in the mornings if I could.  It was more watery than the others but really good.

Vitality Beverages:
Another Mamma Chia product are the Vitality Beverages.  Since these need to be refrigerated and are in glass bottles they sent me 3 coupons for free drinks.  I bought mine at Whole Foods in case you are wondering.  Each drink has 2500 mg of Omega-3, 4g of complete protein, 95 mg of calcium, fiber, and antioxidants.  They are also gluten free and vegan.  I only tried 3 of the 9 they have but I will be trying more.

The first one I tried was Raspberry Passion.  The biggest difference I noticed between the drinks and pouches was in the drink you feel the seeds more.  It still like a juice consistency though.  This flavor was very tart.  After you got over that it wasn't bad.

Next I tried the Cherry Lime flavor.  I was really excited to try this one.  I totally loved it!  I was hoping it would be more cherry tasting.  The lime is stronger though.  This one is my favorite so far.

Lastly I tried the Pomegranate Mint flavor.  I was very nervous about this one.  I love pomegranate but I wasn't sure if it would mix well with mint.  The mint was too overpowering for my taste.  It needed more of a pomegranate flavor instead.

Film Friday!

TGIF!  If you are a long time viewer of my blog you are probably wondering where Music Friday is.  I explain it all here in My March Playlist.  If you noticed by the title and picture, I'm starting a new Friday series.  I'm calling it Film Friday and I'll be recommending a movie every week.  I own over 200 movies so I thought this would be perfect.  Today's movie is Dirty Dancing.  I've been watching this movie since I was little.  If you've never seen it, I'll give a brief synopsis.  It's basically about a young woman who goes on vacation with her family and falls in love for the first time with somebody who is off limits.  I love Patrick Swayze in this movie.  He plays the perfect bad boy role and looks really hot.  I feel like everybody should have this in their collection.  Also the soundtrack is amazing.  Let me know if you like this new series or tell me what you'd like to see.
