My September Playlist!

Where did September go?  It went by too fast!  A lot happened in my life this month.  I'm back in school which is a HUGE update!  This will be my second degree so I'm trying to get back in the groove of it.  Also football has started which is my favorite time of year.  Unfortunately this month is not ending on a good note.  I've been super sick for the last week and it sucks.  I'm still obsessed with last month's playlist which you can check out here.  I was very selective about what songs made the list.  I'm extremely happy with how it turned out.  What songs are you loving?

1. Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift
I know you guys saw this coming!  I love everything Taylor does so obviously this song made the list.  I've loved this song since I got this album so I'm really glad it's a single.  I'm not a huge fan of the video because I pictured it differently.  I do love Scott Eastwood though!  Also, I'm going to her concert in 9 days!!!!!!!  Be looking for a post all about it!  Favorite lyric: He's so tall and handsome as hell He's so bad but he does it so well I can see the end as it begins My one condition is Say you'll remember me standing in a nice dress, Staring at the sunset, babe Red lips and rosy cheeks Say you'll see me again Even if it's just in your wildest dreams

2. Levels by Nicks Jonas
I am OBSESSED with Nick Jonas!  When did he start looking so sexy?  I don't even mind!  All of his songs are instant hits.  I do wish this song came out during the summer because it seems more fitting.  Plus this video is EVERYTHING!!!!  The only way to make it better is have him shirtless.  I really hope that happens!  Favorite lyric: I know, we can get higher There's levels to your love Yeah, there's levels to your love And I know, we can get higher There's levels to your love And I keep on climbing up

3. What Do You Mean? by Justin Bieber
My Bieber obsession is back!  I stopped listening to his music when he went crazy.  When I saw his campaign for this song I still wasn't sure.  Then I actually heard it and I've been playing it ever since!  I love how it's slightly techno but still soulful.  The true test for me will be his album.  Favorite lyric: You're overprotective when I'm leaving Trying to compromise but I can't win You wanna make a point but you keep preaching You had me from the start, won't let this end First you wanna go to the left then you want to turn right Wanna argue all day, make love all night First you're up then you're down then between Ohh I really wanna know What do you mean?

4. Hair by Little Mix
Little Mix are killing it right now!  I honestly can't wait for this album!!!!  This is the perfect break up song.  It's catchy and upbeat.  It's just a really fun song!  I listen to it every single day.  A lot of people think it's about Zayn but I'm pretty sure they wrote it before the break up.  I'm all for girl power!  Favorite lyric: Cause he was just a d*** and I knew it Got me going mad sitting in this chair
Like I don't care Gotta get him out my hair I tried everything but it's useless He pushed me so far now I'm on the edge Make him disappear Go get him out my hair

5. Downtown by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
Macklemore is my biggest guilty pleasure.  I just love his music!  He can literally make a song about anything and it would be a hit.  I feel so happy every time I hear this song.  I love the 70's vibe of this song.  It really makes it easy to recognize and it's different which I like.  The video is the best since Thrift Shop.  I just love it!  Favorite lyric: It's me, the M the A-C the K Stunting like a French pimp from back in the day I take her to Pend Oreille and I watch her skate I mean, water ski, ollie ollie oxen free I'm perusing down fourth and they watching me I do a handstand, an eagle lands on my seat Well hello, but baby, the kickstand ain't free Now do you or do you not wanna ride with me I got one girl, I got two wheels She a big girl but ain't a big deal I like a big girl, I like 'em sassy Going down the backstreet listening to Blackstreet

6. Locked Away by R. City feat. Adam Levine
I only liked this song because of Adam Levine at first.  Then I found myself randomly humming it during the day. I really like the message of this song.  More songs need to have messages like this because they really do affect people.  I also love the beat.  It's just very catchy.  I'm interested to see what their other music will sound like.  I'll have to check it out.  Favorite lyric: If I got locked away And we lost it all today Tell me honestly Would you still love me the same? If I showed you my flaws If I couldn't be strong Tell me honestly Would you still love me the same?

7. Feelings by Maroon 5
I have an embarrassing story with this song.  It came on my radio and I was immediately excited because I thought that they had a new album coming out.  Then later that day I had my iPod on and this song came on.  Also I had played it 12 times!  I guess I just forgot all about it!  My friend thought it was SO funny but oh well!  I love this song though!  It also has a slight 70's vibe which I'm obsessed with right now.  Favorite lyric: If you want me take me home and let me use you I know he doesn't satisfy you like I do And does he know that there's nobody quite like you So let me tell you all the things he never told you I got these feelings for you And I can't help myself no more Can't fight these feelings for you No, I can't help myself no more

8. Break A Sweat by Becky G
I discovered this song at 3 in the morning when I couldn't sleep.  I honestly can't stop listening to it!  It's so upbeat and just really fun.  It makes you want to dance!  I like to listen to it in the mornings to get in a good mood for my day.  It would be a good work out song too.  I've always liked her songs so I'm glad I heard this one.  Favorite lyric: Can you take me places I've never been Never been before?
Give me loving 'til I just can't take it Take it any more Baby break a sweat, break a sweat Baby break a sweat Don't get tired yet, tired yet Don't get tired yet Baby break a sweat, break a sweat Baby break a sweat Keep on doing it, doing it Keep on doing it

9. Infinity by One Direction
This was a last minute addition.  1D announced that their new album will be come out in November.  If you pre-ordered then you got this track.  So of course I did and I'm in love.  I love the way they are going with their music.  It's very mature sounding and I love it.  I can't wait for the rest of the album!!!!  I will do a full review so don't worry!  Favorite lyric: How many nights does it take to count the stars? That's the time it would take to fix my heart Oh, baby, I was there for you All I ever wanted was the truth, yeah, yeah How many nights have you wished someone would stay? Lie awake only hoping they're okay I never counted all of mine If I tried, I know it would feel like infinity Infinity, infinity, yeah Infinity

10. Like I'm Gonna Lose You by Meghan Trainor feat. John Legend
I didn't even realize that this was a favorite until it was stuck in head.  I'm constantly singing this song.  It reminds me of a old school classic love song.  I love the oldies and I love how her songs always have that sound.  I'm not a big John Legend fan but he fits the song perfectly.  Favorite lyric: So I'm gonna love you Like I'm gonna lose you I'm gonna hold you Like I'm saying goodbye wherever we're standing I won't take you for granted 'cause we'll never know when When we'll run out of time so I'm gonna love you Like I'm gonna lose you I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you

Quiz Tuesday: Which “Golden Girl” Are You?

Happy Tuesday!!!!  I'm back finally!  Last week's TV schedule messed up my posts and then I got very sick.  Don't worry I'm back on track.  I'm super excited for today's quiz.  Awhile back I talked about my love for the Golden Girls.  When I saw this quiz on the website I got SO happy.  Today's quiz is called Which “Golden Girl” Are You?  I have a pretty good idea but I'm excited to see if I'm right.  You can take the quiz with me here.  Share your results!!!

I got Dorothy!  The description says: You’re more likely to be seen reading a book than out on the town. And that’s OK! When it comes to romance, you’re picky, and you’d rather rely on close friends than lovers anyway. You have a tendency to be sarcastic, but those who care about you see your good heart and loyal nature.

I am SO shocked!  I was sure I would get Rose.  Everybody says I act just like her.  I do fit the description pretty well though.  Maybe I'm just a mixture of them all!

DWTS Season 21: It's TV Week!!!!!!!

It's week 3!!  I'm super excited because it's TV week!  Each couple will be dancing to their favorite TV theme song.  Who doesn't love a theme song?  There is also a guest judge tonight.  It's Alfonso Riberio!!!!!  It will be interesting to see his point of view since he won season 19.  The show kicked off with a female pro dance number.  It was SO good!  Tonight another celebrity will be eliminated.  Make sure you keep voting for your favorites!  Come back next Monday for more!

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
His TV show is The Golden Girls.  This week he danced Jazz.  I thought this dance was cute.  I love him but I want more from him.  He really needs to push himself and really improve.  He needs to work on opening up.  He dances so small and I know he can do better.  He hasn't been my favorite since week 1.  His score is 31 of 40.

PAULA DEEN AND LOUIS VAN AMSTEL:
Her TV show is Gilligan's Island.  This week she danced the Samba.  I thought this dance was a lot of fun.  It started off really great but then it sorta went downhill.  She missed a few steps which messed her up.  She needs to really commit to the choreography.  It will really help her confidence.  She can totally do it.  Her score is 20 of 40.

TAMAR BRAXTON AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
Her TV show Mad Men.  This week she danced the Tango.  She is amazing!  It had just the right amount of passion.  They have definitely worked on their chemistry.  I could literally watch her all day long.  I really think she can win the show!  She just needs to trust him more.  Her score is 33 of 40.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND MARK BALLAS:
Her TV show is Breaking Bad.  This week she danced Jazz.  The dance was crazy!!!  I couldn't tell who was the pro and who was the celebrity.  It was mind blowing!  She needs to realize that Mark is her partner and Carlos is her husband.  Once she realizes that then she could go very far.  They needs to keep that connection.  Her score is 36 of 40.

ANDY GRAMMER AND ALLISON HOLKER:
His TV show is American Bandstand.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  I didn't love it.  His posture was off and his feet were messy.  It also felt like a Jive and not a quickstep.  He needs to rely on his partner more.  If he stopped thinking so hard then he could do much better.  His score is 29 of 30.

GARY BUSEY AND ANNA TREBUNSKAYA:
His TV show is The Addams Family.  This week he danced the Tango.  It wasn't terrible.  He tried so hard and I thought he did a great job.  He ACTUALLY did the dance!  I'm proud of him especially almost being eliminated.  He always brings it all every week.  He is most improved for sure.  His score is 25 of 30.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
His TV show is True Blood.  This week he danced the Tango.  I'm not sure how I feel about him.  He has good technique but I want more emotion.  The judges think he was sexy but I didn't.  I wanted a lot more passion.  He needs to work harder to win me over.  His score is 33 of 40.

KIM ZOLCIAK BIERMANN AND TONY DOVOLANI:
Her TV show is I Dream Of Jeannie.  This week she danced the Samba.  Unfortunately, she suffered from a mini stroke and couldn't compete.  This means she must withdrawal.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
Her TV show was The Jeffersons.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  I always adore her.  She just makes me smile every single time.  She only had 2 days to learn that dance and I thought she did great.  She needs to work on her frame but that's it really;  I couldn't even tell that her foot was injured.  Her score was 32 of 40.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
His TV show is Downtown Abbey.  This week he danced  the Viennese Waltz.  It was so beautiful!  I actually got chills!  It was the best dance of the night!  I love everything he does.  He needs to stay relaxed in order to stay on this path.  I just love him so I'm biased.  He could win if he keeps doing this.  His score is 36 of 40.

HAYES GRIER AND EMMA SLATER:
His TV shows is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  This week he danced the Jive.  Well it was entertaining.  I didn't like it though.  It just didn't look like a Jive.  He lost energy as the dance went on.  Also his kicks need work.  I just didn't feel connected to him this time.  He did work hard though.  His score is 30 of 40.

Results:
Everybody is safe because Kim had to withdrawal.

Weekly Obsession!

I never really like talk shows.  They just seem boring and aimed for older people.  I've made a discovery and I can't get enough!  My weekly obsession is.........The Real!!!!  This talk show is perfect for girls like me in their 20's.  They discuss important topics but make it interesting.  They are more my age range so I think that is what drew me in.  There are games and guests which I love.  I get emotional every episode.  They just keep it real!  That is where the name comes from.  I've added this show to my morning routine.  It's on every weekday at 11 AM.  I HIGHLY suggest you check it out!  What talk shows do you watch?

DWTS Season 21: Pro Hometown Glory

It's night 2 of week 2!!  Tonight another celebrity will be eliminated.  Last night the celebrities showed off their hometowns and now it's the pros turn.  I'm excited about this because I like learning about the pros.  They are just as important as the celebrities.  If you missed last night's recap click here.  This is the first time the celebrities have had to learn two dances so soon.  I have no idea who will be going home tonight.  The show started with a pro number.  I loved it!  Make sure you vote to keep your favorites safe!  Come back next Monday for TV week!

HAYES GRIER AND EMMA SLATER:
Emma is from Tamworth, England.  She picked the song Are You Gonna Be My Girl.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  I'm starting to really like him.  It was modern and youthful.  I loved the choreography.  I wasn't ready for him to be that good.  He still needs to work on his frame and feet but girls love him.  His score is 23 of 30.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
Witney is from American Fork, Utah.  She chose the song Hound Dog.  This week he danced the Cha Cha.  I loved this dance!  It was such a different take on the Cha Cha.  It did need more traditional steps but it was fun.  I did want more swagger from him but he still looked good.  I'm still a fan!  His score is 21 of 30.

GARY BUSEY AND ANNA TREBUNSKAYA:
Anna is from Chelyabinsk, Russia.  She chose the song 1812 Overture.  This week he danced the Paso Doble.  Well he stayed in character.  I just can't take him seriously.  I wanted more control and passion.  It was all over the place and off beat.  I'm not sure he'll go very far.  His score is 15 of 30.

ANDY GRAMMER AND ALLISON HOLKER:
Allison is from Los Angeles, California.  She chose the song Heaven Is A Place On Earth.  This week he danced Contemporary.  It was SO much better than last night.  It was such a beautiful dance.  It was some extremely hard choreography and he did it.  His arms need some work still but he was much more focused tonight.  His score is 23 of 30.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND MARK BALLAS:
Mark is from London, England.  He chose the song Somewhere In Time.  This week she danced the Rumba.I got very emotional during this.  It was so classy and I loved it.  It was just so simple and elegant and just beautiful.  She did need a bit more hip action but she was gorgeous.  Her score is 22 of 30.

PAULA DEEN AND LOUIS VAN AMSTEL:
Louis is from Amsterdam, Netherlands.  He chose the song Get Ready.  This week she danced the Tango.  I was slightly disappointed.  There were some mistakes which made the mood go down.  She has so much potential and sass.  I really want to see more of that.  She needs to stay focused.  Her score is 18 of 30.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
Derek is from Sandy, Utah.  He chose the song Only A Man.  This week she danced the Waltz.  It was so beautiful and touching.  She always looks amazing.  I adore the connection between them.  There was a lift which is against the rules.  I didn't even care though.  Her score is 23 of 30.

KIM ZOLCIAK BIERMANN AND TONY DOVOLANI:
Tony is from Pristina, Kosovo.  He chose the song Come Home.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  She did incredible!  I can't believe the difference she has made from last week.  She is actually naturally graceful.  I think she does better with the formal dances.  Her footwork could use some work but she has potential.  Her score is 18 of 30.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
Lindsay is from Provo, Utah.  She chose the song American Girl.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  I thought the dance was cute and a lot of fun.  He messed up quite a few times which made me not love it.  His shoulders were raised which made him seem very closed off.  I'm rooting for him though.  His score is 22 of 30.

VICTOR ESPINOZA AND KARINA SMIRNOFF:
Karina is from Kharkiv, Ukraine.  She chose the song Girl On Fire.  This week he danced the Rumba.  I thought this was his best dance so far.  I didn't love it though.  It didn't feel like a Rumba to me at all.  It was too powerful and not sensual enough.  He needs so much work still.  I'm just not a fan 20 of 30.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
Sharna is from Wagga Wagga, Austrailia.  She chose the song Coming Home.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  I LOVED IT!!!!  I got emotional again!  It was such a special moment and I couldn't look away.  He made a comeback from last night.  He was just so focused and it was beautiful.  He will go very far and I'm voting for him!!!  His score is 24 of 30.

TAMAR BRAXTON AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
Val is from New York City.  He chose the song Living In New York.  This week she danced the Charleston.  OMG I just love her!  It was AMAZING on so many levels.  It was funky and modern.  She killed it!  Their connection is so much better than last night.  I want more!!!!!!!!  #SlayTay  Her score is 25 of 30.

Results:
Tamar, Bindi, Nick, Alek, Alexa, Carlos, Paula, Kim, Andy, Hayes, and Gary are safe.  Victor has been eliminated.

DWTS Season 21: Hometown Glory

It's week 2 and already a double eviction is happening!  Tonight one celebrity will say goodbye to the competition.  Then tomorrow night another celebrity must go.  This is the first time I've seen the celebrities do dances this early.  I can't wait for it!  Tonight the celebrities will be doing dances dedicated to their hometowns.  Make sure you vote so your favorites don't go home.  Come back tomorrow night to see who us the second celebrity eliminated!

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
His hometown is Tampa, FL.  He chose the song Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.  This week he danced the Jive.  Now this is one of my favorite dances so I have high standards.  He didn't do very well.  He actually slipped and fell.  I think that really got in his head for the rest of the dance.  At least he stayed confident.  I'm still rooting for him though!  His score is 21 of 30.

PAULA DEEN AND LOUIS VAN AMSTEL:
Her hometown is Savannah, GA.  She chose the song Midnight Train To Georgia.  This week she danced the Rumba.  I was SO impressed!  This is a very sensual dance but she pulled it off.  She improved a lot!  She still needs to work on her turns but this was great.  I just can't believe she improved that much in a week.  Her score is 19 of 30.

HAYES GRIER AND EMMA SLATER:
His hometown is Moorsville, NC.  He chose the song This Is How We Roll.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  OMG you guys I can't believe that performance.  He can dance and I couldn't look away!  I wasn't loving him last week but now I'm a fan.  He still needs work but I like him.  His score is 22 of 30.

CHAKA KHAN AND KEO MOTSEPE:
Her hometown is Chicago, IL.  She chose the song Chicago.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  This was rough to watch.  She forgot steps again.  I do like how she just continues on instead of dwelling on her mistake.  She just has fun.  Sadly I don't think she'll last.  Her score is 15 of 30.

ANDY GRAMMER AND ALLISON HOLKER:
His hometown is Chester, NY.  He chose the song Only The Good Die Young.  This week he danced the Jive.  I really like him.  It started great and then became messy.  He lost timing and his steps seemed rushed.  His performance is great though which makes you love him.  His score is 21 of 30.

KIM ZOLCIAK BIERMANN AND TONY DOVOLANI:
Her hometown is Atlanta, GA.  She chose the song Queen Bee.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  I'm gonna say she was the most improved!  She came out and danced for herself.  She just had fun and she can actually dance!  Her form needs work but I really liked it.  Her score is 19 of 30.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
His hometown is Sacramento, CA.  He chose the song Don't Stop Believin'.  This week he danced Jazz.  I have mixed feeling about this.  I thought the danced was super cute but he barely danced!  There were just too many lifts and I wanted to see him dance.  It just didn't showcase him very well.  His score is 23 of 30.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND MARK BALLAS:
Her hometown is Covel. CA.  She chose the song Que Es Lo Que Quiere Esa Nena.  This week she danced the Salsa.  She KILLED it!!!  I thought she was good last week but tonight she was FANTASTIC!  I want MORE!!!!!!  Her husband should be scared for sure.  She's one of my favorites!  Her score is 24 of 40.

VICTOR ESPINOZA AND KARINA SMIRNOFF:
His hometown is Hildago, Mexico.  He chose the song La Bamba.  This week he danced the Jive.  It was a big mess.  He was off time, dropped his prop, and forgot his moves.  It was a lot of fun just very hard to watch.  He needs lots of work still.  We'll see how long he lasts.  His score is 17 of 30.

TAMAR BRAXTON AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
Her hometown is Severn, MD.  She chose the song We Are Family.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  I just love her.  This was her element and I just can't stop watching.  She needs to work on her connection with her partner.  She kinda loses her spark in hold.  I love her though!  Her score is 24 of 30.

GARY BUSEY AND ANNA TREBUNSKAYA:
His hometown is Tulsa, OK.  He chose the song Wouldn't It Be Nice.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  Well it was better than I thought.  It looked like a real dance this time.  I do like his energy and how much fun he has.  I'm still not loving him though.  His score is 18 of 30.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
His hometown is Columbia, MO.  He chose the song Home.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  I love him!  This dance was beautiful and elegant.  He is just so natural.  I love his connection with his partner.  I could watch him all night long.  He is amazing.  His score is 24 of 30.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
Her hometown is the Australia Zoo.  She chose the song You Shook Me All Night.  This week she danced the Tango.  She just surprises me every time she dances.  She has a hidden dark side and I loved it!  She needs to stay contained in frame but I still loved all of it.  She is going to win the entire show.  I have no doubt about it.  Her score is 25 of 30.

Results:
Bindi, Carlos, Tamar, Alexa, Nick, Victor, Kim, Alek, Andy, Hayes, Paula, and Gary are safe.  Chaka Khan has been eliminated.

Cooking Corner: Zucchini Bread

This is my FAVORITE time of year for baking.  It's starting to get colder outside and baking just makes everything cozier.  One of my favorite foods is zucchini bread.  Don't worry, you can't even taste the zucchini.  That was why it took me awhile to try it but I'm SO glad I did!  I found this recipe on Pinterest of course!  I did slightly alter it though so I thought I would share the recipe with you guys today.  If you make this then make sure you tweet me pictures!  Also let me know any recipes that you want to see!

Ingredients:
1 pound zucchini (Make sure it is finely shredded and placed in a towel to remove excess moisture.  You’ll end up with about 1 to 1 1/2 cups)
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon allspice
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/4 cup plain yogurt (not fat-free)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice or sour cream
6 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Generously coat a 9-inch by 5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray

2. Chop the ends off the zucchini (just 1/4-inch off each end) and finely shred the zucchini, peel and all. Place the shredded zucchini in a clean kitchen towel, wrap the towel, and wring the ends (like a an old-fashioned candy wrapper) to squeeze out all the excess water. You should have about 1 to 1 1/2 cups of dry zucchini. Set the zucchini aside.

3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice, and salt.

4. In a smaller bowl, whisk the sugar, yogurt, eggs, lemon juice or sour cream, and butter until combined.

5. Gently fold the yogurt mixture and zucchini into the flour mixture, using a rubber spatula to fold the ingredients together until just combined. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan.

6. Bake until golden brown for about 45-55 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes then turn out into wire rack to cool for at least 1 hour. Store well-covered for up to three days.

Movie Haul

Something you might not know about me is that I love movies.  I own over 200 and I keep buying more!  I just like the idea of getting lost in another world.  Lately I have bought a couple so I thought I would do a haul.  If you guys want more posts like this then just let me know!  Do you have any movie recommendations?

First up is The Age Of Adaline.  The minute I saw the preview that I had to see this film.  I actually went and saw this in theater and loved it!  It's about a woman who never ages because of an accident.  It's a lot like the TV show from last year called Forever.  Blake Lively was FANTASTIC!  I really wish this was a book.  If you guys know any books similar to this then let me know!

Next I got Home.  I say I bought it so that my nieces could watch it but in reality I wanted to watch it.  It's about little aliens who take over Earth and eliminate humans.  I actually don't know everything about it because I haven't watched it yet.  My niece who is 4 says it is SOOO funny.  I guess we'll find out!

I also got Fast & Furious 7.  This by far my favorite franchise.  I own all the others so of course I bought this one.  I did a review which you can check out here.  Paul Walker is one of my favorite actors and I'm SO sad he is gone.  This film was his last so it's bittersweet.

Next I got Space Jam!  If you weren't alive in the 90's then you'll have no idea what this is.  I LOVED this film when I was a kid.  I watched it every single day!  Basically the looney toons and Michael Jordan combine worlds to defeat the monsters.  That is a terrible description but trust me it's a classic.  Plus it was only $3.

Lastly I bought Aloha.  I love all three of the actors so I had to have it.  I'm not really sure how to describe it even though I watched it.  It has a lot of different elements.  Plus it was filmed in Hawaii so it's gorgeous.  I loved this film A LOT!

Weekly Obsession!

I started cleaning out my drawers to get ready for the fall.  I found a product that I had forgotten all about.  My weekly obsession is...Pure Seduction body mist!!!!  I have been in love with this for probably 7 or 8 years.  Then about 3 years ago I bought the spring bloom version and just started using that one.  I've now fallen back in love with the original.  It is a fruity scent but it has a darker floral hint to it.  I'm not good at describing scents so here is the official description: A flirty, floral fragrance. Quiz Tuesday: What “Friends” Quote Should Be Your Life Motto?

Happy Tuesday!  I've been back in school a week and I'm already over it.  I spent all weekend on Netflix binge watching my favorite TV show.  I love Friends!!  I've talked about my obsession in a previous quiz.  The best part of any Friends episode are the quotes.  Today's quiz is fitting because it's called What “Friends” Quote Should Be Your Life Motto?  I hope it's something I like!  You can take the quiz here.  Let me know your results!

I got Unagi!  The description says: You’re a very focused person, so what better quote for you than “Unagi”? “Unagi”, according to Ross Gellar, is a term that means complete focus. Others might think of it as sushi, but a smart person like you knows that its real purpose is not for ordering sushi, but for focusing.

I think this is extremely accurate.  I'm a very focused person when it comes to school or blogging.  I do have fun though.  I also love that quote.

DWTS Season 21: It Begins NOW!!!!

It's premiere night.  If you are new to my blog make sure you come back every Monday because I recap every episode.  I'm actually really excited about this season.  There are only 3 judges this year because Len Goodman didn't come back.  This means the highest score possible is 30.  Next week is a double elimination.  Somebody will be eliminated Monday and then another on Tuesday.  The show kicked off with a huge opening number.  It was AMAZING!  I'm obsessed already!!!  Who are you rooting for this season?  Let me know!!!!!  Make sure you vote for your favorites so they stay.

VICTOR ESPINOZA AND KARINA SMIRNOFF:
He is a horse jockey.  He has no short term memory because he has had so many concussions.  This week he danced the Salsa.  I was very surprised!  I thought it was going to be a mess.  He wasn't that bad.  It needed more Salsa but I didn't hate it.  His score was 15 of 30.

TAMAR BRAXTON AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
She is a singer, reality star, and co-host of The Real.  She just wanted to get back in shape after having her baby.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  She did REALLY good!  This is one of the harder dances especially for the first week.  I'm a fan for sure.  She still needs work some work though.  Her score was 23 of 30.

CHAKA KHAN AND KEO MOTSEPE:
She is a singer a.k.a The Queen of Funk.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  This was a mess.  She forgot a lot of steps.  It was also slow and off beat.  I'm not sure she can make it very far unless she blows everybody away next week.  I don't see that happening though.  Her score was 13 of 30.

HAYES GRIER AND EMMA SLATER:
He is a social media sensation.  I have mixed feelings about him.  He really isn't a celebrity but I don't decide who gets on the show.  He has the potential to grow and become a really great dancer.  His timing was off slightly so he needs to work on that.  Girls love him so he'll go far.  His score was 21 of 30.

ANDY GRAMMER AND ALLISON HOLKER:
He is a singer.  Last season he guest performed and felt like he needed to be part of the show.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  I like him a lot!  He seemed like a natural but it was a bit jerky.  I'm sure it was just nerves.  I love that he got paired with Allison because she is great.  His score was 21 of 30.

PAULA DEEN AND LOUIS VAN AMSTEL:
She is a celebrity chef.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  I was actually pretty surprised.  She looked terrified and needed to let loose.  She was just kind of being dragged around.  I want to see her personality more.  She just needs to have fun.  Her score was 15 of 30.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
He is from Big Time Rush.  His wife is also on the show competing.  This week he danced the Jive.  He is GOOD!  He is a total natural!  I honestly didn't want it to end.  He will go very far for sure!  I'm interested to see how he will do on slower dances.  His score was 23 of 30.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND MARK BALLAS:
She is an actress.  Her husband is also competing on the show.  This week she danced the Jive.  I love her!  She really lets her personality shine.  Her choreography was really hard for the first week.  She killed it though!  She got lucky having Mark as her partner.  Her score was 22 of 30.

KIM ZOLCIAK BIERMANN AND TONY DOVOLANI:
She is a reality star.  This week she danced the Salsa.  I knew nothing about her so I didn't know what to expect.  She wasn't great to be honest.  She really held a lot back and I wanted more.  She was also very stiff.  I hope next week she just has fun.  Her score was 12 of 30.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
She is a zoo keeper.  Her father was Steve Irwin and she's doing it for him.  This week she danced the Jive.  OMG she is my favorite girl this season!  She has SO much energy and a bubbly personality.  I just love her!  I could watch her dance all day long.  People need to watch out for her.  Her score was 24 of 30.

GARY BUSEY AND ANNA TREBUNSKAYA:
He is an actor.  He suffered a brain injury years ago so he learners slower.  This week he danced the Cha Cha.  Well it was entertaining.  I couldn't look away even though he was a hot mess.  I was actually laughing out loud.  I'm not even sure that was a Cha Cha.  I don't know what is going to happen next.  I can only imagine!  His score was 15 of 30.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
He is an American hero.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  I didn't know anything about him so I didn't know what to expect.  He was very good.  He was just so elegant and graceful.  I was very impressed.  His arms need some work but overall he did a great job for never dancing before.  I'm worried he won't last because he doesn't have a big fan base.  His score was 22 of 30.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
He is a Backstreet Boy!!!  This week he danced the Cha Cha.  I've been waiting 20 seasons for a Backstreet Boy to be on the show!!!!!  He is my favorite guy this season!  He was full of energy and it was fun to watch.  I loved everything about it.  I think he will go all the way.  I'm in love and I'm totally team Nick!  His score was 24 of 30

5 Tips To Stay Motivated

Hey guys!  Today's post is something that can help us all.  We all struggle with staying motivated.  It could be with work, school, or even life.  I thought I would share some tips that I use when I feel in a slump.  If you have any tips to share I would love to hear them!  I hope I helped you in someway.

Take A Break:
Sometimes taking a step back can give you a whole new frame of mind.  You can take as long as you need.  I don't blog when I don't feel motivated because it reflects in my posts.  I wait about 3-4 days and I feel better about my content.  For school, you can use a reward system.  Set goals and you complete it you can do something you enjoy.  For example for every 30 pages you read you can watch 2 YouTube videos.

Set A Schedule:
Every Sunday night I plan out my week.  Writing down everything that you want to do makes you actually want to do it.  Figure out when you are most productive.  I work better at night so I write blogs, do homework, and read emails.  It really does help!

Get Inspired:
Sometimes we just run out of ideas.  There are a TON of ways to get inspired.  Go outside.  Listen to music.  Watch a movie.  Try something new.  Basically just get out and away from whatever you are working on.

Think Positively:
Don't be so hard on yourself.  Just do the best you can and look at it positively.  If you are negative then it will reflect on your work.  Look at every situation with an open mind and just enjoy it.

Be Yourself!:
This is the most important tip.  Being true to yourself is all that matters.  Don't worry about what other people want you to do or what you think they will like.  Do what feels right for you.  There is only one you so be the best you that you can be!

Weekly Obsession!

Today's obsession isn't new but I just rediscovered.  My weekly obsession is....a workout tshirt!  Now I don't workout AT ALL but these shirts are the best!  They are by Danskin Now and cost about $9 which is a good deal.  I have a neon pink and a neon orange and I wear them all the time.  I bought mine at Walmart in the Women's section.  These shirts are lightweight and perfect for this time of year.  It gets really hot and muggy here so you tend to sweat a lot.  The shirts have a mesh back and side so it really helps you stay cooler.  Plus people will think you workout even if you don't.  I really like that for some reason.  I highly recommend them!  What are you loving this week?

Quiz Tuesday: Which Cookie Matches Your Personality?

Happy Tuesday!!!  I hope you all had an awesome holiday weekend.  I didn't do much but relax and eat lots of junk food.  I love junk food especially cookies.  I ALWAYS have some type of cookie around at all times.  That's why today's quiz is perfect.  It's called Which Cookie Matches Your Personality?  I'm interested to see what kind I get.  Hopefully it's a good one!  You can take the quiz with me here.  Share your results too!

I got Snickerdoodle!  The description says: You are the fun one and any social circle would be lucky to have you in it. You often tell yourself that life is short, so you take in as many new experiences and opportunities as you possibly can. You have a “go with the flow” mentality and you just hope that it’ll take you to new, exciting places.

I think the description fits me perfectly!  I am always saying life is too short and I love new experiences.  Also I'm a total fan of snickerdoodles.  Maybe I should go bake some now!

People With Disabilities Matter

Today's post is something very personal to me.  I experienced something that was extremely rude a few days ago and I wanted to speak up.  If you want to know more about my disability then read this post.  I've been in a wheelchair my entire life but I don't see myself that way.  I never have and never will.  I feel like I need to stand up for people who can't do it themselves.

Let's talk about the situation that I mentioned.  In December I graduated from college with a Computer Science degree.  I decided to go back for Computer Programming this fall.  I was having trouble with my Financial Aid so I decided to call the office.  I obviously can't drive on my own or take care of myself.  The lady basically said if I'm that incapable how am I taking classes and I should sign my rights over to somebody else.  I was EXTREMELY hurt and offended.  I reported her as well.

I have a brain that works.  I have my own thoughts and opinions.  I am a human being.  So my legs don't work and I can't use my arms, who cares?  I am still a person and deserve to be treated like everybody else.  Some disabilities aren't as noticeable as mine but they still matter.  Next time you see somebody who is in a wheelchair, deaf, blind, or even have down syndrome say hello.  Trust me it will make them feel happy.  Don't pity us because we don't pity ourselves.

Quiz Tuesday: How Far Would You Make It On “Big Brother”?

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you are having a good week so far.  One of my favorite things about summer is the TV show Big Brother.  I am legitimately obsessed!  I even watch the spoilers online because I just can't wait!  I've been watching it for about 6 years now.  My mom and I have discussions of what we would do if we were in the house so I thought this quiz seemed fitting.  It's called How Far Would You Make It On “Big Brother”?  I personally think I could win the entire show.  I guess we'll see what my results say!  If you want to take this quiz you can click here.  Share your results!

I got floating all the way to third!  The description says: You’ll never do much in the game besides swim and get a tan, but at least you’ll look fabulous doing it. But not as fabulous as Victoria Rafaeli.

I think being a floater is a smart move.  You only step up when it's critical and then you make a big move.  So I'm happy with my results.
