Weekly Obsession!

I'm SO glad that I have been keeping up with these posts.  Be prepared though because once the holidays happen most of my obsessions will probably be food related.  I'm very excited for my obsession this week.  My weekly obsession is......Beauty And The Beast!!!!!!!  This is honestly one of my favorite Disney films.  I watched it all the time as a kid.  When I heard they were going to make it into a live action version I just couldn't picture it.  Then when Emma Watson was cast as Belle I was SO upset!  She looks nothing like Belle!!!!  At that point I decided I wasn't going to see the film.  Then the trailer was released and I lost my mind!  It looks AMAZING!!!!  They really stayed true to the original film which made me very happy.  Emma Watson was really transformed and beast looked fantastic!  I'll leave the trailer below.  It comes out in March and I can't wait!!!!  Fun fact: My mom and I are actually going to see the play in May or June so will definitely let you guys know how it is.  What are you currently loving?  Let me know!

I Met Luke Bryan!!!!!!

I've been keeping a secret from you guys!!  Last week a friend of mine got us tickets to Luke Bryan.  We also got meet and greet passes which had me FREAKING out!!!!!  If you don't know who he is then you are missing out.  He is a country singer and a total hottie.  I've never done a meet and greet but it goes pretty quick.  He signed my shirt and my pass.  Then we took a picture together and that's it.  The concert was AMAZING!!!!  He can really move his hips and all the girls were dying!  My favorite songs were Play It Again, Strip It Down, I Don't Want This Night To End, and Home Alone Tonight.  He also covered Can't Feel My Face by The Weeknd.  I was really good!  What's your favorite Luke Bryan song?

The Kitchen!!!!!!  To be honest I'm just obsessed with the Food Network.  That's the bonus but I picked The Kitchen because I watch it pretty much daily.  If you've never heard about it, basically it's a talk show and cooking show all in one.  They give you tips and share simple recipes.  Also, the hosts are great!  It's great chemistry and they are SO funny together.  New episodes air Saturday mornings but you can usually catch it on in the afternoon during weekdays.  Go check it out because you'll love it!!!  What have you been loving?

My January Playlist!

We have survived the first month of 2016!!!!  I'm not gonna lie it was pretty tough.  I've been sick basically all month long.  Hopefully I'm moving on from that!  Since I was sick I discovered a lot of new music.  Don't worry, I did include a throwback as well.  Most of the songs are by females which is unusual for me but you guys know I love girl power.  If you missed last month's playlist then go check it out here.  What have you been listening to?

1. WTF by Missy Elliott feat. Pharrell
I'm SO glad Missy is back!  I've been a fan for forever.  This song is super catchy and I just can't get enough!  I have liked it for a while but I forgot about it until recently.  If you haven't heard her older music then go do it!  You won't regret it!!!  Favorite lyric: The dance that you doing is dumb How they do where you from Stickin' out your tongue girl But you know you're too young

2. Stand By You by Rachel Platten
I am obsessed with her!  I just love every single song she does.  It's just so uplifting and I love that because it makes her unique.  This song is just so beautiful and I play it at least once a day.  I really need to buy her album.  Favorite lyric: Even if we're breaking down, we can find a way to break through Even if we can't find heaven, I'll walk through Hell with you Love, you're not alone, 'cause I'm gonna stand by you Even if we can't find heaven, I'm gonna stand by you Even if we can't find heaven, I'll walk through Hell with you Love, you're not alone, 'cause I'm gonna stand by you

3. Out Of The Woods by Taylor Swift
I am SO glad that this is her newest single!!!  I've been obsessed with this song since the album came out.  It was my favorite that she performed on tour as well.  Also can we talk about the music video????  It's one of the best that she has ever done.  She is just the best person EVER!  I love everything she does.  Favorite lyric: Remember when you hit the brakes too soon? Twenty stitches in the hospital room When you started cryin', baby, I did, too But when the sun came up, I was lookin' at you Remember when we couldn't take the heat I walked out and said, "I'm settin' you free," But the monsters turned out to be just trees And when the sun came up, you were lookin' at me

4. Something In The Way You Move by Ellie Goulding
I've finally accepted that I'm an Ellie Goulding fan.  Every song she puts out I immediately love it.  Sometimes I don't even realize it's her.  This song makes me feel excited for Summer.  It's very upbeat and slightly techno which I love.  It's the perfect song to play in the morning especially for me.  I am not a morning person AT ALL!  Favorite lyric: But tonight I'm gonna lose it all Playing with fire, I was the first to fall Heart is sinking like a cannonball Baby kill it, what're you waiting for?
Something in the way you move Something in the way you do it

5. Irresistible by Fall Out Boy feat. Demi Lovato
This is the first newest song that I've liked by them.  I constantly have this song in my head!  It sounds like their older stuff which I've always loved.  I'm always singing this.  The video is great too.  I has NSYNC members plus the same concept as It's Gonna Be Me.  I'm amused by that.  It's very clever!  Favorite lyric: You're second hand smoke, second hand smoke I breathe you in, but, honey, I don't know what you're doing to me Mon chéri, but the truth catches up with us eventually Try to say live, live and let live But I'm no good, good at lip service Except when they're yours, mi amor I'm coming for you and I'm making war

6. Why Try by Ariana Grande
I was listening to my iPod and rediscovered this album.  I'm glad I did because I forgot how amazing it is.  I've had this song on repeat pretty much the entire month!  It's just such a good song!  I love her voice and I'm excited to see what her next album will be like.  Favorite lyric: You and I redefine being love sick, love sick, love sick Through it all you could still make my heart skip, heart skip Oh yeah Even when you're yelling at me I still think you're beautiful Through it all you could still make my heart skip, heart skip

7. Zero by Chris Brown
This was a 3 AM discovery when I couldn't sleep.  At first I wasn't a fan but it grew on me.  It has a 80's vibe which a lot of artists are doing right now.  I really like it but I've always loved retro stuff.  I've always been a fan of his so I'm glad he has new music out.  I haven't listened to his album yet but I've heard good things.  Favorite lyric: Ask how many nights I've been thinking of you, zero, zero Gave a hundred percent but all I got from you, zero, zero I thought you were the one, then you turned around Found somebody better, like I never met ya Ask how many nights I've been thinking of you, zero, zero

8. The Fix by Nelly feat. Jeremih
I've been a Nelly fan for years!  Fun fact he was my first concert when I was 13.  My friend told me about this song a few months ago but I forgot about it.  Recently I've been hearing it on the radio and I love it.  He hasn't had a song out in awhile so maybe he'll make an album soon.  I'm hoping for it!  Favorite lyric: When you need that fix, yeah, that medicine I know you like it like this When you get that itch, adrenaline Heart beatin' outta your chest

9. All I Ask by Adele
I finally caved you guys.  I bought the Adele album after I said I wouldn't.  It actually really good!  I couldn't find this song anywhere but it's my favorite.  It's such a beautiful song and she sounds amazing!  I'm so glad I got it!  Favorite lyric: Look, don't get me wrong I know there is no tomorrow
All I ask is If this is my last night with you Hold me like I'm more than just a friend Give me a memory I can use Take me by the hand while we do what lovers do It matters how this ends Cause what if I never love again?

10. Too Much by Spice Girls
I am a HUGE Spice Girls fan!  I heard Mel C aka Sporty do an acoustic version of this song and now I keep humming it.  This year is their 20th anniversary which makes me feel VERY old.  I'm really hoping for a tour though!  Hopefully with Backstreet Boys so all my childhood dreams come true.  Favorite lyric: Too Much of Something is bad enough, But something's coming over me to make me wonder Too Much of nothing is just as tough I need to know the way to feel to keep me satisfied.

DWTS Season 21: It's Trio Time!

It's week 10!  This means it is also the semifinals!  If you missed the recap from last week then check it out here.  A lot is happening tonight.  Tamar Braxton had to leave the competition due to medical problems.  This means that everyone left is in the finals.  The celebrities will be dancing three rounds tonight.  First it is just them with their partner.  Then it is the trio round when the celebrity dances with their partner plus another pro.  Finally there will be a dance off.  The show started with a group number.  It was beautiful!  Even though nobody is going home be sure you vote for your favorites!

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
She is doing this to challenge herself and continue her dads legacy.  This week she danced the Salsa.  I loved it!  I wish it was a little more challenging but it was still great.  It was just so uplifting.  I always feel happy after watching her.  I have a feeling she will win.  Her score was 27 of 30.  She chose Mark Ballas for her trio dance.  She danced Jazz.  It was AMAZING!!!!  I honestly couldn't look away!  It was just genius!  I have no words.  Her score was 30 of 30.  Her total for the night is 60.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
He has always wanted to join the military.  This week he danced the Waltz.  I actually really enjoyed this.  It was beautiful.  It was especially fitting since the Paris attacks recently.  His technique has improved greatly.  His footwork was SO much better.  He really stepped it up.  His score was 30 of 30.  He chose Emma Slater for his trio dance.  He danced the Argentine Tango.  I'm have mixed feelings.  The girls stole the show.  He just sort of stepped around.  The choreography was great though.  His score is 27 of 30.  His total for the night is 57.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
He is fighting harder now that his wife is gone.  He has had a lot of family drama growing up but nothing will stop him.  This week he danced Contemporary.  I had mixed emotions.  I wanted more actual dancing.  It was a lot of stopping and going.  I want them to have a better connection.  His score was 28 of 30.  He chose Karina Smirnoff for his trio dance.  He danced the Charleston.  I liked it.  It felt very cheesy and fake to me.  It was a lot of fun though.  I just wanted a story I guess.  His score was 29 of 30.  His total for the night is 60.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
All he wanted was attention from his parents.  He feels like he let so many people down and now he feels confident now.  This week he danced the Tango.  I loved it!  I got very emotional about it.  There was a slight mistake but I loved the message.  He is just amazing!  His score was 24 of 30.  He chose Peta Murgatroyd for his trio dance.  He danced the Salsa.  I LOVED IT!  It was perfection!  I wanted MORE!!  It was everything I wanted!  His score was 30 of 30.  His total for the night is 54.

Dance Off:
Bindi vs. Nick:  They danced the Samba.  I love them both!  They had so much content.  I would pick Nick.  The judges picked Bindi.  She gets 3 points added to her score.

Carlos vs. Alek:  They danced the Cha Cha.  They both did a great job.  I personally loved Carlos better.  The judges picked Carlos.  He gets 3 points added to his score.

DWTS Season 21: It's Showstoppers Night!

It's week 9!  If you missed anything from last week then check it out here.  There are only 6 left!  Tonight is showstopper night!  The couples will dance twice this week.  During the duet round they will be dancing with another couple with no pros for 30 seconds.  They will take inspiration from broadway numbers.  I'm interested to see how this works.  Tonight somebody will go home.  Make sure you vote so that your favorites so they don't go home.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
He is the underdog right now.  This week he danced the Salsa.  I thought he has done better.  There were a lot of mistakes.  He didn't do well with the hip action.  I wanted him to be sexier because Salsa is sexy.  He didn't have the musicality either.  I really think he'll be going soon.  He just isn't where he should be this far in the competition.  His score was 24 of 30.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND MARK BALLAS:
She needs to clear her mind and just dance.  She suffered from an eating disorder for years and now she's telling her story.  This week she danced Contemporary.  I loved this!  It was SO powerful!  The choreography was FANTASTIC!  I honestly got chills.  You could feel every single struggle.  I suffered from an eating disorder too so I felt a connection.  I'm glad that she shared because it needs more awareness.  Her score was 30 of 30.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
He was almost eliminated last week.  He is confident in his partner and himself.  This week he danced the Argentine Tango.  I liked it.  Sadly I didn't love it.  I wanted more passion and intensity.  It just didn't feel like an Argentine Tango.  He can do so much more than this.  At this point he needs to be great not good.  His score was 27 of 30.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
She is held to a higher standard than the other couples.  This week she danced the Viennese Waltz.  It was AMAZING!  She started off being blindfolded which is incredible.  It was SO beautiful and flawless.  I loved that it was a classic Viennese Waltz but still surprising and risky.  I just love her and everything that she does.  She is wonderful!  Her score was 30 of 30.

TAMAR BRAXTON AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
She finally has the connection with her partner.  This week she danced Contemporary.  She was in the hospital so we saw her dress rehearsal.  It's unfortunate because it wasn't her full potential.  I loved the concept but it was so hard to judge.  Her score was 22 of 30.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
He finally got a perfect score so he needs to stay on this path.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  It was SO good!!!  All season his frame hasn't been that great but tonight it looked great.  It couldn't look away!  It was so cool and fun.  I loved how modern it was.  It had a Great Gatsby vibe which I loved.  I love him so much!  #TeamSharnick!  His score was 28 of 30.

Showstopper Round:
Carlos and Alek:  They are dancing the Paso Doble.  There were parts that I really loved and parts I didn't.  The solo part could've had more.  The black light paint was very cool.  I wanted more of a Paso feel.  Their score was 24 of 30.  This is added to their earlier scores.

Bindi and Alexa:  They are dancing the Charleston.  I loved them together!  It was SO much fun!  It was modern but still classic.  I wish it never ended!  I adored the solo part!  It was sassy and just fun!  This was my favorite dance of the night.  Their score was 30 of 30.  This is added to their earlier scores.

Nick and Tamar:  They are dancing the Rumba.  Tamar was back!  I loved this dance!  It was so beautiful and I couldn't look away.  I can't believe she danced after being in the hospital.  I applaud her.  Their score was 27 of 30.  This is added to their earlier scores.

Results:
Bindi, Nick, Alek, Tamar, and Carlos are safe.  Alexa has been eliminated.

DWTS Season 21: Icon Week

It's week 8!  If you missed last week then you can check it out here.  This week is icon week.  The stars will be paying tribute to their favorite icon.  Also the dance off is back!  The celebrity with the highest score has immunity and can't be eliminated this week.  The remaining celebrities will compete in the dance off.  Two couples will go head to head and whoever wins gets extra points.  The show started with a huge group number.  It was AMAZING!!!!!  Tonight somebody will be eliminated.  Make sure you are voting for your favorites so they don't go home.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
He picked Marc Anthony as his icon because he helped him understand his Latin roots.  This week he danced the Salsa.  I thought it was pretty good.  It started off not so well but it got better.  I thought he has had better dances.  For me he had too many tricks and I wanted more dancing.  I just wanted it to feel more like a salsa.  I did enjoy it though.  His score was 27 of 30.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
He picked Chris Kyle as his icon because he doesn't think of himself as a hero either.  This week he danced Contemporary.  I really liked this!  It was so beautiful and touching.  I wanted more dancing though.  It was very simple and they focused more on lifts.  He needs to push himself if he wants to make it far.  I'm not sure he'll last much longer honestly.  His score was 25 of 30.

ANDY GRAMMER AND ALLISON HOLKER:
He picked Stevie Wonder as his icon because he listened to him growing up and it made him feel happy.  This week he danced the Viennese Waltz.  This made me cry.  It just had so much emotion and it was beautiful.  The story was so touching.  It wasn't his best dance but it still touched me.  He does need to work a little on his technique but overall I enjoyed it.  His score was 22 of 30.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND MARK BALLAS:
She picked David & Goliath as her icon because her faith inspires her to conquer these dances.  This week she danced the Argentine Tango.  I thought it was OK.  The story line didn't fit this dance at all.  Argentine Tango is about a love/hate relationship and this story isn't.  I wanted more passion and intensity.  There were some mistakes but she did recover well.  She has done better but I'm not a huge fan of hers.  Her score was 25 of 30.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
He picked his wife as his icon because she is always there for him.  This week he danced Contemporary.  I loved it!  It was basically their entire love story in one dance.  It was so beautiful and breathtaking.  It was honestly flawless!  I felt very emotional.  It was his best dance yet!  Also he's having a boy!!!!!  I just love him and I'm very happy for them both.  His was 30 of 30.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
She picked Grace Kelly as her icon because she always stayed true to herself no matter what.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  I loved this dance!  It was SO much fun!  She is a hollywood sweetheart so it was fitting for her.  The choreography was fantastic and I wanted more!  It was modern but still classy.  I do wish it had a little bit more Foxtrot but I still loved it.  I just love her!  Her score was 28 of 30.

TAMAR BRAXTON AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
She picked her sister Toni Braxton as her icon because she helps know can she can accomplish anything.  This week she danced the Paso Doble.  I really liked this!  It was a HUGE improvement from last week.  I thought the choreography was classic and strong.  She looked fabulous!  She needs to work on her arms but I love her confidence.  She has nothing to worry about.  Her score was 28 of 30.

The Dance Off:
Nick got immunity so he can't be eliminated and isn't in the dance off.

Bindi is going against Carlos.  They are dancing the Jive.  Both of them were amazing!  I personally thought Bindi was better.  The judges picked Carlos as the winner.  They get 2 extra points added to their scores.

Tamar is going against Alexa.  They are dancing the Cha Cha.  I liked this pairing a lot!  They killed it!  I liked Alexa better.  The judges picked Tamar as the winner.  They get 2 extra points added to their scores.

Andy is going against Alek.  They are dancing the Samba.  Neither have danced this style yet.  It was a bit of a mess.  I would probably go with Andy.  The judges picked Andy as the winner.  They get 2 extra points added to their scores.

Results:
Nick, Bindi, Tamar, Alek, Alexa, and Carlos are safe.  Andy has been eliminated.

My October Playlist!

Happy Halloween everybody!  I'm getting ready to take my nieces out trick or treating.  They are SO cute!  This year they are Batgirl and of course Elsa.  Secretly I wish I was dressing up as Elsa too.  Before all my Halloween excitement begins I wanted to share what songs I've been obsessed with this month.  I seem to have been loving a lot of female artists which is rare for me.  Girl power!  I'm still loving last month's playlist which you can check out here.  What songs have you been loving?

1. I'm In Love With A Monster by Fifth Harmony
This is a fitting first song.  I love Fifth Harmony so of course I love this song.  It's VERY catchy and a fun song.  It's for the movie Hotel Transylvania 2.  I've never seen the first one but maybe I'll take my nieces to see it sometime.  I'm so proud that they made it on a movie soundtrack.  I LOVE the video as well.  They look amazing!  Favorite lyric: Friends say I'm stupid and I'm out of my mind But without you, boy, I'd be bored all the time No, I don't really care for the same conversation Got everything I need, and I'd rather be chasing Chasing love, with a monster

2. Love Me Like You by Little Mix
They are on a roll with their new music!  I have loved every song that they have released.  I'm honestly so excited about the album.  I will be buying it for sure!  The sound is very 50's which you guys know I love.  They have really changed their sound and I think it's for the best.  The video is adorable and it makes me miss prom.  Favorite lyric: Last night I lay in bed so blue Cause I realized the truth, they can't love me like you I tried to find somebody new Baby they ain't got a clue, can't love me like you

3. Same Old Love by Selena Gomez
I have been obsessed with her lately!  I really like her mature sound.  She did it in a really classy and elegantly.  I really appreciate that because most younger artists don't do that anymore.  I'm sure she followed Taylor Swift's advice.  I actually haven't listened to her album yet but I plan on it.  I've heard it's fantastic.  I turn this song up every time it's on.  I'm loving it!  Favorite lyric: Take away your things and go You can't take back what you said, I know I've heard it all before, at least a million times I'm not one to forget, you know I don't believe, I don't believe it You left in peace, left me in pieces Too hard to breathe, I'm on my knees Right now

4. On My Mind by Ellie Goulding
This song has been my obsession!  I play it at least 10 times a day and never get tired of it.  I also constantly have it stuck in my head.  I really like how different it sounds compared to her other music.  I think it's amazing!  Supposedly this song is about Ed Sheeran but nothing has been confirmed.  I just love her and I'm a fan of anything she does.  I will totally be checking out her album.  Favorite lyric: Wait, I could have really liked you I'll bet, I'll bet that's why I keep on thinking 'bout you It's a shame (shame), you said I was good So I poured it down, so I poured it down And now I don't understand it You don't mess with love, you mess with the truth And I know I shouldn't say it But my heart don't understand Why I got you on my mind

5. Cake By The Ocean by DNCE
When did Joe Jonas create a band?  I had no idea he was singing until I saw them on TV.  Ir sounds nothing like him but I do love the song.  I do wish it was out during the summer instead because it has that vibe.  It's a very catchy song.  I haven't heard any other music by them so I can't tell if I'm a total fan yet.  I'm just still shocked that he has a band.  He should've went solo like Nick.  Favorite lyric: Waste time with a masterpiece, don't waste time with a masterpiece (Huh!) You should be rolling with me, you should be rolling with me (Aaahhhh) You're a real life fantasy, you're a real life fantasy (Huh!) But you're moving so carefully; let's start living dangerously

6. Stitches by Shawn Mendes
I've actually loved this song for awhile now.  It finally made my playlist!  First I forgot who sang it and then it kept getting bumped off by other songs.  This month I've been playing it a TON.  My friend and I just can't get enough for some reason.  It's even made it onto my morning playlist.  This is another song that is stuck in my head.  I'm always singing it!  Favorite lyric: You watch me bleed until I can't breathe Shaking, falling onto my knees And now that I'm without your kisses I'll be needing stitches Tripping over myself Aching, begging you to come help And now that I'm without your kisses I'll be needing stitches

7. Fifteen by Taylor Swift
Earlier this month I went to the Taylor Swift concert.  If you want to know all about it go here.  She sang this song and it just brought back so many memories.  I get chills every time I hear it.  It's just such a great song!  I've been playing her old albums over and over since the concert.  She is amazing and my idol.  I will be a fan forever!  Favorite lyric: 'Cause when you're fifteen and somebody tells you they love you You're gonna believe them And when you're fifteen, don't forget to look before you fall I've found that time can heal most anything And you just might find who you're supposed to be I didn't know who I was supposed to be at fifteen

8. One Call Away by Charlie Puth
I may or may not have a Charlie Puth obsession.  I just love his voice SO MUCH!  I've loved every song that I've heard.  I can't even choose a favorite!  I even preordered his album because I'm so obsessed.  I discovered this song when I was trying to fall asleep.  It's such a cute song!  I just love him!  Favorite lyric: No matter where you go You know you're not alone I'm only one call away I'll be there to save the day Superman got nothing on me I'm only one call away

9. Friend Zone by Danielle Bradbery
I'm SO glad that she has new music out!  I've been a fan since she was on The Voice.  It should've been released in the summer because it also has that vibe.  It's just really fun and upbeat.  I'm glad that she hasn't changed since becoming famous.  I do wish she would make songs like the older country music.  It would suit her voice perfectly.  Favorite lyric: You think you're doing just fine Ooh, she got you on the sideline You think you're flying towards the endzone You're just headed towards the friend zone Let me break it down to the facts You will never get a girl like that You gotta step up to the plate with a bat That's all I gotta say about that

10. Perfect by One Direction
Are you guys even surprised?  Obviously this song was going to make the playlist!  I've literally had it on repeat since it came out.  The video was a total surprise and I'm OBSESSED!  It might be my favorite video that they've done.  I love the black and white.  Plus they just look adorable.  I just love them!  I'm SUPER pumped for the album in 13 days!!!!!!!!  Be looking for an album review.  Favorite lyric: But if you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms And if you like having secret little rendezvous If you like to do the things you know that we shouldn’t do Baby, I'm perfect Baby, I'm perfect for you And if you like midnight driving with the windows down And if you like going places we can’t even pronounce If you like to do whatever you've been dreaming about Baby, you're perfect
Baby, you're perfect So let's start right now

DWTS Season 21: It's Halloween Time!

It's week 7!  If you missed my recap from last week click here.  Tonight's theme is Halloween!  I'm very excited about it.  Also team dances are back!  This is always one of my favorite parts.  Derek has never lost a team dance so we'll see if his streak continues.  The show started with a big Monster Mash group number.  It was SO good!  Tonight somebody will be going home.  Make sure you vote for your favorites so they don't go home.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
He hasn't gotten a perfect score yet.  He wants to work hard and earn it,  This week he danced the Argentine Tango.  I LOVED this dance!  I thought he looked great.  I did wish it was a little bit sharper.  He stayed in character the whole time.  The lifts were fantastic and amazing!  I just love every single thing he does.  You guys know he is my favorite.  His score is 24 of 30.

HAYES GRIER AND EMMA SLATER:
He really needs to listen to the judges.  He needs to focus and work hard.  This week he danced the Waltz.  I thought he did A LOT better than last week.  I was blown away by this dance.  It was very classic and beautiful.  He needs to stay on this path because it's working for him.  I think this might be his best dance yet.  His score is 26 of 30.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND MARK BALLAS:
She almost went home last week so she is pushing herself harder.  This week she danced the Paso Doble.  I thought she did a fantastic job.  She really stepped it up this week.  They kept it classic which I really enjoyed.  It was a perfect balance of passion.  Now that she trusts her partner it really shows.  She will only get better and better.  Her score is 27 of 30.

TAMAR BRAXTON AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
Last week was her comeback and now she is confident.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  I thought she did a great job.  It wasn't my favorite dance by her.  She seemed a little bit off.  There were mistakes and the connection wasn't there.  She definitely has the potential and confidence to go the end.  They should really focus on their connection though.  Her score is 24 of 30.

ANDY GRAMMER AND ALLISON HOLKER:
After last week he is seen as a real competitor.  This week he danced the Paso Doble.  I thought it was great.  It had passion and aggression which is what this dance is all about.  I liked the creep vampire story as well.  It wasn't perfect but I think he is still a competitor.  I don't think he'll win but he'll go far.  His score is 26 of 30.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
She worked hard to be scary this week.  She's just always so happy!  This week she danced the Argentine Tango.  OMG she killed it!  It was full of passion and very intense!  It was also super sexy but not too much.  I wanted more!  I just couldn't look away!  She really got into character and I loved it.  I love her!  Her score is 30 of 30.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
He was very upset about his scores last week.  He needs a reality check.  This week he danced the Viennese Waltz.  It was pretty good.  I still don't really love him.  He seems to be just going through the motions.  I want him to be fierce and intense.  He never stands out for me.  I'm not sure how mush longer he will last.  I'm not a fan.  His score is 25 of 30.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
He felt like he didn't deserve his scores last week.  This week he danced the Paso Doble.  I thought he did a great job.  I LOVED the cape work he was doing.  He did make a few mistakes but he keeps getting better.  He needs to focus on himself and not what his wife is doing.  He has a lot more potential than he is showing.  His score is 28 of 30.

Team Dances:
First up is Team Nightmare.  On their team is Nick, Tamar, Hayes, and Andy.  They are dancing freestyle.  I really wanted to love it but it was just OK.  I loved the concept and the choreography.  The judges thought it was amazing but I wanted more.  They looked great though.  Their score is 30 of 30.  This will be added to their scores from earlier.

Now it's Team Who You Gonna Call? turn.  On their team is Bindi, Carlos, Alexa, and Alek.  They are dancing freestyle.  This what I wanted!  It hard tricks and it was just fun!  I could watch this all day!  I loved this SO much better!  Their score is 28 of 30.  This will be added to their scores from earlier.

Results:
Bindi, Nick, Alek, Andy, Carlos, Alexa, and Tamar are safe.  Hayes has been eliminated.

DWTS Season 21: Famous Dances Night

It's week 6!  If you missed the last recap you can check it out here.  This weeks theme is famous dances.  The couples will be doing an iconic dance from a movie or music video.  I'm pretty excited for this.  There is also a guest judge this week.  It's Olivia Newton-John!  Tonight Erin Andrews is covering the World Series so Leah Remini is standing in.  The show kicked off with a big opening number.  I LOVED IT!  Tonight somebody will be going home tonight.  Make sure to vote for your favorites so they don't go home!

HAYES GRIER AND EMMA SLATER:
He got the movie Grease.  His song is You're The One The That I Want.  This week he danced Jazz.  I thought it was good.  I really wanted to love it but it's so hard to judge this movie.  It's one of my all time favorites so he wasn't on that level.  He did try hard but for me I wanted more.  The choreography was amazing though.  His score is 32 of 40.

ANDY GRAMMER AND ALLISON HOLKER:
He got the movie Singin' In The Rain.  His song is Good Morning.  This week he danced Jazz.  I LOVED this dance!  I've never actually seem the entire movie but I feel like I have now.  It really captured every memorable moment from the film.  The choreography was classic but modern.  I could watch that over and over!  This was his breakout moment.  I've been waiting for it.  His score is 40 of 40.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND MARK BALLAS:
She got a Britney Spears music video.  Her song is I'm A Slave 4 U.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  I'm a HUGE Britney fan and this was a big moment in her career.  I wanted more of the Britney essence.  It was still a great performance.  I just really wanted her to own it.  The snake part was on point though.  Her score is 30 of 40.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
She got the movie Dirty Dancing.  Her song is Time Of Your Life.  This week she danced the Rumba.  OMG I WANT MORE!!!!!!!  It wasn't an actual Rumba but nobody cares!  I loved every single second!  This is my favorite movie EVER and it captured every part!  I felt like I was watching the actual film.  It even had the emotion and passion.  I'm speechless.  Her score is 40 of 40.

PAULA DEEN AND LOUIS VAN AMSTEL:
She got a Madonna music video.  Her song is Vogue.  This week she danced Jazz.  I was VERY impressed.  She's no Madonna but she still did great.  It was just fun.  I did enjoy last week more but she always entertains me.  I'm not sure she will last much longer but I enjoy her.  Her score is 24 of 40.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
He got the movie Magic Mike.  His song is Pony.  This week he danced the Rumba.  First I wanna say is Magic Mike iconic?  This dance was HOT!  He looked GOOD!  I really loved it!  I liked that it was sexy but not raunchy.  I thought he did it justice.  He still isn't my favorite but he stayed true to himself.  I like his commitment.  His score is 38 of 40.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
He got the movie Saturday Night Fever.  His song is You Should Be Dancing.  This week he danced the Samba.  This was everything I wanted!  It was just amazing!  I was transported back to disco and I wanted more!  I loved that she put actual Samba in the dance as well.  I just love everything he does.  He's perfect!  His score is 39 of 40.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
He got the movie Jailhouse Rock.  His song is Jailhouse Rock.  This week he danced the Jive.  I thought it was good.  I loved the Jive content but he messed up a few times.  I didn't get an Elvis vibe.  He just isn't where he should be at this point in the competition.  He did improve his facial expressions but he needs more than that.  He just needs to step it up.  His score is 30 of 40.

TAMAR BRAXTON AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
She got a Janet Jackson music video.  Her song is Rhythm Nation.  This week she danced Jazz.  She KILLED it!  I couldn't even believe how perfect she was!  It was fast and extremely detailed.  She missed a few days due to illness but you couldn't tell.  She looked like a professional!  She is fantastic!  Her score is 40 of 40.

Results:
Carlos, Tamar, Nick, Alek, Bindi, Andy, Hayes, and Alexa are safe.  Paula has been eliminated.

DWTS Season 21: Let's Switch It Up!

It's week 5 already!!!!  If you missed last week's episode then check out the recap here.  Tonight's theme is another favorite.  It's switch up week!  The celebrities will be dancing with different professionals than normal.  It's always a touchy week but it gets exciting.  I'm very interested in the pairings this year.  There is a guest judge this week.  It's Maks!!!!!!  I'm excited about this!  The show started with a big group number.  I loved it!!!  Tonight nobody will be going home.  Make sure you keep voting for your favorites so they don't get sent home early!

TAMAR BRAXTON AND LOUIS VAN AMSTEL:
She is worried about the choreography.  This week she danced the Samba.  I thought she did great!  The connection was not as good but that is expected.  I wanted more Samba steps.  It was just slightly mess up.  She did best on her own so she needs to work on partner work.  She has had way better dances but I enjoyed it.  Her score is 29 of 40.

HAYES GRIER AND ALLISON HOLKER:
She wants to show a more mature side of him.  This week he danced the Viennese Waltz.  I thought it was really cute.  I wouldn't say it was mature but I thought he looked adorable.  I wished it was more traditional.  It was a little too jumpy.  He still needs to have a big break out moment.  I did think this pairing was a good one.  His score is 30 of 40.

PAULA DEEN AND MARK BALLAS:
He is going to show her wild side.  This week she danced the Jive.  I did not expect this couple to work but I loved it!  It was honestly her best dance.  She remembered her steps and just had fun.  I did think she played it a little safe.  I wanted more energy.  I really loved this performance though.  Her score is 26 of 30.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND EMMA SLATER:
He decided that he needs to step it up.  This week he danced the Rumba.  I really liked it!  It was romantic.  The chemistry was amazing!  They were so cute together!  He really needs to work on his facial expressions.  I liked that it wasn't too sexual.  It had a nice innocence to it.  He really needs to relax and show more emotion.  He could go far.  His score is 29 of 40.

BINDI IRWIN AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
She wants to stay on her new level.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  I just LOVE her!  She always makes me feel so happy!  I never want it to end!  I could watch her all day long!  This was a great partnership.  The only thing she needs to work on is her shoulders.  I love her confidence and it is so infectious.  Her score is 37 of 40.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
He almost went home last week.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  I thought this was a really fun dance.  I didn't love it because it wasn't a true quickstep.  It had so many other dance elements and I wanted it more traditional.  I felt it would fit better as a freestyle.  The judges loved it though.  I was very entertaining though.  His score is 39 of 40.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND DEREK HOUGH:
She made a mistake last week.  This week she danced the Tango.  I loved this dance!  It was just so raw and I loved it.  She really needs to let go and just be her true self.  She needs to totally stay on this path.  This was her moment and she killed IT!  I love this partnership A LOT!  Her score is 40 of 40.  This is the first perfect score of the season.

ANDY GRAMMER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
She wants to show a sexier side to him.  This week he danced the Argentine Tango.  I thought he did a great job!  His performance was on another level.  It was more focused and slightly sexy.  It wasn't perfect but it was an improvement.  I'm still not a huge fan of his.  He just doesn't stand out to me.  I don't think he'll last much longer.  His score is 36 of 40.

NICK CARTER AND WITNEY CARSON:
He is trying to take control.  This week he danced the Paso Doble.  OMG I just love him!  He just gets better and better.  I thought this was an amazing dance.  He needed to work on the hips but he commits every week.  It had passion and a ton of energy.  I love him SO much!  His score is 35 of 40.

My 1989 Tour Experience!

I am a HUGE fan of Taylor Swift!  I've been a loyal fan since the very beginning.  So when I saw that she was coming to Omaha I obviously had to get tickets.  I've never missed a tour of hers EVER!  I wish I was going back tonight!  I was VERY excited for this tour because 1989 is my favorite album yet.  Also, I was born in 1989 too, so Taylor and I are basically besties right?

Her show opener was Vance Joy.  I'm not gonna lie I found it very boring.  He sang maybe 5 songs and each one was about 10 minutes long.  It did not get me pumped up for Taylor.  I actually wanted a nap instead.  So I left to wait in line for a t-shirt instead.

It was finally time for the show!!!!!  Attached to each chair was a synchronized light up bracelet.  It was programmed to light up with her music.  I loved the idea but I'm sad it doesn't work now.  If you've never been to a Taylor Swift show before then you are missing out!  It is unlike anything you'll ever experience.  You just get lost in another world.  This was no different!

It started off in a New York theme based on her song Welcome To New York.  The dancers were phenomenal!  My favorite number was How You Get The Girl because the umbrella routine was SO cool.  I did like her version of Love Story and I Knew You Were Trouble.  I didn't really love We Are Never Getting Back Together.  It was too rock for me.  I did like that she sang Fifteen because That is one of my favorites.  There was no celebrity guest though.  I had a blast at the show and I wish I was back already!  Have you been to the 1989 tour?  Let me know your favorite parts!
