If you read my last book haul then you'll know I hinted at an announcement.  I can finally tell you!!!!!  A bunch of bloggers including myself created a book club called Novel Babes.  We voted and our first book is Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear.  We want you guys to become a member too!  If you want to be a member then be sure to join the Goodreads Group.  We start reading January 1st so you have time to decide.  Maybe you can ask for this book for Christmas?  We will have two twitter chats on the 15th and 31st.  The first chat will be about the first half of the book so don't stress about finishing the book right away.  I'm SUPER excited about this because I love to read!  Let me know if you are going to join!!!

My May Playlist!

I can't believe I'm writing my May playlist right now!  This month went by SO fast!!!!!  On the plus side summer has officially arrived.  I'm totally ready!  I discovered a bunch of new music this month.  I literally listen to these songs daily.  If you missed April's playlist then you might not know I changed the format.  I'm only going to be putting my favorite lyric instead of a whole paragraph.  I personally love lyrics because you can relate more.  That is why I changed it.  Hopefully you guys love it as well.  What are you listening to?

1. Lost Boy by Ruth B
Favorite lyric: I am a lost boy from Neverland Usually hanging out with Peter Pan And when we're bored we play in the woods Always on the run from Captain Hook "Run, run, lost boy," they say to me, "Away from all of reality." Neverland is home to lost boys like me And lost boys like me are free

2. Pity Party by Melanie Martinez
Favorite lyric: Maybe it's a cruel joke on me Whatever, whatever Just means there's way more cake for me Forever, forever It's my party and I'll cry if I want to Cry if I want to (cry, cry, cry) I'll cry until the candles burn down this place I'll cry until my pity party's in flames

3. You Don't Own Me by Grace feat. G-Eazy
Favorite lyric: Don't tell me what to do And don't tell me what to say Please, when I go out with you
Don't put me on display You don't own me Don't try to change me in any way You don't own me
Don't tie me down cause I'd never stay

4. Army by Ellie Goulding
Favorite lyric: We both know what they say about us But they don't stand a chance because When I'm with you When I'm with you I'm standing with an army I'm standing with an army When I'm with you When I'm with you I'm standing with an army Standing with an army

5. Already Ready by Dan + Shay
Favorite lyric: Finally walk inI'm already thinking 'bout leavin' Gotta get you back in my shirt Get you out that dress Get you out them shoes that you like so much Everybody at the party is checking your body out I don't even mind it cause you're coming with me, girl And I know it's only 7:32 but looking at you I'm already ready to go I'm already ready, are you ready? Cause I'm ready to go

6. Can't Stop The Feeling by Justin Timberlake
Favorite lyric: I got that sunshine in my pocket Got that good soul in my feet I feel that hot blood in my body when it drops, ooh I can't take my eyes up off it, moving so phenomenally Room on lock the way we rock it, so don't stop And under the lights when everything goes Nowhere to hide when I'm getting you close When we move, well, you already know So just imagine, just imagine, just imagine Nothing I can see but you when you dance, dance, dance Feeling good, good, creeping up on you So just dance, dance, dance, come on All those things I should do to you But you dance, dance, dance And ain't nobody leaving soon, so keep dancing

7. Home Alone Tonight by Luke Bryan feat Karen Fairchild
Favorite lyric: And we'll go shot for shot for shot 'til we forgot what we came here to forget Ain't a clock, a tick, a tock that's gonna stop a night we won't regret So put your drink down, throw your camera up, flip it around and snap a payback picture I'll send it to my ex, I'll send it to my ex and send 'em both a text Saying we ain't going home alone tonight Girl, you ain't gotta, I ain't gotta go home alone tonight

8. Close by Nick Jonas feat. Tove Lo
Favorite lyric: Cause if I want you, and I want you, babe Ain't going backwards, won't ask for space
Cause space was just a word made up by someone who's afraid to get too Close, ooh Oh, so close, ooh I want you close, ooh Cause space was just a word made up by someone who's afraid to get close, ooh Oh, so close, ooh I want you close, ooh Oh, I want you close, and close ain't close enough, no

9. Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande
Favorite lyric: All that you got, skin to skin, oh my God Don't ya stop, boy Somethin' 'bout you makes me feel like a dangerous woman Somethin' 'bout, somethin' 'bout, somethin' 'bout you
Makes me wanna do things that I shouldn't Somethin' 'bout, somethin' 'bout, somethin' 'bout

10. Toothbrush by DNCE
Favorite lyric: When you're standing there in your underwear And my t-shirt from the night before
With your messed up hair And your feet still bare Would you mind closing the bedroom door? Maybe you don't have to rush You could leave a toothbrush At my place At my place We don't need to keep it hush You could leave a toothbrush At my place At my place I just, I just can't let you go You give me something I've never known So maybe you don't have to rush You could leave a toothbrush At my place At my place

Ulta Haul!!!!

OMG you guys I feel like I've been missing out!  I never understood how amazing Ulta was until now.  I went in for one thing and came out with a full bag!  The deals were just too good!  I thought I would share what I bought in case you want to try these products too.  What's your favorite thing at Ulta?

I went to Ulta for a blow dryer because mine is pretty much dead.  My cousin is a hair stylist so I asked her what the best brand was.  So I got the Hot Tools Tourmaline Ionic Professional.  This is what most salons use.  I love it!  It has 6 heat settings, it's lightweight, and it's quiet.  It's definitely an investment but worth it!

I bought a pack of Alligator Clips.  I use these when I style my hair mostly.  I did think these were expensive.  I paid $6 for only 3.  They do work though and no creases are left behind.

My hair is always full of tangles no matter what I do.  I bought this Wet Brush just to see if it works.  I really like it!  I noticed a difference right away.  It works on dry hair too.  Try it out if you have tangled hair too.

I am addicted to the brand Not Your Mother's so when I saw it was buy one get one 50% off I couldn't resist.  I bought the dry shampoo which is my favorite.  It makes your hair look clean and feel super soft.  It's the best!

I also got the volumizing hairspray because mine is almost empty.  I haven't tried this yet but my friend told me it's amazing.  Let me know if you want a review.

Next I bought the texturizing sea salt spray.  I love products like this because it takes 5 minutes to have cute hair.  You can spray this on wet or dry hair and then style it.  I'm excited to try it!

Lastly I got the thermal spray.  You can never have enough heat protector.  I'll be using this soon so I'll let you know.

I've wanted to try The Body Shop for awhile now.  I love that they are cruelty free.  They also had buy one get one 50% off so I took advantage.  I got 4 body butters.  The scents are Honeymania, Pink Grapefruit, Mango, and Coconut.  They smell amazing!!  I bought these for my spa nights which is every Sunday.

Life Update: Where Have I Been?????

Did you guys miss me?  It's been FOREVER since I put a blog post up but I'm back now!  2016 has not been so great for me far.  I kept getting sick and I just passed it off as a cold.  Then I got strep and so I got treated and thought I'd be all better.  Maybe a week later I started throwing up and thought I had the flu.  My mom thought I should go to the ER and thankfully I did.

I had Acute Pancreatitis.  I spent a whole week in the hospital getting fluids and healing.  I feel SO much better now as long as I watch what I eat.  I took time off blogging to rest and get my life back together.  I'm sorry I was gone so long but I had to take care of myself first.  I'm back though so if you have any requests just let me know!

Life Update: Broken Back???

You guys are probably wondering why I haven't posted very much.  It's been a while since I've done a life update so here it is!

Back in November I hurt back.  I'm not entirely sure how but I've been dying from pain.  I kept thinking it would get better but I was wrong.  Finally on Thursday my mom made me go see a back and spine doctor.  Basically, I pulled a muscle and it won't relax.  I'll be doing some therapy so hopefully my back will be better soon!

I've also been SUPER busy with school.  Even though I only have 3 classes they require a lot of work.  The semester ends in about 3 weeks and I can't wait!  I'm SO over my classes and honestly just school in general.

I will hopefully be posting more regularly.  I can't guarantee anything because I need to focus on healing my back.  I will definitely do more updates for you guys though!

DWTS Season 21: It's TV Week!!!!!!!

It's week 3!!  I'm super excited because it's TV week!  Each couple will be dancing to their favorite TV theme song.  Who doesn't love a theme song?  There is also a guest judge tonight.  It's Alfonso Riberio!!!!!  It will be interesting to see his point of view since he won season 19.  The show kicked off with a female pro dance number.  It was SO good!  Tonight another celebrity will be eliminated.  Make sure you keep voting for your favorites!  Come back next Monday for more!

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
His TV show is The Golden Girls.  This week he danced Jazz.  I thought this dance was cute.  I love him but I want more from him.  He really needs to push himself and really improve.  He needs to work on opening up.  He dances so small and I know he can do better.  He hasn't been my favorite since week 1.  His score is 31 of 40.

PAULA DEEN AND LOUIS VAN AMSTEL:
Her TV show is Gilligan's Island.  This week she danced the Samba.  I thought this dance was a lot of fun.  It started off really great but then it sorta went downhill.  She missed a few steps which messed her up.  She needs to really commit to the choreography.  It will really help her confidence.  She can totally do it.  Her score is 20 of 40.

TAMAR BRAXTON AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
Her TV show Mad Men.  This week she danced the Tango.  She is amazing!  It had just the right amount of passion.  They have definitely worked on their chemistry.  I could literally watch her all day long.  I really think she can win the show!  She just needs to trust him more.  Her score is 33 of 40.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND MARK BALLAS:
Her TV show is Breaking Bad.  This week she danced Jazz.  The dance was crazy!!!  I couldn't tell who was the pro and who was the celebrity.  It was mind blowing!  She needs to realize that Mark is her partner and Carlos is her husband.  Once she realizes that then she could go very far.  They needs to keep that connection.  Her score is 36 of 40.

ANDY GRAMMER AND ALLISON HOLKER:
His TV show is American Bandstand.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  I didn't love it.  His posture was off and his feet were messy.  It also felt like a Jive and not a quickstep.  He needs to rely on his partner more.  If he stopped thinking so hard then he could do much better.  His score is 29 of 30.

GARY BUSEY AND ANNA TREBUNSKAYA:
His TV show is The Addams Family.  This week he danced the Tango.  It wasn't terrible.  He tried so hard and I thought he did a great job.  He ACTUALLY did the dance!  I'm proud of him especially almost being eliminated.  He always brings it all every week.  He is most improved for sure.  His score is 25 of 30.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
His TV show is True Blood.  This week he danced the Tango.  I'm not sure how I feel about him.  He has good technique but I want more emotion.  The judges think he was sexy but I didn't.  I wanted a lot more passion.  He needs to work harder to win me over.  His score is 33 of 40.

KIM ZOLCIAK BIERMANN AND TONY DOVOLANI:
Her TV show is I Dream Of Jeannie.  This week she danced the Samba.  Unfortunately, she suffered from a mini stroke and couldn't compete.  This means she must withdrawal.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
Her TV show was The Jeffersons.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  I always adore her.  She just makes me smile every single time.  She only had 2 days to learn that dance and I thought she did great.  She needs to work on her frame but that's it really;  I couldn't even tell that her foot was injured.  Her score was 32 of 40.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
His TV show is Downtown Abbey.  This week he danced  the Viennese Waltz.  It was so beautiful!  I actually got chills!  It was the best dance of the night!  I love everything he does.  He needs to stay relaxed in order to stay on this path.  I just love him so I'm biased.  He could win if he keeps doing this.  His score is 36 of 40.

HAYES GRIER AND EMMA SLATER:
His TV shows is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  This week he danced the Jive.  Well it was entertaining.  I didn't like it though.  It just didn't look like a Jive.  He lost energy as the dance went on.  Also his kicks need work.  I just didn't feel connected to him this time.  He did work hard though.  His score is 30 of 40.

Results:
Everybody is safe because Kim had to withdrawal.

Weekly Obsession!

I never really like talk shows.  They just seem boring and aimed for older people.  I've made a discovery and I can't get enough!  My weekly obsession is.........The Real!!!!  This talk show is perfect for girls like me in their 20's.  They discuss important topics but make it interesting.  They are more my age range so I think that is what drew me in.  There are games and guests which I love.  I get emotional every episode.  They just keep it real!  That is where the name comes from.  I've added this show to my morning routine.  It's on every weekday at 11 AM.  I HIGHLY suggest you check it out!  What talk shows do you watch?

Weekly Obsession!

I am constantly looking for new things to be interested in.  This week has been an old obsession that I've revisited.  My weekly obsession is...podcasts!  I have been loving podcasts lately!  I find them to be interesting and relaxing.  I like to put them on while I'm getting ready for the day or while I'm writing blog posts.  I really like TED Talks because it's about 15-20 minutes long.  Plus the topics are SO fascinating.  It's educational but it doesn't drag on so you won't get bored.  I usually just go on iTunes and find something that I think I'll like.  There is LITERALLY a podcast for every topic you can think of.  The best part is that they are free.  What are some of your favorite podcasts?

Weekly Obsession!

I'm going to be going back to school next month.  That means it's time to buy new clothes!  Last year my all time favorite store closed.  I was SUPER upset!  It is now back!!!!!  My weekly obsession is...Delia's!  I can't even explain how excited I am that this store is back.  I absolutely love all of their clothing.  I'd say about 80% of my wardrobe is from them.  It is only an online store now but I'm fine with that.  The sizing chart they use is very accurate.  I've never had a problem with my size.  I love the deals as well.  I just put everything in my cart and wait until I feel the price is acceptable.  Last year I put a pair of shorts that were about $32 and I waited and got them for $7!  I'm all about the deals!  The quality is also really good.  My favorite items are the graphic tee's.  I highly recommend that you go check them out!  Be looking out for a haul soon!!!!!  What is your favorite store?

Let's Talk: Periods

This is a series I've wanted to do for awhile now.  There are some topics that people avoid talking about.  They exist so why avoid it?  Today I'm going to talk about periods.  All women have them and I'm not ashamed to talk about it.  There is a reason I chose periods as the first post.

Everyday when I sign on Facebook I always look at the trending topics.  Over the weekend I saw this article.  It's about a woman who ran the London Marathon on her period.  What made this trending?  She ran the entire time without a tampon because she wanted to raise awareness for women who don't have access to tampons or pads.  I have many thoughts on this.

First off, I applaud her for even running the marathon while on her period.  When I have my period, all I want is chocolate, Netflix, and sleep.  Yes, I am that stereotypical person and I'm prod of it!  I like her intentions a lot but I feel like there are better ways to raise awareness.  Social media is the perfect place for this type of cause.  It can reach millions with just one post.  Look at the ice bucket challenge and how many people now know about ALS.  There are thousands of people running the race and I personally would feel uncomfortable.  Not because she was on her period but having it dripping everywhere just seems so unsanitary.  I would have considered other peoples feelings before I made that decision.

What do you guys think?  Would you have done it?  Also, what do you think of this series?  Let me know how often you would want a post like this.  I can't wait to hear from you all!

I've been watching a TON of videos like this on YouTube so I thought it would be perfect to blog about.  I want to be a debate/discussion series. I love thought provoking topics and it will help me get to know you guys better. It can be about life, pop culture, or just anything really. If you have suggestions leave a comment or email me at jerica.berner@gmail.com.  I really look forward to hearing all your topic ideas!

My Thoughts On Bruce Jenner

This is a post I've been wanting to do for awhile.  I have watched the 20/20 special and the Kardashian special as well.  I now feel ready to share my opinions about Bruce being transgender.

To be honest, I originally wanted to watch the 20/20 interview because I thought it was all for publicity.  I just could not believe that Bruce Jenner was going to be a woman.  After about 5 minutes in I realized just how real it was.  I personally have never met a person who was transgender.  Watching the interview gave some really great insight.  I feel like I understand what it really means now.

I watched it with my mom who I thought would hate it.  She is very Christian and isn't very open minded with topics like this.  Surprisingly she felt the same way I did.  I felt bad that he lived his life with such a huge secret.  Nobody should ever have to do that.  I know that people can be extremely brutal to that community which makes it harder to come out.  I think that Bruce can really help the community and make a difference.

I have watched the Kardashians for years and I always wondered why he allowed them to be so rude to him.  Watching that special made me cry.  He loves his family SO much that he thinks his decision will hurt them.  I think they are just scared because they have no idea what to expect.  I would feel the same way.  It showed that they are human and they do have feelings.  I really liked how they never mentioned their image being ruined.  They love and support him no matter what.

The hardest part for me was his conversation with Kris.  I cried a lot.  She is hurt that he couldn't share these feelings with him.  Being together 25 years, she now feels it was all a lie.  It wasn't though.  He has been living with this secret since he was 8.  That is why he never shared how he was feeling.  He will still be the same person but free.  I'm so glad that now he can finally be her.

I want to know what you guys think.  I find it very inspiring.  Be who you are, not who the world wants you to be.  Also, be respectful of the LGBTQ community.  They are humans just like us.  Remember that different is a good thing.

DWTS Season 20: Team YOLO vs. Team Trouble

It's week 6!  In case you missed my recap of last week you can check it out here.  The theme is Spring Break night!  This week team dances are back.  This is always a favorite for me.  Whichever team Derek is on always wins.  We'll see if that streak continues.  Tonight another person will be eliminated.  Make sure you keep voting for your favorites so they don't go home!  Who are your favorites?

PATTI LABELLE AND ARTEM CHIGVINTSEV:
Her spring break song is Heat Wave by Martha and the Vandellas.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  I actually enjoyed it.  It was very fun and entertaining.  It was probably her best dance she has done yet.  She danced in one shoe even!  I did wish it had a bit more actual Quickstep steps.  If she doesn't step it up soon then she will go home.  Her score was 29 of 40.

NASTIA LIUKIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
Her spring break song is Summer by Calvin Harris.  This week she danced the Tango.  I loved it SO much!  She felt a lot of pressure but she always pulls it off.  Her determination is insane and inspiring.  It did lack a bit of passion but I'm sure they will pull it back together.  I have total faith in her.  Her score was 34 of 40.

WILLOW SHIELDS AND MARK BALLAS:
Her spring break song is Tequila by Xavier Cugat.  This week she danced the Salsa.  I really liked this dance!  The Salsa is usually super sexy but it was sassy.  It was very appropriate for her age.  The lifts were fantastic.  It was very high energy and just a ton of fun.  I just love her.  Her score was 34 of 40.

ROBERT HERJAVEC AND KYM JOHNSON:
His spring break song is Surfin' Safari by The Beach Boys.  This week he danced the Jive.  It was definitely better than last week.  There was a ton of content which I enjoy.  It was lots of fun.  The chemistry is amazing between them.  He did have a slight mistake though.  He really just needs to work and focus on his timing.  I know he can to it!  His score was 28 of 40.

NOAH GALLOWAY AND SHARNA BURGESS:
His spring break song is Waves by Mr. Probz.  This week he danced the Rumba.  I was worried about this dance but I was really impressed.  There was a lot more content and it made him more vulnerable.  I think America really needed to see that.  He inspires so many people and he just needed to enjoy it more.  His partner does fantastic with the choreography.  I really applaud her.  His score was 29 of 40.

RUMER WILLIS AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
Her spring break song is Bootylicious by Destiny's Child.  This week she danced a Jazz.  I actually really enjoyed this.  I felt it lacked content.  She walked around a lot.  It was a step back from her dance last week.  It was fun and sassy.  It's hard to take such an iconic song and make it your own.  She has definitely done better.  Her score was 32 of 40.

CHRIS SOULES AND WHITNEY CARSON:
His spring break song is Hopelessly Devoted To You by Olivia Newton-John.  This week he danced the Viennese Waltz.  He did such a good job!  I couldn't even believe it was him!  It was romantic and I was sucked in.  He was just super confident!  His framework was great as well.  All the ladies were swooning!  His score was 31 of 40.

RIKER LYNCH AND ALLISON HOLKER:
His spring break song is Want To Want Me by Jason DeRulo.  This week he danced the Samba.  OMG I am officially obsessed with him!  He did so AMAZING!!!!  He just makes every dance unique and I love that.  I'm a total fangirl!  He just keeps improving every single week.  His legs do need some work but I don't even care!  His score was 37 of 40.

Team YOLO:
Their spring break song is Wipe Out by The Surfaris.  The dance style is a freestyle.  Their team members are Willow, Robert, Nastia, and Noah.  I loved EVERYTHING about this!  It was 50's inspired and I thought it was SO fun!  I wish it never ever ended!  I just want to watch it over and over!  Their score was 39 of 40.

Team Trouble:
Their spring break song is Trouble by Iggy Azalea.  The dance style is a freestyle.  Their team members are Chris, Rumer, Patti, and Riker.  I loved it but it wasn't my favorite.  I enjoyed the concept inspired by The Breakfast Club.  I thought Patti brought them down a lot.  I'm just not a fan.  Their score was 39 of 40.  This means it's a tie.  Personally I thought Team YOLO won.  Tell me your thoughts!

Results:
Chris, Riker, Willow, Nastia, Robert, Rumer, and Noah are safe.  Patti has been eliminated.

DWTS Season 20: Wonderful World Of Disney

It's week 5!  If you missed my recap last week you can click here.  This week is very exciting because it's Disney week!!!  Disney is my life so I can't wait to see what happens.  They did this theme a couple of seasons ago so it has a lot to live up to.  The show kicked off with an AMAZING group number.  I loved it!  Tonight somebody will be eliminated.  Make sure you are voting for your favorite couple so they don't go home!

SUZANNE SOMERS AND TONY DOVOLANI:
Her Disney movie is Lady And The Tramp.  Her song is He's A Tramp.  This week she danced a Jazz.  It was going pretty good until she forgot her steps.  She did pull it back together.  I really liked the more sultry side.  I think she does well when she has an actual character to portray.  I personally liked last week's better.  Her score was 28 of 40.

ROBERT HERJAVEC AND KYM JOHNSON:
His Disney movie is Mary Poppins.  His song is Step In Time.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  I'm just obsessed with him!  I honestly never expected him to last this long.  He really struggled with this dance.  His personality really took over.  He did mess up but I didn't even care.  He'll step it up next week I'm sure.  His score was 24 of 40.

PATTI LABELLE AND ARTEM CHIGVINTSEV:
Her Disney movie is Pinocchio.  Her song is When You Wish Upon A Star.  This week she danced the Waltz.  It was SO much better than last week.  I really did enjoy it.  It was romantic and magical.  She did need more steps but she's also injured.  I don't know how much longer she'll last.  I definitely enjoy when she does ballroom because it just fits her personality.  Her score is 27 of 40.

WILLOW SHIELDS AND MARK BALLAS:
Her Disney movie is Alice In Wonderland.  Her song is Alice's Theme.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  It was super creepy but I liked it A LOT!  The concept was just phenomenal.  She did need to work on her arms but I barely noticed.  It was just so crazy!  Every week I love her more and more.  She genuinely could win the whole thing.  Her score was 34 of 40.

CHRIS SOULES AND WHITNEY CARSON:
His Disney movie is Hercules.  His song is Zero To Hero.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  I really liked it!  He had injured his knee hours before the show.  It did have a couple issues but it was an improvement.  His musicality is what he needs to work on.  This was my favorite by him.  It was just fun and really adorable.  His score was 27 of 40.

NOAH GALLOWAY AND SHARNA BURGESS:
His Disney movie is Aladdin.  His song is A Whole New World.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  It was SO cute!  Since he doesn't have a knew this dance was a struggle.  His posture was spot on.  He does need more content but he does great.  I never wanted it to end because I was just so captured by him.  If he just focuses on what he can do then he'll go far.  His score was 28 of 40.

RIKER LYNCH AND ALLISON HOLKER:
His Disney movie is Pirates Of The Caribbean.  His song is He's A Pirate.  This week he danced the Paso Doble.  He KILLED everything about this dance!!!!!  I loved every single second!  By far his best dance EVER!  It had passion, anger, content, technique, and more!  I wish it went on forever!  I just can't say enough.  I had no clue he could pull that out!  His score was 38 of 40.

RUMER WILLIS AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
Her Disney movie is The Little Mermaid.  Her song is Poor Unfortunate Souls.  This week she danced the Samba.  It was SO good!  She went opposite and played a villain.  It had loads of content and the creativity was just insane.  It was just mind blowing!  She was very confident as well which is something she has slowly been working on.  This was her best so far.  Her score was 39 of 40.

NASTIA LIUKIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
Her Disney movie is Frozen.  Her song is Love Is An Open Door.  This week she danced a Jazz..  This is one of my favorite movies so I couldn't wait!  I totally loved everything about it!  I liked seeing this side of her.  It was fun and cute and adorable.  I'm glad the chose Anna over Elsa because she is my favorite.  The only thing that would have made it better was Olaf.  Her score was 38 of 40.

Results:
Nastia, Riker, Noah, Willow, Rumer, Robert, Patti, and Chris are safe.  Suzanne has been eliminated.

Weekly Obsession!

Happy Wednesday!  I'm back on schedule with my weekly obsession posts.  I'm finally healed after having 3 teeth pulled.  My obsession is...Laffy Taffy!  Now this is not a new discovery at all.  At Easter, I raided my nieces baskets and there was a ton of laffy taffy.  As a kid my sisters and I could easily eat a whole giant bag in a day.  It must be making a comeback because I saw it everywhere this Easter.  I'm very happy!  There is also new flavors such as coconut and sweet tart.  I personally like the classic flavors best.  My favorites are banana and grape.  What are your favorite flavors?  Are you glad they are becoming popular again?  Let me know!

Quiz Tuesday: Which Disney Villain Should You Team Up With To Take Over The World?

I'm back!  It's also Tuesday which means it's time for a quiz!  It's been awhile so I wanted to do something fun.  Today's quiz is called Which Disney Villain Should You Team Up With To Take Over The World?  I'm obsessed with Disney and who doesn't want to take over the world?  If you wanna take this quiz with me just click here.  Make sure you leave your results in the comments!

I got Maleficent.  The description says Maleficent is surrounded by “poor simple fools,” but she knows you’re not one of them. Get ready to take over the world together!

I'm not a big fan of Sleeping Beauty but I'll take it!  I was hoping for a better villain but it's still a good one.  Were you happy with your results?  Let me know!

DWTS Season 20: Most Memorable Year

It's week 4!  If you missed last week's recap you can check it out here.  Make sure you subscribe so you never miss it!  This week's theme is one of my favorites.  The theme is Most Memorable Year.  It's always SUPER emotional so I know it won't disappoint.  Tonight somebody will be eliminated.  Make sure you are voting for your favorite couple so they don't go home too soon!!!

NASTIA LIUKIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
Her most memorable year was 2008 when she won gold in the Olympics.  This week she danced the Argentine Tango.  It was AMAZING!  I wish it never ended!!  It had passionate and the lifts were fantastic.  She could have gotten more in character but I didn't mind.  She has really improved her posture which has been her biggest critique.  I just loved her!  She will go very far!  Her score was 36 of 40.

MICHAEL SAM AND PETA MURGATROYD:
His most memorable year was 2014 when he came out as gay which hurt his already broken relationship with his dad.  This week he danced the Rumba.  It wasn't my favorite that he has danced but it was very emotional.  You could just feel everything.  It was beautiful and I like his story a lot.  He has really improved.  His score was 30 of 40.

RIKER LYNCH AND ALLISON HOLKER:
His most memorable year was 2014 when his band R5 took off.  This week he danced the Tango.  I'm really starting to like him.  He always stands out and I always remember him.  The music was really hard to pull off a proper Tango but he did great.  I really enjoyed it!  He had some frame issues but he'll improve.  His score was 34 of 40.

ROBERT HERJAVEC AND KYM JOHNSON:
His most memorable year was 2006 when his mom passed away from cancer.  She watched the show all the time so this dance is for her.  This week he danced the Waltz.  I got very emotional.  I was just entranced.  It was his best yet and I know his mom would have been so proud.  It was so elegant and beautiful.  I'm glad they kept it classic.  He will go very far especially because he improves each week.  His score was 34 of 40.

CHRIS SOULES AND WHITNEY CARSON:
His most memorable year was 2014 when he found love on The Bachelor.  This week he danced the Rumba.  It had really beautiful moments but overall it was a bit stiff.  He has had much better dances.  He really needs to work on his chemistry with his partner especially with the dance of love.  It was really simple and elegant though.  He needs to work a little bit harder.  His score was 27 of 40.

PATTI LABELLE AND ARTEM CHIGVINTSEV:
Her most memorable year was 1973 when her son was born.  This week she danced a Jazz.  I'm just not a fan of hers.  She did add more content but she barely moves.  I don't see why the judges are so obsessed with her.  You can't just do the same moves every single week.  I don't think she even has a chance of winning.  Her score was 30 of 40.

RUMER WILLIS AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
Her most memorable year was 2014 when she didn't care about what the bullies say about her.  She realized she is perfect the way she is.  This week she danced the Waltz.  I always love whatever she does.  It was powerful bur also unique.  She is just SO inspiring!  It did need more Waltz content but it looked amazing.  She is dancing for every girl out there.  Her score was 35 of 40.

SUZANNE SOMERS AND TONY DOVOLANI:
Her most memorable year was 1977 when she got the role on Three's Company.  This dance is for John Ritter who was her costar and who has since passed.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  It was very emotional.  I loved the content so much.  It was fun and light hearted which fits her personality.  It was my favorite by her so far.  Her score was 28 of 40.

WILLOW SHIELDS AND MARK BALLAS:
Her most memorable year was 2011 when she was casted as Prim Rose Everdeen in the Hunger Games.  This week she danced Contemporary.  I FREAKING loved it!  I'm actually a huge fan of the Hunger Games so I wanted more.  It had so much passion and emotion.  I'm blown away by how good she is.  It totally was for the fans and I wanted more!  Her score was 39 of 40.

NOAH GALLOWAY AND SHARNA BURGESS:
His most memorable year was 2005 when he was hit by a roadside bomb in the war.  He lost two limbs but has now accepted it.  This week he danced Contemporary.  It was very touching and inspiring.  He really let his guard down and gave us all courage.  This whole thing was beautiful.  He even did lifts which were so great.  I applaud him.  His score was 32 of 40.

Results:
Patti, Suzanne, Willow, Rumer, Noah, Chris, Robert, Nastia, and Riker are safe.  Michael has been eliminated.

Would You Rather *Book Edition*

Hey guys!  Today I wanted to do a fun but different post.  I actually saw this done on YouTube and I really enjoyed it.  It's Would You Rather questions but all about books!  I've been a bookworm for pretty much my entire life so it seems fitting.  If you want more posts like this let me know!  Also if you do this leave a link in the comments!

Would You Rather...

1. Read only trilogies or stand alones?
I would have to choose stand alones.  I have only really LOVED one trilogy which was the Divergent series.  With stand alone books I can read multiple by the same author.  There is also less expectation for the follow up book to be better.

2. Read only female or male authors?
I read mainly male authors but to be honest I have no preference.

3. Shop at bookshops or online?
I always by books online.  I just haven't found a good bookshop that I like in my town.  Maybe I'll look for one downtown.

4. All books become movies or t.v. shows?
Definitely TV shows.  First of all I'm obsessed with TV plus you can get SO much more detail.  Movies tend to change or cut things out that are important.  They don't always do the book justice.

5. Read 5 pages per day or 5 books per week?
I would pick 5 books a week.  This is easily doable for me.  I'm constantly reading so a book a day isn't hard.  5 pages a day gets you hooked but you couldn't continue.  It would frustrate me!

6. Be a professional reviewer or author?
Well I'm already kind of a reviewer on this blog.  Being an author would be too much pressure for me.  I'll stick with blogging!

7. Only read your top 20 favorite books over and over or always read new ones that you haven't read before?
This is a hard one.  I think I'd rather read my favorites over and over.  I love to reread.  I feel like I would miss out on a lot by not reading new ones but that's okay.  It didn't say I couldn't read the new books reviews ;)

8. Be a librarian or bookseller?
I think a bookseller would be fun.  You can tell a lot about a person based on what books they buy.  In libraries you never know if it's required reading or for enjoyment.

9. Only read your favorite genre, or every genre except your favorite?
I'm not sure I have a favorite genre.  I read all kinds of books so I guess I'd choose every genre.

10. Only read physical books or eBooks?
I read eBooks.  They are just more convenient for me.  Plus they tend to be cheaper which I love..  I do own some physical books only because they are my favorites.
