♥December Favorites♥

Hey everybody!  It's that time again.  Can you believe tomorrow is 2014?  This year just went by so quickly.  It was a great one though.  Hopefully the new year is just as awesome.  Check back tomorrow for a review of pop culture events that happened in 2013.  Tell me in the comments your favorites.

Music:
My first song is Best Day Of My Life by American Authors.  I'm obsessed with this song!  The first time I heard it I felt so happy.  It's very upbeat and catchy.  If I'm feeling sad I just play this.  I've never heard of them before this so they must be pretty new.

My next song is Burn by Ellie Goulding.  I first heard this song on The Voice and loved it.  I've always loved her music because her voice is so unique.  I also like how she's slightly techno.  This song is very catchy too.  I never get tired of it.

My last song is Timber by Pitbull and Ke$ha.  This song is always in my head!  I love Ke$ha so I knew I'd like it.  Plus Pitbull usually has really good songs.  It should've been out during summer though instead of now.

TV Show:
I love the show The Sing Off!  I've watched every season and was so sad when it got canceled.  They brought it back though.  It's a show all about acapella groups.  There is no band or live instruments just their voices.  The season is already over but hopefully it will be back on soon.

Movie:
I loved the movie The Book Thief.  I read the book so I tried not to set my exceptions to high.  It was very good though.  It's set during World War II so it's very emotional.  The film really portrayed that and you really felt what they were feeling.  I recommend both the book and movie.  Both were similar but different.

Food:
I can't stop eating Ghirardelli chocolate.  This holiday season they had a limited edition one called Peppermint Bark.  It is so good!  It has white chocolate and milk chocolate together plus little pieces of peppermint candy.  I even got my grandma addicted.

Random:
Last month was 1D Day and it was amazing.  This is by far the best video on the internet.  All I have to say about this is enjoy!

Scent:
I finally got it!  My favorite Christmas gift was Our Moment perfume by One Direction.  It smells so amazing!  Even my younger sister likes it.  It's a more fruity smell than floral which I like.  I think the design is cute too.  It fits my collection well.

YouTube:
Every year YouTube makes a rewind video featuring our favorite YouTubers and most of the years viral videos.  This years didn't disappoint.  I've watched it multiple times.  It's such a creative idea.  Good job YouTube!

Trend:
I've been loving over sized cardigans.  They are just so comfortable and warm.  It's been a super cold winter here so it comes in handy.  I just love how cozy and soft they are.  There are so many prints and styles too.  They are just perfect.

Quote:
I really love this quote.  It really sets the tone for the new year.  I like being different.  Who cares if people look at you weird.  Being the same is boring.  Be whoever and whatever you want.

Moment:
I think my favorite moment was Christmas with my family.  I enjoyed just being lazy and watching my nieces play.  Even though I had a cold it was still fun.

Music Friday Christmas Edition: Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)

Christmas is only days away!  I'm so excited and ready for it.  Sadly this is the last Christmas song I'm posting this year.  Don't worry it's a good one.  It's one of my newest favorites.  It is Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Michael Buble.  I'm loving all his songs lately.  He just sounds amazing.  This song is also super catchy.  Have an awesome Christmas!

Music Friday Christmas Edition: Little Drummer Boy

Happy Friday!  Can you believe it's almost Christmas?  I'm SO excited this year!  Today's share is by one of my favorite groups.  It is Little Drummer Boy by Pentatonix.  I've loved them for awhile now.  They are a totally acapella group.  This means no instruments are used, they just their voices.  The did an AMAZING job on this song.  You can also buy their Christmas album on iTunes now.  It's very good.  Tell your favorite Christmas songs too!

♥November Favorites♥

Happy November you guys!  Can you guys believe Christmas is less than a month away?  I am super excited about the holidays this year.  If you have any blog requests let me know.  I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving!  Enjoy my favorites and share yours below.

Music:
My first song is I wish by Cher Llyod.  I'm kinda obsessed with her.  I just always love her music.  It's always just so different and original.  This song is about a guy you like but you aren't their type.  I really just love it.

My second song is Move by Little Mix.  I can't stop playing this song!  It is so catchy and is always in my head.  I love the video too.  It reminds me a lot of the 90's.  I can't wait until the album comes out!

My last song is Half A Heart by One Direction.  I couldn't not mention a song from their new album.  I'm obsessed with this song!  It is my favorite from the album.  I did a review on this blog if you want to check it out!

TV Show:
I've started watching the new PLL spin off called Ravenswood and now I can't stop.  It is totally different from anything I usually watch.  It is very creepy and freaks me out.  It's about a town with a curse and 5 teens are trying to solve it.  ABC Family always has the best shows.

Movie:
This is probably no surprise.  I loved The Hunger Games: Catching Fire!!!!!!  I read all the books so I knew what would happen.  Seeing it on screen was just AMAZING!  The costumes were just beautiful too.  I recommend reading the books first though.  The movie did leave out some pretty big plot lines.  It was still VERY good!

Food:
I can't stop eating pretzels this month.  I just think it is the best snack.  They are very filling and also healthier option than chips.  I'm not a health nut but since it's holiday time I'm cutting back.  Instead of eating candy all day just choose these.

Random:
My friend gave me a pad of paper that has the game Hangman on it.  I forgot how fun it was!  I'm horrible at it though.  I can never guess the word.  I've been practicing though.  It really makes your mind think which I like.

Scent:
I've recently discovered another scent I wore all the time.  It is Fancy by Jessica Simpson.  I'm pretty sure this is one of her first perfumes.  I just love how good it smells.  It also works really well for a day or night.  It has a sweet musky smell.

YouTuber:
I'm in with Michael Buckley on YouTube!  He is SUPER funny and loves pop culture as much as I do.  I'm subscribed to both of his channels.  On his main channel he does recaps of big pop culture news and he also does reviews.  Go check him out!

Quote:
I really love this quote.  It's important to have big dreams.  Never let anybody tell you that your dreams aren't reachable.  If you put your mind to it you do anything.  Even if you don't achieve them it's still nice to dream.  So just keep dreaming!

Moment:
I had a lot of great moments this month.  My favorite was taking my sister to her first concert.  We went to see Hunter Hayes.  It was so much fun!  She's starting college soon so it's nice to just hang out.

DWTS Season 17: Who Is The Winner?

Tonight we find out the winner!  The show opened with a big dance number featuring the entire cast.  It was a lot of fun.  Enrique Iglesias performed his new single Heart Attack.  I really like that song.  The encore dance was of course Amber's freestyle.  It was even better tonight!  Team FoxingAwesome performed their team dance while Ylvis sang What Does The Fox Say.  I love this dance!  The female pros did a dance together which was very good.  Bill Nye is back!  It was still a hot mess but who doesn't love that.  Elizabeth danced again.  Brant and Christina did a routine together with their partners.  It was very good!  Valerie also danced a new routine while Colbie Caillat sang.  She did pretty well.  Snooki danced next.  I just love her!  Lady Antebellum performed their new single Compass.  Leah danced next.  Bill was next which made me feel happy.  Next up is the fusion dances.  Corbin is first dancing the Cha Cha/Foxtrot.  I liked it but it was mostly Cha Cha.  It needed more Foxtrot.  His score was 27 out of 30.  Jack is next dancing the Paso Doble/Salsa.  It was very good!  They kept switching back and forth.  I was impressed.  His score was 27 out of 30.  Lastly Amber danced the Samba/Quickstep.  I loved it!  They made it look so easy.  It was flawless.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  Now it's the results!  In third place is Jack,  The runner up is Corbin.  THE WINNER IS................AMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DWTS Season 17: It's The Finals!

It's the finals!  Tonight is only night one.  Tonight each couple will dance three times.  They will dance a judges choice, the Samba relay, and of course the freestyle.  One couple will be going home tonight.  Tomorrow night we will find out who the winner is.  The show opened with Kellie Pickler singing her new song Little Bit Gypsy.  TLC performed their hit No Scrubs during the Samba relay.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
Nobody expected him to make it this far.  The judges chose the Viennese Waltz as his first dance.  I enjoyed this dance before and I still enjoyed it.  I thought he improved a little bit from before.  His score was 24 out of 30.  During the Samba relay he earned 2 extra points.  Next up is the Freestyle round.  I was actually really impressed.  He even attempted some difficult tricks.  I was very entertained.  His score was 25 out of 30.  This makes his total for the night 51.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
He is working on being more in control of the dances.  The judges chose the Quickstep as his first dance.  I loved it even more this time.  It had more control but still fast.  I enjoyed it.  His score was 27 out of 30.  During the Samba relay he earned 5 extra points.  Next up is the Freestyle round.  I really liked it but I wanted it to be more original.  It was all about Michael Jackson and I wanted to be about Corbin.  It was very good.  His score was 30 out of 30.  This makes his total for the night 62.

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
He really wants to win now that he made it.  The judges chose the Jive as his first dance.  It was SO much better.  He really worked on his kicks.  It was a little out of sync but I think that is just nerves.  His score was 24 out of 30.  During the Samba relay he earned 3 extra points.  Next up is the Freestyle round.  It was SO good!  His dancing just makes me so happy.  It was perfect for him.  It really fit his personality and skills.  His score was 30 out of 30.  This makes his total for the night 57.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
She is stepping it up for the final.  The judges chose the Charleston as her first dance.  It was amazing before and somehow it was even MORE amazing!  They were together the entire dance!  She is perfection!  Her score was 30 out of 30.  During the Samba relay she earned 4 extra points.  Next up is the Freestyle round.  It was SOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING!!!  I'm still in shock!  I loved the stepping section.  I barely noticed the other dancers.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  This makes her total for the night 64.

Elimination:
Amber, Corbin, and Jack will be back tomorrow!  Bill has been eliminated.  I'm still proud of him.  Tomorrow night the remaining couples will dance the fusion round.  This is a combination of two different dance styles.  Amber has the Samba/Quickstep.  Corbin has the Cha Cha/Foxtrot.  Jack has the Paso Doble/Salsa.  Who will win?  Come back tomorrow!

Midnight Memories Review

It's finally here!  It's the moment all One Direction fans have been waiting for!  Their third album is OFFICIALLY out right now!  It is everything I dreamed it would be.  This is by far the best yet!  It is a much more mature sound which I love.  I'm 24 so I'm glad they are targeting my age group.  Young fans might not enjoy it because it's more rock than pop.  It really fits them though.  Also they sound AMAZING!  All the boys are singing pretty equally now too.  Since they wrote most of the songs, they seem personal and more meaningful.  I really hope they tour near me so I can see these songs live.  I can't stop listening!  I got the deluxe version which includes 4 extra songs.  To know my thoughts on each song keep reading.  Tell me your favorite songs in the comments.

Tracks:
1. Best Song Ever:
This was the perfect first single.  It really sets the tone for the album.  It shows a little bit of the new mature sound but still pop.  It's very catchy too.  It's a song that will never get tired of.  Favorite lyric: You know, I know, you know I'll remember you, And I know, you know, I know you'll remember me

2. Story of My Life:
I'm so glad this is the current single.  It shows the more personal side of them especially in the video.  To me it's about reflecting on your life.  Life goes by so fast and it's nice to look back.  There are moments we all wish we could freeze and go back to.  Favorite lyric: And I'll be waiting for this time to come around But baby running after you is like chasing the clouds

3. Diana:
This song is totally for the fans.  It's all about how they have saved our lives.  They also know that we have changed their lives as well.  You can always tell that they love us all and this song just proves it.  Favorite lyric: I wanna reach out for ya, I wanna break these walls, I speak a different language but I still hear you call

4. Midnight Memories:
This is the anthem of the album.  I just turn it up and scream out the lyrics.  This was written with the stadium tour in mind for sure.  It's just all about being young and making memories.  Favorite lyric: I don't know where I'm going but I'm finding my way Same old shh but a different day

5. You and I:
This song is a love song.  It's all about staying together and not worrying what other's do or say.  No couple is the same.  Favorite lyric: Did they ever hold each other tight Like us did they ever fight, like us

6. Don’t Forget Where You Belong:
This is one of my favorites.  It's about them being on the road all the time but still being themselves.  Fame isn't changing them.  I think it's also an important for the fans to not change who they are.  Favorite lyric: On the horizon Oh I know I know I know I know the moon will be rising back home

7. Strong:
This song is about their relationships.  It's about not being afraid to be in love.  Love can be scary but it's okay to need each other.  Also Zayn sounds amazing on this song.  Favorite lyric: My heart Your heart
Sit tight like book ends Pages between us Written with no end

8. Happily:
This song just makes me feel happy.  It reminds me a lot of Mumford and Sons.  It's also very catchy and is always in my head.  Favorite lyric: It's four A.M. and I know that you're with him I wonder if he knows that I touched your skin

9. Right Now:
I really love this song.  It's about wishing that somebody special was always with you.  Since they travel a lot they miss their girlfriends.  They wish they could experience everything together.  Favorite lyric: I love this feeling that right now I wish you were here with me Cause right now Everything is new to me.

10. Little Black Dress:
I'm not a huge fan of this song.  It's just very repetitive.  It is more mature which I like.  I'm sure it will grow on me eventually.  I think I'd like it live better.  Favorite lyric: I wanna see the way you move for me baby I wanna see the way you move for me

11. Through the Dark:
This song really shows how good they all sound.  I love the message of finding love again when you think it will never happen.  With time you can get through anything.  Favorite lyric: You tell me that you heard it's all in vain But I can see your heart can love again And I remember you laughing So let's just laugh again

12. Something Great:
I really like this song.  It's the perfect ballad because it's slow still upbeat.  It's just a great song.  Also Louis' solo is perfection.  Favorite lyric: You're all I want So much it's hurting

13. Little White Lies:

This is another song I turn up super loud and yell the lyrics.  It is definitely a mature subject and I like it.  I'm sure no girls would ever turn them down.  Favorite lyric: You say you're a good girl But I know you would girl Cause you've been telling me all night With your little white lies, little white lies

14. Better Than Words:
This is one of my most played songs on the album.  It's just such a cute song.  It's about not being able to describe love in words.  Niall's solo is the best though.  Favorite lyric: Best I ever had Hips don't lie You make me wanna.. One more night

15. Why Don’t We Go There:
This song is very fun and catchy.  It reminds me of young love and just letting everything go and enjoying it.  Don't just be serious all the time.  Favorite lyric: I know you want, know you wanna take it slow Think about all the places we could go If you give in tonight

16. Does He Know?:
The beat of  this song reminds me of the 80's song Jessie's Girl.  I really like it though.  It's just really fun and makes you wanna dance.  Favorite lyric: Your secret tattoo, the way you change moods The songs that you sing when you're all alone Your favorite band, and the way that you dance

17. Alive:
This song is very rock and roll.  I love how mature this album is.  This song is about just living life.  Don't worry what others might think.  Favorite lyric: We got to live before we get older Do what we like We got nothing to lose Shake off the weight of the world from your shoulders

18. Half A Heart:
This is by far my favorite song from the album.  It's the perfect song to describe what a break up feels like.  I'm obsessed!  I've had it on repeat all night.  Favorite lyric: And being here without you is like I'm waking up to Only half a blue sky Kinda there but not quite I'm walking around with just one shoe I'm half a heart without you

DWTS Season 17: Maks Is Back!

It's week 10 already!  Next week is the finals.  This season went by so fast.  Tonight Maksim Chmerkovskiy will be the guest judge.  I'm excited because I miss him on the show.  Tonight the celebrities will perform two dances.  One dance will be an acoustic performance.  This will really show who is a contender for the finals.  The show opened with an awesome group number.  Tonight somebody will go home.

Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani:
She just can't believe she made it this far.  This week she danced the Paso Doble.  I didn't love it.  It lacked emotion and passion.  There were also some mistakes.  She needs to really work on portraying emotion.  Her score was 32 out of 40.  Her acoustic dance was the Argentine Tango.  It wasn't my favorite.  It lacked the emotion.  There weren't mistakes though.  It just needs that connection.  Her score was 33 out 40.  This makes her total for the night 65 out of 80.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
He feels like the judges are harder on him.  This week he danced the Tango.  I LOVED IT!  It had tons of passion.  I really enjoyed the little tricks too.  He deserves to make the finals and win.  His score was 35 out of 40.  His acoustic dance was the Rumba.  I loved it!  The emotion was very strong.  It was very clean and smooth.  It felt romantic and beautiful also.  His score was 40 out of 40.  This makes his total for the night 75 out of 80.

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
His disease is acting up again causing pain.  This week he danced Jazz.  I thought he did a pretty good job.  I couldn't tell he had any problems.  It wasn't his comfort zone but he just totally goes for it.  His score was 33 out of 40.  His acoustic dance was the Argentine Tango.  I really liked it!  I think it was one of his best dances yet.  It looked natural for him.  He redeemed himself.  His score was 38 out of 40.  This makes his total for the night 71 out of 80.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
He is so thankful for his fans and is working hard for them.  This week he danced the Cha Cha.  He always makes me smile and I think thats why people vote.  He is far from perfect but is really trying.  His score was 28 out of 40.  His acoustic dance was the Argentine Tango.  I actually liked it.  I think since it was slow it was good for him.  I don't think he has potential to win but it was good.  His score was 32 out of 40.  This makes her total for the night 60 out of 80.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
She has been checked by a doctor and her knees are better.  This week she danced Jazz.  It was SO good!  She is back!  It was super detailed and just amazing.  You never knew what was coming.  I wanted more!  Her score was 39 out of 40.  Her acoustic dance was the Viennese Waltz.  It was AMAZING!  It was just flawless.  I was just enchanted the whole time.  I wish it never ended.  Her score was 40 out 40.  This makes her total for the night 79 out of 80.

Elimination:
The finalists are Corbin, Amber, Jack, and Bill.  Leah is eliminated.  I'm kind of shocked.  She was improving so much.

TGIF!  I feel like this week lasted forever.  Maybe it felt that way because I'm taking my younger sister to Hunter Hayes tomorrow night.  We are so excited!  Today's share is a song I can't stop playing.  It is Brave by Sara Bareilles.  I just love the message.  I encourage all of you to stand up for yourself!  Enjoy!

DWTS Season 17: Trio Dances

It's week 9!  There are only 6 couples left.  This is the first week they will dance two routines.  One will be the trio round.  During this round another pro will join the celebrity and their partner.  It could get very interesting.  The show opened with the couples showing their favorite dance move.  I've been loving all the opening numbers this season.  Another celebrity will be eliminated tonight.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
She has gained so much confidence from this show.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  She was great as always.  I can barely tell shes injured.  It wasn't her best but it's only because her standards are set so high.  Her score was 24 out of 30.  Her trio dance was the Salsa.  They chose Mark Ballas to join them.  It was so good!  It was really fun and entertaining.  She pushed through the pain.  Her score was 27 out of 30.  This makes their total 51 out of 60.

Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani:
She is finally believing in herself and thinks she could make the finals.  This week she danced the Tango.  I thought she did really well.  I wanted more passion though.  She continues to grow and improve each week.  She still isn't perfect yet but is trying.  Her score was 27 out of 30.  Her trio dance was the Jive.  They chose Henry Byalikov to join them,  I really enjoyed the concept by becoming the judges.  The dancer was terrible though.  Her score was 27 out of 30.  This makes their total 54 out of 60.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
He really wants to impress the judges.  This week he danced the Waltz.  I adored this!  It was very traditional and romantic.  I was just enchanted by it.  Every time he dances I love him even more.  He always captivates me.  His score was 28 out of 30.  His trio dance is Jazz.  They chose Witney Carson to join them.  I loved it!  It was a true Jazz routine.  It is the best I've ever seen.  His score was 30 out of 30.  This makes their total 58 out of 60.

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
He is working extra hard to be perfect.  This week he danced Viennese Waltz.  It was absolutely beautiful.  All his ballroom dances just seem so natural.  I thought it was one of his best so far.  His arms still need work though.  His score was 29 out of 30.  His trio dance is the Samba.  They chose Sharna Burgess to join them.  I thought it was so cute!  He just had so much fun.  I smiled the whole time.  His score was 25 out of 30.  This makes their total 54 out of 60.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
He needs to step up and be more focused if he wants to win.  This week he danced the Charleston.  It made me laugh.  It just wasn't good.  It was very stiff and his timing was off.  At least he tries and never gives up.  His score was 21 out of 30.  His trio dance is the Salsa.  They chose Peta Murgatroyd to join them.  It was entertaining.  It was a bit of a mess though.  It was fun at least.  His score was 21 out of 30.  This makes their total 42 out of 60.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Valentin Chmerkovskiy:
She really wants to improve for the judges.  This week she danced the Viennese Waltz.  I thought it was just ok.  I found it to be boring honestly.  Nothing really stood out for me.  I wish she just had more fun and not be so serious.  Her score was 26 out of 30.  Her trio dance is the Salsa.  They chose Gleb Savchenko to join them.  I liked this better.  She just let go and had fun.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  This makes their total 56 out of 60.

Results:
Corbin, Jack, Amber, Leah, and Bill are safe.  Elizabeth is eliminated.  This is very shocking.  I guess people aren't voting.

TGIF!  It's been a crazy week!  Today's share is probably not a surprise.  It is Story Of My Life by One Direction.  I'm obsessed!  It is a totally new sound for them.  The video is so amazing!  I can't stop watching.  I honestly can't wait for the album.  Don't worry I'll do an album review on here.  Do you like the new sound?  Let me know.  Enjoy!

♥Sweater Weather Tag♥

Hey guys!  Fall is one of my favorite seasons.  It's just such a perfect time of year.  While I was on YouTube I saw this tag and decided I'd share it with you.  I want to know all your answers too!  Leave them in the comments or tweet me @jerica_89.  Also if you want me to do more posts then let me know.  Enjoy!

1. Favorite candle scent?
It's not really a candle because I use warmer instead.  The scent I'm obsessed with this fall is called Autumn Sunset.  It smells amazing!  It smells like the perfect fall day.  It is described as Apples, pumpkins, fall leaves, and spices.  I love it!

2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
Hot chocolate for sure!  The minute it turns cold I start drinking it.  I do drink coffee sometimes.  I'm really weird though because I will only drink it straight black.

3. What's the best fall memory you have?
I don't really have a favorite fall memory.  One that I remember most is going to our towns parade.  Every fall they have a huge parade.  I was even in it a few times.  My whole family went every year.  Plus it's free candy!

4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?
I love the winged eyeliner trend.  It just never gets old.  I do like dark lips but I'm very pale so it just doesn't look right on me.

5. Best fragrance for fall?
I have two different perfumes I wear during fall.  The first is Fancy by Jessica Simpson.  It's a more floral type scent.  The top notes are pear, apricot and red berries; middle notes are gardenia, jasmine, almond and caramel; base notes are sandalwood, vanilla and amber.  The second one is Believe by Britney Spears.  This is fruity and floral mixed.  The top notes of exotic guava and golden tangerine, middle notes of honeysuckle and hints of linden blossom and base notes of patchouli wrapped in amber and pink pralines.

6. Favorite Thanksgiving food?
We don't have a traditional Thanksgiving.  We usually just choose whatever we want.  My favorite food is pumpkin cheesecake.  If you haven't tried it do it fast.  I also really love pie.

7. What is autumn weather like where you live?
It changes every year.  Sometimes it is really warm but sometimes it is rainy and freezing.  It is very pretty though because all the leaves change.

8. Most worn sweater?
I mostly wear hoodies instead of sweaters.  My most worn is one I bought at Walmart.  It just is really comfy and fits my personality.  It has a peace sign and glitter and neon colors.  I love it.

9. Must-have nail polish this fall?
My must have fall nail polish color is always a darker grey.  I don't have a certain one though.  I always tend to go for a dark color though.

10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles?
I love jumping in leaf piles!

11. Skinny jeans or leggings?
Skinny jeans for sure.

12. Combat boots or Uggs?
I'm obsessed with Uggs.

13. Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
Yes!  Very much!

14. Favorite fall TV show?
Right now I'm loving Hostages.  It is super intense and exciting!  I'm just so obsessed!

15. What song really gets you into the fall spirit?
I don't have just one particular song.  I have noticed that I listen to mellow songs.  My current favorite is Let Her Go by Passenger.  It's just so cute.

DWTS Season 17: Cher Is In The Building

Welcome to week 8!  This season has went so fast!  This week Cher will be guest judging and performing.  I'm not a huge fan so we'll see how she does.  The celebrities will all be dancing to Cher's hit songs.  The couple with the highest score tonight will be safe from elimination.  The remaining 6 couples will have a dance off.  Cher opened the show by performing her song Believe.  I actually love this song so I enjoyed it.  Later she sang a new song called I Hope You Find It.  Another celebrity will be sent home tonight.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
He has many other work distractions.  His Cher song is Welcome to Burlesque.  This week he danced the Argentine Tango.  It was good but it wasn't my favorite.  I had very high expectations but it didn't wow me.  I think the music just didn't fit.  I wanted more passion.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani:
She really wants to impress Cher.  Her Cher song is I Got You Babe.  This week she danced the Viennese Waltz.  It was pretty good.  I liked the concept of recreating when Sonny and Cher met.  She needed to work on her hold.  Her score was 25 out of 30.

Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd:
He likes to be challenged even if it isn't perfect.  His Cher song is It's In His Kiss.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  I loved it!  It was fun and flirty.  He has really been improving and I think he could really win.  He just needs to push himself a little harder.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Valentin Chmerkovskiy:
She is feeling a lot of stress because she switched her song.  Her Cher song is Bang Bang.  The week she danced Jazz.  I didn't love it.  I keep changing how I feel about her dances.  I just wanted it to be more powerful and more anger.  Her score was 25 out of 30.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
His fans continue supporting and voting for him.  His Cher song is Strong Enough.  This week he danced the Disco.  I actually really liked it!  It was very entertaining and really fun.  It even had tricks which impressed me.  He isn't perfect but he tries.  His score was 24 out of 30.

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
He is really enjoying the experience of all this.  His Cher song is The Beat Goes On.  This week he danced the Tango.  I just think he is so cute.  His confidence has improved so much.  He did very good.  It was proper but still fun.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
Her injury is still bothering her but she is not giving up.  Her Cher song is If I Could Turn Back Time.  This week she danced the Rumba.  It was AMAZING!!!  It had tons of passion and control.  I wish it never ended.  She can do no wrong.  Her score was 28 out of 30.  Since she got the highest score she is safe from elimination.

Dance Off:
Corbin vs. Elizabeth dancing Cha Cha: Corbin won!  This means he gets an extra 3 points.

Brant vs. Leah dancing Rumba: Leah won!  This means she gets an extra 3 points.

Jack vs. Bill dancing Disco: Jack won!  This means he gets an extra 3 points.

Results:
Amber, Bill, Elizabeth, Corbin, Leah, and Jack.  Brant is eliminated.  I'm so upset with this!  I thought he could win.

Music Friday: Let Her Go

Happy Friday!  Sorry I missed last week, I've been super busy with school lately.  I'm back though!  Today's share is my current obsession.  It is Let Her Go by Passenger.  I love everything about this song.  The lyrics are amazing.  Plus he reminds me of Ed Sheeran a lot.  Enjoy!

♥October Favorites♥

Happy Halloween!  I hope you all have a safe and fun night.  I'll be taking my nieces out trick or treating.  I can't believe that October is over!  It flew by way to fast.  I'm super excited for the holidays though.  I had so many favorites this month.  Leave me a comment telling me your favorites.  You can also tweet me/follow me on Twitter @jerica_89.

Music:
My first song is Me & My Girls by Fifth Harmony.  I just love this group!  This song is just really fun and all girls can relate.  They finally have an album out which is SO good.  I also am obsessed with their song Who Are You.  I only wish the album was longer.

My next song is By The Grace Of God by Katy Perry.  I've been DYING for this album to come out and it didn't disappoint.  It is AMAZING!  This song is one of my favorites because of the message.  She was so broken and didn't see a reason to live.  She realized that is no way to think and pushes forward.  It's very inspiring.

My last song is Sweeter Than Fiction by Taylor Swift.  This is a song she wrote for a movie soundtrack.  I really like it.  I can't wait for her next album.  This song is about going after your dreams no matter what others say.  Everybody should follow that advice.

TV Show:
I've been watching many new fall shows.  By far my favorite has been Hostages.  It is SO good!  It's about a man who keeps an entire family hostage because he wants them to do something for them.  I can't tell you what he wants though.  It can get very intense but very interesting.  I get so excited for the next episode.

Movie:
Everybody should see the documentary Blackfish.  It will change your mind about everything you thought you knew.  It is all about Sea World and the killer whales they have in captive.  It is so heartbreaking.  It broke my heart to see how these animals are treated.  It is disturbing at parts but very educational.

Food:
My mom knows me so well.  She bought me Starburst Candy Corn and I'm obsessed!  It's my two favorite candies combined into one.  I got mine at Target but I'm sure other stores sell it.  Whoever invented this is a genius.  Go try them!

Random:
If you've read my blog for awhile then you'll know I've always been in love with Pentatonix.  Recently they did an evolution of Beyonce.  It is really good.  It covers many songs throughout her career.  I love how they use absolutely no instruments.  They also have a new album coming out so make sure you check them out.

Scent:
I've recently rediscovered a perfume that I wore all the time in high school.  It is called Paris Hilton by Paris Hilton.  I think it was one of her first scents.  I forgot how much I loved this smell.  It has a fruity scent but it's also clean.  It isn't too overpowering either.  The bottle design is cool too.

YouTube:
I've discovered a new YouTube channel this month.  It is called SuperFruit.  It is run by Mitch and Scott from Pentatonix.  I can't get enough of it!  Each Tuesday they post a new video.  They are all pretty random but very funny.  They'll also share what their weekly obsessions are.

Trend:
I've been LOVING beanies this fall.  I feel like they can go with pretty much any outfit.  There are also TONS of different styles.  They are perfect for bad hair days too.  I just love the versatility of them and they aren't expensive.

Quote:
I love this quote!  We as humans are so vain.  All we think about is what we have or want.  We never step back and look at our lives.  Life is full of awesome moments.  Don't think about what you want just remember moments.

Moment:
I had so many great moments this month.  My favorite was when we carved pumpkins.  I was with my whole family which doesn't happen often.  We all just get so busy.  It was really nice to just hang out together.  We had a lot of fun too.

DWTS Season 17: Team FoxingAwesome vs. Team Spooky BomBom

It's week 7!  Last week nobody was eliminated so there are still 8 couples left.  The show started with an amazing group dance number.  An announcement was made at the start of the show.  The announcement is Cher will be judging and performing next week.  Also there will be team dances tonight.  Team captains were based on last weeks high scores.  Tonight somebody will be going home.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Valentin Chmerkovskiy:
She wants to be challenged by her partner because it makes her better.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  I didn't feel it was her best but it was good.  It lacked body contact and they broke hold a few times.  It was fun though.  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd:
He needs to be confident to impress the judges.  This week he danced the Jive.  This is one of my favorite styles.  I thought it was the best Jive we've seen this season.  It was fun and full of energy.  There was a minor slip but it was still great.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani:
Her partner has given her some challenging choreography.  This week she danced the Salsa.  I really liked it!  It didn't seem too challenging for her at all.  The lifts could've been a little bit cleaner though.  She is really improving a lot.  Her score was 26 out of 30.

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
He is feeling a lot of pressure and the exhaustion is taking a toll on him.  This week he danced the Jive.  It wasn't typical but I liked it.  It wasn't perfect but his personality really shined.  He just made it seem so natural.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
They are both injured but are pushing through it.  This week she danced the Paso Doble.  I LOVED IT!  It had intensity and passion and power.  I just wanted more and more.  You couldn't even tell they had injuries.  She is still perfection.  Her score was 29 out of 30.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
He can't believe he is still in the competition but he is glad he is.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  I thought it was pretty good.  It definitely wasn't perfect but he tries.  He didn't break hold or miss a step so he didn't give up.  His score was 23 out of 30.

Snooki and Sasha Farber:
She's having a hard time juggling dancing and being a mom.  This week she danced the Samba.  I thought she did a great job.  It had a lot of speed but still had control.  She just needs to let go and have fun.  She is too hard on herself.   Her score was 27 out of 30.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
They struggled with choreography and kept changing it.  This week he danced the Cha Cha.  I loved everything about this!  It was technical and still really fun.  I also loved the music!  It was a comeback from last week.  His score was 29 out of 30.

Team Spooky BomBom:
The team captain is Elizabeth.  She chose Leah, Bill, and Snooki.  The dance style is freestyle.  This means there are no rules.  They are the underdogs for sure.  I loved the zombie theme.  Bill was my favorite because he entertained me.  Their score was 27 out of 30.

Team FoxingAwesome:
The team captain is Amber.  She chose Brant, Corbin, and Jack.  The dance style is also freestyle.  They are dancing to What Does The Fox Say.  I'm expecting HUGE things.  I LOVED every second of this dance!  It was AMAZING!  Corbin killed his solo!  Their score was 30 out of 30.

Amber, Corbin, Brant, Jack, Elizabeth, Leah, and Bill are safe.  Snooki is eliminated.  I'm kind of shocked because she has been improving each week.

DWTS Season 17: Switch-Up Challenge

It's week 6!  Only 8 couples are left!  After last weeks shocking elimination anything can  happen.  Tonight's theme is the Switch-Up Challenge.  This means that couples will dance side by side but they won't know the style or music until seconds before.  Another couple will be going home tonight.  The show opened with a big group number.  It was full of energy and lots of fun.  Ariana Grande also performed with Mika.  I'm obsessed with her so I loved it.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
He is working extra hard to stay in the competition.  This week he danced the Tango.  It was not traditional at all.  The music was country which is not typical.  Somehow it actually worked.  Seeing him enjoy himself makes you cheer him on more.  It wasn't perfect but he just has fun.  His score was 23 out of 30.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Valentin Chmerkovskiy:
She wants to show the more sexy side of her personality.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  I actually really liked it.  She has been growing on me.  She did a killer solo that set the tone of the dance.  She really let loose and had fun.  It was sexy but still classy.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  It is the first perfect score this season.

Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani:
After almost going home last week she is working much harder.  This week she danced the Quickstep.  I didn't really love it.  It was classy and elegant but I wanted more.  It was just kind of boring.  The judges loved it though.  At least she improved from last week.  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd:
He needs to step up to make sure people keep voting.  This week he danced the Tango.  I just love him!  It was sharp and clean.  This is the kind of Tango I love.  It was dark and full of intensity.  It had no gimmicks which is how it should be.  His score was 28 out of 30.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
She was upset by her scores last week and is trying extra hard to be better.  This week she danced the Samba.  It was AMAZING!!!!!!  She nailed it!  It was fast and full of energy.  She is just incredible and perfection.  I just love her.  Her score was 28 out of 30.

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
He wants to prove he is a good at Latin dances also.  This week he danced the Paso Doble.  This style just didn't fit his personality.  Paso is all about intensity and anger.  He is always cheerful and happy.  He did the best he could though.  His score was 25 out of 30.

Snooki and Sasha Farber:
She wants to be pushed harder by doing harder choreography.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  I really liked it.  She has improved so much.  It was elegant and fun.  She has definitely matured as a person.  She could actually win.  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
He was very excited because his music was Game Of Thrones.  This week he danced the Viennese Waltz.  I know nothing about Game Of Thrones but I loved it!  It wasn't traditional but that is what made it so awesome.  It was dark and passionate yet also beautiful.  I wanted more!  His score was 23 out of 30.

Switch-Up Challenge:
4 couples will be dancing on floor at the same time.  Randomly the music will switch so it will be impromptu.  Based on when you are tapped out will determine how many points they will get.

Round 1:
Jack: 2 extra points
Corbin: 4 extra points
Snooki: 3 extra points
Bill: 1 extra point

Round 2:
Brant: 3 extra points
Amber: 4 extra points
Elizabeth: 2 extra points
Leah: 1 extra point

Elimination:
Elizabeth, Amber, Brant, Leah, Corbin, Snooki, Jack, and Bill are safe.  Nobody is going home!  Keep voting for your favorites though!

DWTS Season 17: Most Memorable Year

It's week 5 already!  This week all the celebrities are remembering their favorite years of their lives.  I always love when they do this because it helps us learn more about them.  This week all the judges are back.  Tonight another celebrity will be going home.  I have no idea who it will be because the bad ones are gone.

Christina Milian and Mark Ballas:
Her most memorable year was 2010 because she had her daughter and got divorced.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  I really liked it.  She had so much fun and personality.  It was so much of an improvement from her other dances.  Her score was 28 out of 30.

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
His most memorable year was 2012 because his daughter was born but he also got diagnosed with MS.  This week he danced the Waltz.  I thought it was beautiful.  It was so graceful and romantic.  He dedicated it to his wife and you could feel the love.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani:
Her most memorable year was 2013 because she left Scientology.  This week she danced Contemporary.  I loved the concept of taking control of her life.  It just felt too choppy.  It had way to many lifts.  I just wanted more dancing.  Her score was 22 out of 30.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
His most memorable year was 2011 because his sister got diagnosed with scoliosis.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  I loved this danced!  It was just so beautiful!  I loved how it was modern yet classy.  I just wish it had never ended.  His score was 28 out of 30.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
His most memorable year was 1982 because he married his wife.  This week he danced the Viennese Waltz.  This dance was so sweet.  It wasn't perfect but it was heartfelt.  It was very romantic also.  He needs to work more on his arms and timing though.  His score was 24 out 30.

Snooki and Sasha Farber:
Her most memorable year was 2012 when she had her son.  This week she danced Jazz.  I really loved this dance!  It was so much fun!  It was very clean and neat.  She just looked so natural.  She has really changed since becoming a mom and she really portrayed that.  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd:
His most memorable year was 2009 because his dad passed away and got his first acting job.  This week he danced Contemporary. I got chills watching this dance.  It was so passionate.  You could just feel every emotion he felt.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
Her most memorable year was 2009 because she got cast on Glee.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  I just love her!  It was AMAZING!  She makes everything look flawless.  Her dancing and personality shine each week.  Her score was 26 out of 30.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Valentin Chmerkovskiy:
Her most memorable year was 2012 when her son was born.  This week she danced the Jive.  I'm starting to like her more.  It payed tribute to Saved By The Bell which I love.  It lost energy toward the end but it was still good.  Her score was 26 out of 30.

Corbin, Amber, Bill, Jack, Brant, Snooki, Elizabeth, and Leah are safe.  Christina is eliminated.  I'm shocked because she has been improving weekly.

DWTS Season 17: Julianne Hough Is Back?

Welcome to week 4!  Tonight Julianne Hough is back!  Sadly she is just judging and not dancing.  I wish she would come back to the show because I just love her.  The show kicked off with a big group number.  It was amazing as always.  Another celebrity will be going home tonight.  Tell me your favorites in the comments!

Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke:
He had a few struggles during rehearsals with his partner.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  He improved a lot from last week.  He's much stronger at ballroom than latin.  He seemed to be very focused and needed more expression.  I love watching him.  His score was 24 out of 30.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Valentin Chmerkovskiy:
She gets weird and distracted during her rehearsals.  This week she danced the Argentine Tango.  This is one of my favorite dance styles.  For once I actually liked her dance.  It had passion and control.  She definitely impressed me this week.  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd:
Due to previous injury's he had a lot of stress during rehearsals.  This week he danced the Salsa.  I LOVED him!  I thought it was so fun and entertaining.  It wasn't perfect but I still enjoyed the dance.  Plus he got shirtless.  His score was 21 out of 30.

Valerie Harper and Tristan MacManus:
She wants to improve from last week and she won't quit.  This week she danced the Viennese Waltz.  It started out good but then it took a turn.  I thought she did the best for her ability.  I think so brave and courageous.  Her score was 18 out of 30.

Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani:
Her partner is pushing her harder to be better.  This week she danced the Cha Cha.  I really like her!  It had attitude and sexiness.  It could've been sharper but she is getting better.  Her scores may not be improving but her confidence.  Her score was 24 out of 30.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff:
He wants to but pushed out of his comfort zone.  This week he danced the Paso Doble.  It was pretty much perfection.  They kept it traditional with no gimmicks which was nice.  It needed just a tiny but more push to be perfect.  He's amazing though.  His score was 27 out of 30.

Snooki and Sasha Farber:
She was sick and had a hard time during rehearsals.  This week she danced the Jive.  I really liked it and the theme was so cute.  It was a cheerleader theme.  It fit her personality and was so fun.  He kicks needed to be a lot sharper though.  Her score was 24 out of 30.

Christina Milian and Mark Ballas:
She is worried about not having enough people voting.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  I thought she did excellent.  It was very sultry and intense.  I was hoping to see her fun side.  Hopefully next week she can show that.  Her score was 24 out of 30.

Amber Riley and Derek Hough:
She has a knee injury and couldn't really rehearse a lot.  This week she danced the Tango.  It was AMAZING!  It was the best of the night!  It was pure passion.  It was very clean and sharp.  I honestly couldn't tell she was hurt.  I wish it never ended!  Her score was 27 out of 30.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater:
He really has a great connection with his partner.  This week he danced the Samba.  It was so much fun!  He actually has a good rhythm.  I'm glad his partner doesn't give him simple moves.  She at least challenges him.  I really enjoy him.  His score was 21 out of 30.

Bill, Elizabeth, Leah, Corbin, Amber, Jack, Christina, Snooki, and Brant are all safe.  Valerie is eliminated.  I wasn't too surprised.  I respect her so much though.
