Let's Talk: Periods

This is a series I've wanted to do for awhile now.  There are some topics that people avoid talking about.  They exist so why avoid it?  Today I'm going to talk about periods.  All women have them and I'm not ashamed to talk about it.  There is a reason I chose periods as the first post.

Everyday when I sign on Facebook I always look at the trending topics.  Over the weekend I saw this article.  It's about a woman who ran the London Marathon on her period.  What made this trending?  She ran the entire time without a tampon because she wanted to raise awareness for women who don't have access to tampons or pads.  I have many thoughts on this.

First off, I applaud her for even running the marathon while on her period.  When I have my period, all I want is chocolate, Netflix, and sleep.  Yes, I am that stereotypical person and I'm prod of it!  I like her intentions a lot but I feel like there are better ways to raise awareness.  Social media is the perfect place for this type of cause.  It can reach millions with just one post.  Look at the ice bucket challenge and how many people now know about ALS.  There are thousands of people running the race and I personally would feel uncomfortable.  Not because she was on her period but having it dripping everywhere just seems so unsanitary.  I would have considered other peoples feelings before I made that decision.

What do you guys think?  Would you have done it?  Also, what do you think of this series?  Let me know how often you would want a post like this.  I can't wait to hear from you all!

New Series Idea

Hey guys!  I want to thank all of you for following my blog.  It really means a lot to me!  Today's post is all about all you!  I really want to start a series where we can discuss any topics. I've been watching a TON of videos like this on YouTube so I thought it would be perfect to blog about.  I want to be a debate/discussion series. I love thought provoking topics and it will help me get to know you guys better. It can be about life, pop culture, or just anything really. If you have suggestions leave a comment or email me at jerica.berner@gmail.com.  I really look forward to hearing all your topic ideas!

Baby Lips Peach Kiss Review

One thing I am constantly trying is lip balms.  For some reason my lips are always super dry.  I did talk about an eos review earlier this year but I felt like I had to reapply every hour or so.  While at Walgreens I decided to take the plunge and buy Baby Lips.

I chose Peach Kiss.  Why did I wait so long!  This stuff is SO amazing!  It goes on very smooth and doesn't leave your lips feeling waxy.  I experienced that with my eos one.  It's really moisturizing as well.  It lasts a long time too which I really like.  I feel like I need to go buy more.

This would be perfect for parents who don't want their kids wearing make up yet.  It is very lightly tinted and you can barely see it on.  It does have shimmer so if you aren't a fan of that try another flavor.  What do you think of Baby Lips?  Also leave me some other good lip balm suggestions.  I'm always looking for more!

My March Playlist!

March is over!!!!  I'm personally glad because my mouth is better...so far.  Hopefully I'm fixed!  I'm also glad because spring is here!  Our winter hasn't been as bad as some places but I'm over the cold.  I definitely have spring fever!  I will hopefully be blogging more regularly now that I'm fixed.  If you have any requests let me know.  This month's playlist is 90% female artists which I typically don't listen to.  I can't get enough!  If you missed last month's playlist you can check it out here.  I'm still loving it.  What songs are you loving?  Tell me in the comments!

1. Masterpiece by Jessie J
When I first heard this I had NO clue it was her.  It sounds so different from her other stuff but I love it!  The message is so powerful.  It shows that nobody is perfect.  It takes time to discover who we are as a person.  Whoever you choose to be is perfect no matter what others say or think.  Everybody needs this advice.  Favorite lyric: I still fall on my face sometimes And I can't color inside the lines
'Cause I'm perfectly incomplete I'm still working on my masterpiece And I, I wanna hang with the greats Got a way to go, but it's worth the wait No, you haven't seen the best of me I'm still working on my masterpiece

2. One Last Time by Ariana Grande
I find myself singing this song all the time.  It's just SO catchy!  This has always been one of my favorite songs from her album.  I haven't talked much about her album but I do love it.  I hate this music video though because I think the theme is dumb.  The song has nothing to do with meteor showers or the end of the world.  I'm not a fan but the song is great.  Favorite lyric: So one last time I need to be the one who takes you home One more time I promise after that I'll let you go Baby I don't care if you got her in your heart All I really care is you wake up in my arms One last time I need to be the one who takes you home

3. Trouble by Iggy Azalea feat. Jennifer Hundson
I'm back to listening to Iggy.  I got bored for awhile but this song just drew me in.  She is my favorite female rapper right now.  I listen to this every night while I'm getting ready for bed.  I really love the slightly old school sound.  Plus what girl hasn't fallen for a bad boy?  We've all been there!  Favorite lyric: Don’t you come here thinking you’re ballin' Ain't down for it You seem like trouble to me I can tell by the way that you lean And the way that you kiss your teeth And you turn up so fresh and clean
Smells like trouble to me

4. Superman (It's Not Easy) by Five For Fighting
I forgot all about this song!  My friend plays guitar and sings so that is how I rediscovered it.  It's such a great song!  I actually love all of their music.  Check them out if you get the chance.  I've been listening to it pretty much since my friend played it.  It should be on everybody's playlists.  Favorite lyric: It may sound absurd but don't be naïve Even heroes have the right to bleed I may be disturbed but won’t you concede Even Heroes have the right to dream And it's not easy to be me

5. I Really Like You by Carly Rae Jepsen
She's back!  A lot of people thought she would be a one hit wonder even I quite liked her last album.  I think it's the perfect song to kick off spring because I can totally see it being a prom anthem.  It's really fun and catchy which she does well.  I'm not a big fan of the video though.  I don't really get why Tom Hanks is in it but it's still an awesome song.  Favorite lyric: I really really really really really really like you And I want you. Do you want me? Do you want me too? I really really really really really really like you And I want you. Do you want me? Do you want me too? Oh, did I say too much? I'm so in my head When we're out of touch I really really really really really really like you
And I want you. Do you want me? Do you want me too?

6. Nobody Love by Tori Kelly
This is my current jam!  I constantly have it on repeat.  Her voice is just AMAZING!!  I've been listening to her music for awhile but this song has taken over my life.  It's soulful and old school and pretty much perfection.  I just can't get enough!  The video is really cool too.  I just love how simple yet powerful everything she does is.  Favorite lyric: I should be more cynical and tell myself that’s not okay (To feel this good when I’m with you) I try my best to fight it, say I hate you but I always stay Woah, woah, woah cuz Ain’t nobody love, ain’t nobody love like you do Ain’t nobody love, ain’t nobody love like you-oo-oo-oo do Ain’t nobody love, ain’t nobody love like you do Ain’t nobody love, ain’t nobody love like you-oo-oo-oo do

7. Nothin' Like You by Dan + Shay
I'm OBSESSED with this song!  I honestly love their entire album.  Every single song is amazing!  They sing country/pop music and I highly recommend you check them out.  This song just reminds me of summer for some reason.  I listen to this song at least 5 times a day.  I can't say enough about them or this song!  Hopefully I can see them in concert someday.  Favorite lyric: Nothin' like you Shades on spinning in a summer rain Dancing when there ain't no music Just the right kind of crazy, baby Something about you Rockin' that rock 'n roll t-shirt Whole party dressed up But you just doin' your thing Ain't nobody ever seen nothin' like you

8. Like Mariah by Fifth Harmony feat. Tyga
I have been playing their new album all month.  I've been a fan since the beginning and I'm loving their sound.  Girl power all the way!  This song is my current favorite.  I'm a big Mariah Carey fan and they sample my all time favorite song by her.  What's not to love?  They sound amazing as usual.  I just hope they don't become too sexy because we need to be spreading positive girl power.  Favorite lyric: Love it when you call me baby When you lighting up my phone Makes me want you like I'm crazy I'm running home, I'm running home Just to hear your heartbeat So sweet like honeycomb I gotta have you near me Cause you're the best I've ever known

9. Photograph by Ed Sheeran
Another album I've been listening to a lot lately again is Ed Sheeran's.  I just love him.  This song is so romantic and sweet.  Most of his songs are quite romantic and slow.  I'm not usually into that type of music but his voice is perfection.  I've loved him for about 4 years now.  I love how he became mainstream but still hasn't changed.  I hate when artists do that.  He is great!  Favorite lyric: We keep this love in a photograph We make these memories for ourselves Where our eyes are never closing Our hearts were never broken And times forever frozen still So you can keep me Inside the pocket Of your ripped jeans Holdin' me closer Till our eyes meet You won't ever be alone Wait for me to come home

10. Listen To Your Heart by DHT
This is a HUGE throwback to my high school days.  I forgot all about this song but I've been hearing this everywhere lately!  I heard it on Glee, The Voice, and I think I even heard it on a commercial.  I think I blocked it from my memory because it was extremely over played back in the day.  Now I've fallen back in love with it.  Favorite lyric: Listen to your heart when he's calling for you Listen to your heart there's nothing else you can do  I don't know where you're going and I don't know why, but listen to your heart before you tell him goodbye

Life Update: Mouth Problems

Hey guys!  I've decided to try out a new type of posts.  I love reading life updates on other peoples blogs so I decided to give it a try.  If you want more of these types of posts then let me know.

I don't even know where to begin!  So, back around Christmas I had terrible pain on the right side of my face.  I honestly thought I had the mumps or measles but I've been vaccinated.  Then on New Years Eve my mouth just randomly started bleeding!  So I called my dentist and he thought it was probably just my wisdom teeth.  I have seen WAY to many wisdom tooth videos so I was slightly freaking out.  I told him I was having pain but the earliest I could get in was February 13.  A whole month away!

Well I went to my appointment and it was a fail.  It was not my wisdom teeth at all!  He saw that I needed two teeth pulled but didn't actually pull them.  Makes sense right?  So a few days later the pain returned obviously.  So I went back to his office and he referred me to a oral surgeon.  He also put me on an antibiotic and pain meds.

I went to the oral surgeon with pretty high hopes.  I thought for sure within a few days he would pull them.  WRONG!  The next available appointment isn't until the 27 of this month.  So basically I'm in a lot of pain and have to take a lot of meds.  I'll try to keep posting regularly but I mostly sleep.  I'm gonna try my hardest though!

Being The Bigger Person

Yesterday a disagreement happened between me and a person who I thought knew me pretty well.  I consider them to be a friend.  I've defended her, stood up for her, and been nothing but nice.  Now I feel betrayed.  I won't go into full detail but I've learned a major lesson.  What lesson?  Being the bigger person.

First off, no matter what the situation, there is a certain way to approach me.  You have to ease into it otherwise I am automatically defensive.  This is exactly what happened.  I freaked out!  I'm not a fighter but when I get mad words just fly out.  I don't stop and think.  I may have said a few things that offended and upset her.  I immediately wanted to call my mom because I knew she'd be in my corner.  Then I thought I'm 25 not 12 so I should probably handle it myself.

After being alone for a few minutes I cooled down.  I did apologize but she didn't seem to accept it.  I'm only human.  Of course I'm going to make mistakes and say things I don't mean.  It feels refreshing to be mature.  Sometimes, no matter what you do, you just need to be the bigger person.  I know it's hard but I know you can do it.

Miracles Aren't Real?

Last week I read an article that really upset me.  If you aren't into religion then you may not like this post.  Just know that these are my thoughts and opinions.  I'd like to know your thoughts in the comments.

A guy named Kevin Malarkey wrote a book called The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven after he was in a coma for 2 months due to a car accident.  This left him paralyzed.  At the time he was 6 and at 17 he is claiming it was all fake.  He made the entire story up!  He is quoted saying: "Please forgive the brevity, but because of my limitations I have to keep this short. I did not die. I did not go to Heaven,” Malarkey writes, calling, well, malarkey on himself. “I said I went to heaven because I thought it would get me attention. When I made the claims that I did, I had never read the Bible. People have profited from lies, and continue to. They should read the Bible, which is enough. The Bible is the only source of truth. Anything written by man cannot be infallible."  I totally disagree with his statement.

I was raised a Christian.  I went to church every Sunday and studied the Bible.  He is right that people should read the Bible but how dare he claim other peoples experiences are lies.  Just because he lied about his story doesn't mean others did.  I believe miracles happen and sometimes we have spiritual experiences in order to have a second chance at life.  We are all on this Earth for a purpose.  We don't necessarily know our purpose but that's just a part of life.  You have to make the most out of our life especially if we have a second chance.

I personally never read this book but I have read others.  The books are meant to inspire people not take the place of the Bible.  You can't group everybody into your category.  I'm glad he admitted the truth but he still made a profit so he probably shouldn't be judging others.  The book has since been pulled from stores as it should be.  What do you think about this?  I'd love to hear!

Is Technology Taking Over Your Life?

This quote is true for many of us especially in today's society.  People live their lives through social media instead of having real human interaction.  I will be 26 in July and to be honest I miss the days where Internet and computers hardly existed.

Growing up we did have a computer but the Internet was sketchy.  We certainly didn't have Facebook or Twitter.  I got my first cell phone at 15 when now kids have them at 10.  I had sleepovers all the time when I was a kid and we didn't have a Wii or iPad to keep us entertained.  We listened to a boom box, played board games, and made up stories for our Barbies.  We also used real film and developed our photos to display.

I feel like this generation is missing out!  They live through social media and their phones.  Kids need to experience an actual childhood!  My nieces who are 3 and 4 can use an iPad better than I can!  Go outside and put down the technology!  Experience the real world!

This goes for all of us as well.  I don't know how many times I've been having a conversation and the other person pulls out their phone.  It's SO annoying!  Let's change this!  I'm not saying that technology isn't helpful, I just want to fix this vortex we are stuck in.

Make it a goal to have a least one human encounter a day.  It could be at lunch or a random person you meet.  Focus on what is being said because trust me you'll learn something.  Was it hard?  Did you learn anything?  Keep me posted on how it goes.

Book Haul!

One of my goals for 2015 is to read 10 books.  I've always loved to read.  As a kid my mom would have to buy me a new book every other day.  Now that I've graduated college I feel like I can finally get back into it.  So I bought a couple of books that I thought I'd share.  Do you have any recommendations?  Let me know!

I love true stories especially ones dealing with history.  This is about Louis Zamperini's incredible life story.  Plus the film looks AMAZING!

I loved this film!  I really wanted more details explained though so I bought the book.  It's about a family forced to sit shiva after their fathers death.

I read this book YEARS ago!  I reviewed the film here and I really wanted to refresh my memory.  I really wanna be able to compare them.

I love John Green!  I've heard SO much about this book.  I'm not exactly sure what it's about my friend highly recommended it.

Now Is Your Time

We are already a week into the new year.  Let's be real, most of us have either broken our resolutions or haven't even started.  I saw this quote on Instagram the other day and new I must post about it.  Nobody knows how much time we have left on Earth.  We all have a list of things we want to do before we die.  So why wait?  Life is too short for excuses.  I'll be 26 this summer and I want to accomplish as much as I can!  I have a mission for all of you.  Everyday day do something you love.  Don't keep putting it off.  If you want to run a marathon then start training now.  If you want to backpack through Europe then book the flight.  No more excuses!  Trust me you won't regret it.  Now is your time!  Tell me what you want to do!

Motivational Monday: Tips For Staying Motivated!

Happy Monday!  Now that school is out we sometimes just want to stay in bed and watch Netflix all day.  Meanwhile, everything you should be doing keeps piling up.  Be honest, we've all been there.  It's Summer!!!!!!  We need to stay motivated!  I'm not an expert but I wanted to share what I do.  Let me know if you have any tips!

Make A Plan:
This could be something simple like go for a walk or it could be something you need to do like blog.  Doing something productive will make you feel accomplished.  Even if it is just one thing at least you've done something for the day.  Just make sure it is something you actually enjoy.

Stay Positive:
There will be days when you may not enjoy the tasks that need done.  I mean nobody really wants to clean their house.  In these cases you must stay positive.  I usually will play my favorite music so I'm doing the task but focused on something else.  Staying positive makes everything go smoother.

Reward Yourself:
This is personally my favorite tip.  Rewarding yourself will keep you focused.  Sticking to your plan will be more likely if you know you get a treat at the end.  It could be a pair of shoes you've been wanting or a cupcake.  You get to choose whatever you want!  You can only reward yourself if you actually accomplish your goals though.

Motivational Monday: Growing Up

Happy Monday!  This past weekend my baby sister graduated high school.  I felt so many emotions.  It really made me miss being a kid again.  Next month I turn 25 and that means I will officially be mid 20's!  It's a scary feeling for sure.  What happened to the days when all we cared about was how long we could watch cartoons before our parents told us to go outside?  As a kid we can't wait until we are adults and be independent.  Now we want to go back to being kids with no worries.  It is a crazy cycle.  Instead of being worried about the future just embrace it!  Whatever happens will happen.  All we can do is enjoy the ride we call life.  Do any of you feel this way?  Let me know!

My April Playlist!

Hey everybody!  April is over which means I get to share my favorite songs with you.  It also means only a week left until summer break!  I'm really excited for this months playlist.  In case you missed my March playlist click here.  If you have any songs I should check out then let me know!  Also what songs are you loving right now?

1. Heartache On The Big Screen by 5SOS
I mentioned last month that their EP was coming out this month.  It is SO good!  It only has 4 songs but I literally had it on repeat everyday.  This is my favorite besides the one on my last playlist.  I love how they have evolved into pop rock.  It takes me back to my punk rock phase in high school.  Favorite lyric: The clock is ticking, and I'm out of time The camera's rolling, and I forgot my lines My script is ripped and now I see This is heartache on the big screen

2. Party Girl by Dan + Shy
You guys this is my current obsession!  Somehow I discovered Dan + Shy and I'm hooked.  I'm not a huge country fan but trust me they are AMAZING!  Their entire album is perfection so it was hard to pick just one song.  This was the one I had stuck in my head most.  Go check out the album on iTunes, you won't regret it!  Favorite lyric: I don't need all them humming, buzzing neon signs Long as you got that come and get me look in your eyes Yeah I'ma stay right here so we can disappear We can do it up right

3. Sing by Ed Sheeran
Who is excited for the new Ed Sheeran album?  I definitely can't wait!  This his first single and if it is a hint at what the rest of the album will be then I'm pumped.  I just love everything he does.  I really wish his tour was coming here!  If you have a chance to see him live do it.  It's a magical experience.  This song just gets me excited for summer.  Sadly we have to wait until June for the rest of the album.  Favorite lyric: Let it go until our roads'll change Singing we found love in a local rave No, I don’t really know what I’m supposed to say But I can just figure it out and hope and pray

4. Me And My Broken Heart by Rixton
I usually am awake until about 3 or 4 AM because I'm a night owl.  I was watching MTV and they played this video.  I was instantly hooked!  If you haven't noticed I have a very addictive personality.  It's just a really fun and catchy song.  Who knew that having a broken heart could be so upbeat?  He is still pretty new here in America.  I haven't any other songs by him but so far I'm feeling it.  Favorite lyric:  I need a little loving tonight Hold me so I'm not falling apart A little but I'm hoping it might kick start Me and my broken heart

5. John Doe by BoB ft. Priscilla
This song has an awesome message.  I like songs that actually mean something.  It really showcases what money and fame can do to a person.  We all dream of being famous but we never think of all the consequences.  We all think we wouldn't fall into the trap but peer pressure can change that.  I wasn't going to include this song but it's a message that should be shared.  Favorite lyric: Seems like the bus moves slower Just cause you got somewhere to go So you take a few pills in Beverly Hills But if anyone asks you've got a prescription You got an addiction Who do you think that you're fooling

6. Classic by MKTO
This song is my obsession!  I play it every single day on repeat.  Plus it is always playing in my head.  It's SUPER catchy!  I also just think it is a cute song.  I like the older eras so I like how they are bringing classy back even though it's still modern.  It makes me happy when I hear it.  Favorite lyric: It's love on rewind Everything is so throwback-ish (I kinda like it, like it) Out of my league Old school chic Like a movie star From the silver screen You're one of a kind living in a world gone plastic Baby you’re so classic

7. Replay by Zendaya
I've actually loved this song for awhile but I forgot all about.  While I write papers I just put my iPod on shuffle and this song popped up.  I love the beat!  It's very catchy and kind of reminds me of the 90's.  I'm not really sure why.  I don't really like her other songs though.  This is a good song to play in the morning to get ready for the day.  Favorite lyric: I wanna put you on repeat, play you everywhere I go, e-e-everywhere I go, play you everywhere I go

8. All Of Me by John Legend
I usually hate slow songs no matter who sings them.  I'm also not a huge John Legend fan.  I REALLY love this song though!  It is so simple and beautiful.  I love that he wrote it for his wife.  Plus the lyrics are so meaningful.  I love everything about it!  Favorite lyric: How many times do I have to tell you Even when you're crying you're beautiful too The world is beating you down, I'm around through every mood You're my downfall, you're my muse My worst distraction, my rhythm and blues I can't stop singing, it's ringing, in my head for you

9. You & I by One Direction
I know what you are probably thing right now.  Another One Direction song made the list?  I can't help it I just love them so much!  I'm SO upset I'm missing their tour this summer!  I've seen clips and it looks amazing!  Also for some reason I'm kinda obsessed with Harry Styles.  I'd love to him someday or meet them all!  I did a whole review of the video here.  Favorite lyric: I know how it goes I know how it goes from wrong and right Silence and sound Did they ever hold each other tight like us? Did they ever fight like us?

10. Pumpin' Blood NONONO
I have a story for this song.  About 2 months I randomly heard this song on the radio and instantly loved it.  I never heard it again and had no clue what the name of it was.  I forgot all about it until I was watching Glee and they covered it.  I'm SO glad I found it because it makes me feel happy.  You just wanna dance when it comes on.  Favorite lyric: It's the best and worst feeling like nothing can go wrong You're the decider of the world that you will get to know

Motivational Monday: Being Positive

I'm back!  Sorry there was no post last week.  Easter took all of my energy.  I'm really excited about today's post though.  We live in a world that is constantly full of negative energy.  If you are surrounded by that all the time, then eventually you'll become a negative person.  Now I'm not an expert at all, I've just learned from experience.  A few weeks ago my mom told me one of best qualities was that I see the positive in every situation.  That is very true.  Who am I to judge any situation if I don't fully know every piece of information?  I'm always pretty positive in my own life.  I'm not perfect by any means.  I do have bad days but only you change your mood.  There are many things I could dwell on to make me hate life.  What's the point of that though?  We can choose our destiny and how we live our life.  You may be wondering how to become more positive.  Over the weekend I watched a movie called The Secret.  It was life changing.  If you have Netflix I highly suggest you watch it.  It is also a book which I plan on reading after finals.  It will really change your outlook on life.  If you've seen or read it tell me your thoughts.

Jerica's Chatter: Full House Reunited?

Happy Wednesday!  It's time to talk about happened in pop culture this week.  I need a name for this series so leave suggestions.

Full House on Jimmy Fallon:
This week is Jimmy Fallon's last week on his show.  He'll be taking over The Tonight Show.  He did a hilarious skit with our favorite Full House members Danny, Joey, and Uncle Jesse.  The recreated the iconic scene where Michelle is afraid of sleeping in her big girl bed.  You must watch!

The Fault Of Our Stars:
OMG you guys this week the trailer for The Fault In Our Stars was released!!!  I honestly cried through the whole thing.  If you haven't read the book yet, what are you waiting for?  It is AMAZING!  Check out the trailer.

Seahawks Win!:
Sunday was the Super Bowl which featured the Denver Bronco's vs. the Seattle Seahawks.  I didn't really have a team but I was rooting for the Seahawks.  I thought it'd be a great game but it got boring pretty quickly.  The commercials were just average.  I didn't absolutely love any.  Bruno Mars rocked the halftime show along with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.  It was excellent.

RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman:
I couldn't decide if I wanted to include this but it's important to talk about.  On Sunday Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his New York.  He died from a drug overdose.  He was only 46.  I wasn't a huge fan but I've seen a few movies.  It's just so heartbreaking to see young talented people dying because of drugs.  I know people can only change themselves but if you know somebody who is struggling just be there for them.

Jerica's Chatter: Aaron Carter Is Back?

It's Wednesday which means it time to review all the pop culture news that happened.  If you want to see any stories then tell me in the comments.  Let's get into it!

Justin Bieber Got Arrested:
This was probably the most talked about story.  Is anybody really shocked?  Justin Bieber was arrested for drag racing, DUI, and drugs.  Now I've been a fan since the beginning but honestly I'm disappointed.  He is just going to ruin his life and career.  Also his dad was there blocking traffic while he was drag racing.  His parents need to step up and be actual parents.  It's reported that an intervention is happening in Panama.  We'll see what happens.

Aaron Carter Has A New Single:
If you grew up during the 90's then your inner childhood is probably freaking out right now.  I know I am!  Over the weekend Aaron Carter released his single for FREE on Twitter.  Surprisingly it is really good.  The single is called That's Life.  You can listen by clicking here.  What are your thoughts?

Lance Bass Makes A Music Video:
Apparently Lance Bass thought it was a good idea to release his own music video.  I'm a huge NSYNC fan but this was not good.  There was awkward dancing and it was set in the desert and just weird.  The song has potential at least.  Sorry Lance but you'll never be Justin Timberlake.  Do you think it's a hit or miss?

The Grammy's:
Of course I must talk about The Grammys.  I thought Taylor Swift looked AMAZING and her performance was flawless.  Katy Perry performed Dark Horse and it was perfection.  Everyone loved Beyonce but I wasn't that impressed.  Macklemore and Ryan Lewis had a bunch of couples get married during their performance which was touching. Lorde won a lot which honestly surprised me.  Daft Punk dominated everything which I disagree with.  I thought Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus were snubbed.  They had awesome albums.  What did you love or hate?

Announcement!

I've come up with a new idea!  I know I'm not very good at sticking to my plans but I'm going to try hard to this time.  I watch a lot of talk shows and entertainment news shows pretty much daily.  I always have my own thoughts about everything they say.  So I thought why not share with you guys!  Starting Wednesday I'll be doing a pop culture news type blog about whatever has happened for the week.  I want you guys to send me suggestions about what stories to talk about.  You can leave comments here or tweet me @jerica_89.  I haven't come up with a name for this series yet so send some name ideas too.  I'm excited!

*NSYNC At The VMA's!!!!!!!

This is HUGE news you guys!!!!  If you didn't know MTV's Video Music Awards is this Sunday.  Earlier this week it was rumored that *NSYNC was reuniting for the show.  I honestly freaked out when I heard.  I've been waiting for this moment since they broke up.  Today it was actually confirmed that they'd be performing!  I can't even contain my excitement!  I hope this could be a sign that they'll be back but for now I'll be happy with this performance.  What do you guys think?  What songs do you wanna hear?  Tell me your thoughts in the comments!
