♥October Favorites♥

Happy Halloween!  I hope you all have a safe and fun night.  I'll be taking my nieces out trick or treating.  I can't believe that October is over!  It flew by way to fast.  I'm super excited for the holidays though.  I had so many favorites this month.  Leave me a comment telling me your favorites.  You can also tweet me/follow me on Twitter @jerica_89.

Music:
My first song is Me & My Girls by Fifth Harmony.  I just love this group!  This song is just really fun and all girls can relate.  They finally have an album out which is SO good.  I also am obsessed with their song Who Are You.  I only wish the album was longer.

My next song is By The Grace Of God by Katy Perry.  I've been DYING for this album to come out and it didn't disappoint.  It is AMAZING!  This song is one of my favorites because of the message.  She was so broken and didn't see a reason to live.  She realized that is no way to think and pushes forward.  It's very inspiring.

My last song is Sweeter Than Fiction by Taylor Swift.  This is a song she wrote for a movie soundtrack.  I really like it.  I can't wait for her next album.  This song is about going after your dreams no matter what others say.  Everybody should follow that advice.

TV Show:
I've been watching many new fall shows.  By far my favorite has been Hostages.  It is SO good!  It's about a man who keeps an entire family hostage because he wants them to do something for them.  I can't tell you what he wants though.  It can get very intense but very interesting.  I get so excited for the next episode.

Movie:
Everybody should see the documentary Blackfish.  It will change your mind about everything you thought you knew.  It is all about Sea World and the killer whales they have in captive.  It is so heartbreaking.  It broke my heart to see how these animals are treated.  It is disturbing at parts but very educational.

Food:
My mom knows me so well.  She bought me Starburst Candy Corn and I'm obsessed!  It's my two favorite candies combined into one.  I got mine at Target but I'm sure other stores sell it.  Whoever invented this is a genius.  Go try them!

Random:
If you've read my blog for awhile then you'll know I've always been in love with Pentatonix.  Recently they did an evolution of Beyonce.  It is really good.  It covers many songs throughout her career.  I love how they use absolutely no instruments.  They also have a new album coming out so make sure you check them out.

Scent:
I've recently rediscovered a perfume that I wore all the time in high school.  It is called Paris Hilton by Paris Hilton.  I think it was one of her first scents.  I forgot how much I loved this smell.  It has a fruity scent but it's also clean.  It isn't too overpowering either.  The bottle design is cool too.

YouTube:
I've discovered a new YouTube channel this month.  It is called SuperFruit.  It is run by Mitch and Scott from Pentatonix.  I can't get enough of it!  Each Tuesday they post a new video.  They are all pretty random but very funny.  They'll also share what their weekly obsessions are.

Trend:
I've been LOVING beanies this fall.  I feel like they can go with pretty much any outfit.  There are also TONS of different styles.  They are perfect for bad hair days too.  I just love the versatility of them and they aren't expensive.

Quote:
I love this quote!  We as humans are so vain.  All we think about is what we have or want.  We never step back and look at our lives.  Life is full of awesome moments.  Don't think about what you want just remember moments.

Moment:
I had so many great moments this month.  My favorite was when we carved pumpkins.  I was with my whole family which doesn't happen often.  We all just get so busy.  It was really nice to just hang out together.  We had a lot of fun too.

DWTS Season 17: Team FoxingAwesome vs. Team Spooky BomBom

It's week 7!  Last week nobody was eliminated so there are still 8 couples left.  The show started with an amazing group dance number.  An announcement was made at the start of the show.  The announcement is Cher will be judging and performing next week.  Also there will be team dances tonight.  Team captains were based on last weeks high scores.  Tonight somebody will be going home.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Valentin Chmerkovskiy:
She wants to be challenged by her partner because it makes her better.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  I didn't feel it was her best but it was good.  It lacked body contact and they broke hold a few times.  It was fun though.  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd:
He needs to be confident to impress the judges.  This week he danced the Jive.  This is one of my favorite styles.  I thought it was the best Jive we've seen this season.  It was fun and full of energy.  There was a minor slip but it was still great.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani:
Her partner has given her some challenging choreography.  This week she danced the Salsa.  I really liked it!  It didn't seem too challenging for her at all.  The lifts could've been a little bit cleaner though.  She is really improving a lot.  Her score was 26 out of 30.

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
He is feeling a lot of pressure and the exhaustion is taking a toll on him.  This week he danced the Jive.  It wasn't typical but I liked it.  It wasn't perfect but his personality really shined.  He just made it seem so natural.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
They are both injured but are pushing through it.  This week she danced the Paso Doble.  I LOVED IT!  It had intensity and passion and power.  I just wanted more and more.  You couldn't even tell they had injuries.  She is still perfection.  Her score was 29 out of 30.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
He can't believe he is still in the competition but he is glad he is.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  I thought it was pretty good.  It definitely wasn't perfect but he tries.  He didn't break hold or miss a step so he didn't give up.  His score was 23 out of 30.

Snooki and Sasha Farber:
She's having a hard time juggling dancing and being a mom.  This week she danced the Samba.  I thought she did a great job.  It had a lot of speed but still had control.  She just needs to let go and have fun.  She is too hard on herself.   Her score was 27 out of 30.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
They struggled with choreography and kept changing it.  This week he danced the Cha Cha.  I loved everything about this!  It was technical and still really fun.  I also loved the music!  It was a comeback from last week.  His score was 29 out of 30.

Team Spooky BomBom:
The team captain is Elizabeth.  She chose Leah, Bill, and Snooki.  The dance style is freestyle.  This means there are no rules.  They are the underdogs for sure.  I loved the zombie theme.  Bill was my favorite because he entertained me.  Their score was 27 out of 30.

Team FoxingAwesome:
The team captain is Amber.  She chose Brant, Corbin, and Jack.  The dance style is also freestyle.  They are dancing to What Does The Fox Say.  I'm expecting HUGE things.  I LOVED every second of this dance!  It was AMAZING!  Corbin killed his solo!  Their score was 30 out of 30.

Amber, Corbin, Brant, Jack, Elizabeth, Leah, and Bill are safe.  Snooki is eliminated.  I'm kind of shocked because she has been improving each week.

DWTS Season 17: Switch-Up Challenge

It's week 6!  Only 8 couples are left!  After last weeks shocking elimination anything can  happen.  Tonight's theme is the Switch-Up Challenge.  This means that couples will dance side by side but they won't know the style or music until seconds before.  Another couple will be going home tonight.  The show opened with a big group number.  It was full of energy and lots of fun.  Ariana Grande also performed with Mika.  I'm obsessed with her so I loved it.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
He is working extra hard to stay in the competition.  This week he danced the Tango.  It was not traditional at all.  The music was country which is not typical.  Somehow it actually worked.  Seeing him enjoy himself makes you cheer him on more.  It wasn't perfect but he just has fun.  His score was 23 out of 30.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Valentin Chmerkovskiy:
She wants to show the more sexy side of her personality.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  I actually really liked it.  She has been growing on me.  She did a killer solo that set the tone of the dance.  She really let loose and had fun.  It was sexy but still classy.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  It is the first perfect score this season.

Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani:
After almost going home last week she is working much harder.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  I didn't really love it.  It was classy and elegant but I wanted more.  It was just kind of boring.  The judges loved it though.  At least she improved from last week.  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd:
He needs to step up to make sure people keep voting.  This week he danced the Tango.  I just love him!  It was sharp and clean.  This is the kind of Tango I love.  It was dark and full of intensity.  It had no gimmicks which is how it should be.  His score was 28 out of 30.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
She was upset by her scores last week and is trying extra hard to be better.  This week she danced the Samba.  It was AMAZING!!!!!!  She nailed it!  It was fast and full of energy.  She is just incredible and perfection.  I just love her.  Her score was 28 out of 30.

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
He wants to prove he is a good at Latin dances also.  This week he danced the Paso Doble.  This style just didn't fit his personality.  Paso is all about intensity and anger.  He is always cheerful and happy.  He did the best he could though.  His score was 25 out of 30.

Snooki and Sasha Farber:
She wants to be pushed harder by doing harder choreography.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  I really liked it.  She has improved so much.  It was elegant and fun.  She has definitely matured as a person.  She could actually win.  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
He was very excited because his music was Game Of Thrones.  This week he danced the Viennese Waltz.  I know nothing about Game Of Thrones but I loved it!  It wasn't traditional but that is what made it so awesome.  It was dark and passionate yet also beautiful.  I wanted more!  His score was 23 out of 30.

Switch-Up Challenge:
4 couples will be dancing on floor at the same time.  Randomly the music will switch so it will be impromptu.  Based on when you are tapped out will determine how many points they will get.

Round 1:
Jack: 2 extra points
Corbin: 4 extra points
Snooki: 3 extra points
Bill: 1 extra point

Round 2:
Brant: 3 extra points
Amber: 4 extra points
Elizabeth: 2 extra points
Leah: 1 extra point

Elimination:
Elizabeth, Amber, Brant, Leah, Corbin, Snooki, Jack, and Bill are safe.  Nobody is going home!  Keep voting for your favorites though!

DWTS Season 17: Most Memorable Year

It's week 5 already!  This week all the celebrities are remembering their favorite years of their lives.  I always love when they do this because it helps us learn more about them.  This week all the judges are back.  Tonight another celebrity will be going home.  I have no idea who it will be because the bad ones are gone.

Christina Milian and Mark Ballas:
Her most memorable year was 2010 because she had her daughter and got divorced.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  I really liked it.  She had so much fun and personality.  It was so much of an improvement from her other dances.  Her score was 28 out of 30.

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
His most memorable year was 2012 because his daughter was born but he also got diagnosed with MS.  This week he danced the Waltz.  I thought it was beautiful.  It was so graceful and romantic.  He dedicated it to his wife and you could feel the love.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani:
Her most memorable year was 2013 because she left Scientology.  This week she danced Contemporary.  I loved the concept of taking control of her life.  It just felt too choppy.  It had way to many lifts.  I just wanted more dancing.  Her score was 22 out of 30.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
His most memorable year was 2011 because his sister got diagnosed with scoliosis.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  I loved this danced!  It was just so beautiful!  I loved how it was modern yet classy.  I just wish it had never ended.  His score was 28 out of 30.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
His most memorable year was 1982 because he married his wife.  This week he danced the Viennese Waltz.  This dance was so sweet.  It wasn't perfect but it was heartfelt.  It was very romantic also.  He needs to work more on his arms and timing though.  His score was 24 out 30.

Snooki and Sasha Farber:
Her most memorable year was 2012 when she had her son.  This week she danced Jazz.  I really loved this dance!  It was so much fun!  It was very clean and neat.  She just looked so natural.  She has really changed since becoming a mom and she really portrayed that.  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd:
His most memorable year was 2009 because his dad passed away and got his first acting job.  This week he danced Contemporary. I got chills watching this dance.  It was so passionate.  You could just feel every emotion he felt.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
Her most memorable year was 2009 because she got cast on Glee.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  I just love her!  It was AMAZING!  She makes everything look flawless.  Her dancing and personality shine each week.  Her score was 26 out of 30.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Valentin Chmerkovskiy:
Her most memorable year was 2012 when her son was born.  This week she danced the Jive.  I'm starting to like her more.  It payed tribute to Saved By The Bell which I love.  It lost energy toward the end but it was still good.  Her score was 26 out of 30.

Corbin, Amber, Bill, Jack, Brant, Snooki, Elizabeth, and Leah are safe.  Christina is eliminated.  I'm shocked because she has been improving weekly.

DWTS Season 17: Julianne Hough Is Back?

Welcome to week 4!  Tonight Julianne Hough is back!  Sadly she is just judging and not dancing.  I wish she would come back to the show because I just love her.  The show kicked off with a big group number.  It was amazing as always.  Another celebrity will be going home tonight.  Tell me your favorites in the comments!

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
He had a few struggles during rehearsals with his partner.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  He improved a lot from last week.  He's much stronger at ballroom than latin.  He seemed to be very focused and needed more expression.  I love watching him.  His score was 24 out of 30.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Valentin Chmerkovskiy:
She gets weird and distracted during her rehearsals.  This week she danced the Argentine Tango.  This is one of my favorite dance styles.  For once I actually liked her dance.  It had passion and control.  She definitely impressed me this week.  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd:
Due to previous injury's he had a lot of stress during rehearsals.  This week he danced the Salsa.  I LOVED him!  I thought it was so fun and entertaining.  It wasn't perfect but I still enjoyed the dance.  Plus he got shirtless.  His score was 21 out of 30.

Valerie Harper and Tristan MacManus:
She wants to improve from last week and she won't quit.  This week she danced the Viennese Waltz.  It started out good but then it took a turn.  I thought she did the best for her ability.  I think so brave and courageous.  Her score was 18 out of 30.

Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani:
Her partner is pushing her harder to be better.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  I really like her!  It had attitude and sexiness.  It could've been sharper but she is getting better.  Her scores may not be improving but her confidence.  Her score was 24 out of 30.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
He wants to but pushed out of his comfort zone.  This week he danced the Paso Doble.  It was pretty much perfection.  They kept it traditional with no gimmicks which was nice.  It needed just a tiny but more push to be perfect.  He's amazing though.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Snooki and Sasha Farber:
She was sick and had a hard time during rehearsals.  This week she danced the Jive.  I really liked it and the theme was so cute.  It was a cheerleader theme.  It fit her personality and was so fun.  He kicks needed to be a lot sharper though.  Her score was 24 out of 30.

Christina Milian and Mark Ballas:
She is worried about not having enough people voting.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  I thought she did excellent.  It was very sultry and intense.  I was hoping to see her fun side.  Hopefully next week she can show that.  Her score was 24 out of 30.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
She has a knee injury and couldn't really rehearse a lot.  This week she danced the Tango.  It was AMAZING!  It was the best of the night!  It was pure passion.  It was very clean and sharp.  I honestly couldn't tell she was hurt.  I wish it never ended!  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
He really has a great connection with his partner.  This week he danced the Samba.  It was so much fun!  He actually has a good rhythm.  I'm glad his partner doesn't give him simple moves.  She at least challenges him.  I really enjoy him.  His score was 21 out of 30.

Bill, Elizabeth, Leah, Corbin, Amber, Jack, Christina, Snooki, and Brant are all safe.  Valerie is eliminated.  I wasn't too surprised.  I respect her so much though.
