DWTS All Star: First Celebrity Eliminated

Tonight was the first elimination show of this season.  One celebrity must exit the ballroom after one night of dancing.  The show started with why the stars decided why to join the All Star cast.  Bristol Palin got a lot of heat the last time.  She's back to prove she can do it and for more confidence.  Kelly Monaco was the season 1 champion.  She came back because she missed being a part of it.  Pamela Anderson is back because she loves to perform and wants to be a better dancer.  She wants to end up on Broadway but I don't see that happening though.  Joey Fatone is back because he got 2nd place and wants to be a better performer.  Drew Lachey won season 2.  He's back because it's fun and a new challenge.  Apolo Ohno is back because he just loves to compete.  Helio Castroneves is back to dance for his little girl.  Plus he just wants to have fun.  Melissa Rycroft is back because it was one of the best experiences of her life.  She is also at a different time in her life and ready to be back.  Gilles Marini is back to prove that he can win.  The judges voted on which dance from last night that they wanted to see again.  They chose Emmett Smith's Cha Cha.  I knew they'd pick him.  It was one of my favorites so I was glad.  Emmett Smith is back because he wanted to be part of the first ever All Star cast.  Shawn Johnson is back for the personal challenge.  Sabrina Bryan is back for redemption.  Kirstie Alley is back because has always wanted to be a dancer and now is her chance.  Now the live results start.  The pros kicked off the show with a dance.  They danced to Whitney Houston's Dance With Somebody and Dance Again by Jennifer Lopez.  I loved it!  It was very fun and energetic.  Shawn, Apolo, and Joey are all safe.  Bristol is the first celebrity in danger.  I love Bristol and I'd hate to see her leave so soon.  Pitbull performed his new single called Don't Stop The Party.  I really liked it.  Neon lights were flashing and a light up robot appeared.  It was a great performance.  Helio and Kelly are safe.  Drew is in danger.  I'm honestly shocked. He did amazing last night.  The troupe performed a dance next.  It had a oldies club setting which I loved.  I usually don't like the troupe but I enjoyed this dance.  Emmett, Gilles, and Sabrina are safe.  Justin Bieber was up next!  He performed As Long As You Love Me.  Of course I loved it!  His dancing was amazing and at the end the dancers formed a heart around him.  Kirstie and Melissa are safe.  The final couple in danger is Pamela.  Is anybody really surprised?  I know I'm not.  The celebrities in danger are Bristol, Drew, and Pamela.  The first All Star celebrity eliminated is Pamela Anderson.  I'm very happy.  I can't watch her dancing again,

DWTS All Star: It's Finally Here!!!

I am a HUGE Dancing With The Stars fan.  I've never missed a season.  When I heard this season would be All Star, I was super excited.  This means 13 past celebrities are back!!!  Of course for this season had I had very high standards and it didn't let me down. It's my favorite season so far!  Since these stars have all danced before the judging has been adjusted.  The judges can now give half points.  Those half points could make big difference.

Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson:
I'm totally Team Fatone!! He deserved to win his season but came in 2nd place. He still has it though. Tonight he danced the Cha Cha. It was really good. I just love watching him dance. His score was 20.5 out of 30.

Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough:
I adore Shawn Johnson. I was sad she had to retire from gymnastics. Derek is one of my favorite pros so I knew her dance would be awesome. She danced a Foxtrot. I loved it! It was fun and young which I liked. Her score was 22 out of 30.

Sabrina Bryan and Louis van Amstel:
I'm so glad Sabrina Bryan was voted back by the fans. She was the best dancer on her season but was voted off way early because nobody voted. She danced the Cha Cha. It was really good. Plus they danced to What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. Her score was 22.5 out of 30.

Helio Castroneves and Chelsie Hightower:
I liked Helio during his season but he was never my favorite. He is a great dancer though. He danced the Foxtrot. It was ok. I thought it was too traditional, it needed more excitement. His score was 21.5 out of 30.

Pamela Anderson and Tristan McManus:
Who let Pamela back on this show? I hated her before and nothing has changed. She danced the Cha Cha. It was terrible! She can't dance. Her score was 17 out of 30. It was the lowest of the night.

Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani:
I loved Melissa on her season. She was one of my favorites. She danced the Foxtrot. I loved it a lot. It reminded me of a musical. Her score was 21 out of 30.

Apolo Ohno and Karina Smirnoff:
I'm very happy Apolo is back. He is just sexy. He danced a Cha Cha. It was my favorite dance of the night. It was super fun and I loved the neon outfits. His score was 22 out of 30.

Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd:
Gilles was not my favorite on his season. I just didn't like his dancing. He danced the Foxtrot. I actually enjoyed it. His score was 24

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas:
I am a Bristol fan. I also love her partner Mark too. She danced the Cha Cha. She has really improved. She had much more confidence. Her score was 19.5 out of 30.

Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya:
I love Drew and I'm excited he's back. I voted for him every single week. He danced the Foxtrot. It was so good. It was very modern. His score was 21.5 out of 30.

Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy:
Kelly won the very first season but wasn't very good. She also has never danced half of these dances because her season was only 6 weeks. She danced the Cha Cha. This was one she had never learned. She did a pretty good for he first time. Her score was 21.5 out of 30.

Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy:
I love Kirstie! I really hoped she would win her season. She danced the Foxtrot. I didn't like it. It wasn't her full potential. Her score was 19 out of 30.

Emmett Smith and Cheryl Burke:
Emmett Smith is back! I love watching him dance. He danced the Cha Cha. I loved it! It was very energetic. He's so light on his feet. His score was 24.5 out of 30. It was the highest of the night.

Tomorrow one couple will be eliminated. Who was your favorite? Check back tomorrow to see who goes home. I'll be blogging every episode.

90's Tag!!

I love the 90's!  It was an awesome decade.  I was born in 89 so I grew up in the 90's.  I hope you guys will do this tag too!  If you want me to do any other tags then leave them in the comments.

1. NSYNC or Backstreet Boys?
This is a really hard question!  I actually loved both.  If I have to choose one I'd pick Backstreet Boys.  I had posters all over my room.  I even had them on one of my birthday cakes.  I still own every CD.

2. Britney or Christina?
I love Britney.  I liked her style much better than Christina.  Plus, Britney dated Justin Timberlake and I loved them together.

3. What was your favorite Nickelodeon cartoon of the 90s?
I really didn't watch a lot of TV as a kid.  We were always outside.  Of course I loved Rugrats.  I really loved Hey Arnold though.  I also watched Wild Thornberrys all the time.

4. What was your favorite Nickelodeon game show of the 90s?
I love game shows!  I'd love to be one someday.  I was obsessed with the game show Legends Of The Hidden Temple.  My older sister and I never missed an episode.

5. Which had better TV shows: SNICK or TGIF?
I liked TGIF better.  It had Boy Meets World.  I still love that show.

6. How many Beanie Babies did you own and which were your favorites?
I wasn't a crazy beanie babies collector.  We probably had 10 total.  I liked the frog the best.

7. Did you own a virtual pet (Giga Pet, Tamogatchi, etc.)?
Yes!!!  I had many Giga Pets and a few Nano Babies.  I have no idea why everybody loved them so much.  My mom got so mad at me because I hooked them all on my backpack and got in trouble for playing with them in class.  My favorite was the Koala.

8. What was your favorite video game system and your favorite game for it?
We only owned two gaming systems.  The first was a Gameboy.  My sister and I shared games but mine was Kirby.  We also had a Super Nintendo.  I was obsessed with Donkey Kong.

9. What was the best Disney movie of the 90s?
I'd say Toy Story because it was the first movie I ever saw in theaters.  I'm not sure that's Disney though.  I liked weird Disney movies like The Hunchback of Notre Dame or Tarzan.

10. Which world event affected you the most in the 90s?
I'd say Y2K.  Everybody thought the world was gonna end.  I still remember what I was doing.  I was watching a movie with my mom and all the sudden I saw a flash outside.  Of course I was freaked out but it turned out to be a firecracker.

Music Friday: It's Time

One of my favorite TV shows is Glee.  I was worried this season wouldn't be as good since most of the cast is gone.  Last week's premiere was just as good though.  Not only do I love the show, I also discover new music from it.  This week's share is one of them.  I've been replaying it all week.  The song is called It's Time by Imagine Dragons.  I'm obsessed with both the original and Glee version.  Which version do you like better?  I honestly can't choose.  If any of you are big One Direction fans then check out the post before this one.  Their newest single Live While Were Young was released yesterday.  All of you should follow my blog because I have many things coming up for you guys.  Starting Monday I'll be recapping Dancing With The Stars.  Also, once The X-Factor starts the live shows I'll be recapping that too.  If you want me to recap any other shows let me know.  Have a great Friday!!!!!!!!

Live While Were Young By One Direction

OMG you guys!!!!  Today started out to be a horrible day.  I checked my email about an hour ago and my day was instantly better.  One Direction released their video for Live While Were Young!!!!  It is the first time we get to hear it and I wasn't disappointed.  It has a different sound then What Makes You Beautiful but it's still very catchy.  I'm in love with the video!  I've probably watched it 50 times already.  I can't wait for the album now.  I've preordered it so be looking for a full review.  What do you guys think of the new 1D song?  Do you love it or hate it?

Pumpkin Cheesecake

If you follow my blog than you know I love baking. I've never posted a cooking blog post though. One of my favorite things to eat especially during this time of year. I've been addicted to Pumpkin Cheesecake for a couple of years now. I'm going to share my favorite recipe with all of you. It's actually a Betty Crocker recipe. If you guys enjoy this type of post then leave me a comment. Also let me know if you make this.

This recipe takes about 20 min. prep time.  Total time is 8 hours and 45 min.  It serves 16.  If you prefer more of the pumpkin pie spice flavor, feel free to add more.  It really depends on what you like.  To make this for somebody who is diabetic use sugar substitute such as Splenda.

Ingredients:

Crust:
1 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 24 squares)
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

Filling:
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
2 tablespoons brandy, if desired
1 can (15 oz) pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
4 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup granulated sugar
5 eggs

Steps:
1.  Heat oven to 325°F. Grease 9-inch springform pan with shortening. In small bowl, mix cracker crumbs, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and the melted butter. Press crumb mixture in bottom of pan. Wrap foil around outside of pan to prevent drips. Bake crust 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool 5 minutes at room temperature. Refrigerate about 5 minutes or until completely cooled.

2.  Meanwhile, in another small bowl, mix flour, pumpkin pie spice, brandy and pumpkin; set aside. In large bowl, beat cream cheese with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Gradually beat in brown sugar and 2/3 cup granulated sugar until smooth. On low speed, beat in 1 egg at a time just until blended. Gradually beat in pumpkin mixture until smooth.

3.  Pour filling over crust. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 25 minutes or until set but center of cheesecake still jiggles slightly when moved. Turn oven off; open oven door at least 4 inches. Let cheesecake remain in oven 30 minutes.

4.  Run knife around edge of pan to loosen cheesecake. Cool in pan on wire rack 30 minutes. Refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight before serving.

5.  To serve, run knife around edge of pan to loosen cheesecake. Carefully remove side of pan before cutting cheesecake. Store covered in refrigerator.

Finding Nemo: 3D Or Not?

I may be 23 but I still love animated movies.  Tonight I went and saw Finding Nemo in 3D.  I absolutely adore this movie.  It's so cute and funny and a great story.  I've only seen 2 movies in 3D before so I was excited.  The theater was over half full and had a variety of people.  Of course parents had brought their children but many teenagers and people around my age were there also.  I brought my mom with me.  I had planned on bringing my oldest niece but I didn't think she could sit still for 2 hours.  Overall I couldn't really tell much difference from the original.  Certain parts were really awesome in 3D such as the jelly fish scene or when the whale shoots them out.  Luckily I had a free ticket so I didn't lose any money.  Let me know your thoughts.

Music Friday: Wanted

Lately I have been obsessed with country music.  Today's share is by my new favorite artist.  It is Wanted by Hunter Hayes.  I am so in love with him.  He reminds me of the guy version on Taylor Swift mostly because some of his songs are country pop like hers.  I just bought his album yesterday and I'm addicted already.  Let me know if you what me to review the album.  What did you think of the song?  Enjoy your weekend!

Fall Favorites

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. Living in Nebraska we are already experiencing fall weather. So I decided to do a Fall favorites blog. What are your fall favorites?  Let me know! Follow and leave a comment if you like my blog.

Pumpkin is my favorite scent for fall.  This Pumpkin Cupcake candle from Bath & Body Works is perfect.  Most pumpkin scents can smell too spicy but this is perfect.  It is the perfect amount of sweetness and your room smells like an actual bakery.

I tend to wear darker nail polishes during this time of year.  Most people go for dark reds but I prefer dark greens or purples.  This is from Essie's latest collection stylenomics.  This color is called stylenomics.  It's a rich dark green and perfect for fall.

Crocheted scarfs are really in this season.  This scarf from Forever 21 is my favorite.  I chose this color so it can go with any outfit.  It is the best accessory.

I'm addicted to Uggs!  I wait all summer to be able to wear them again.  Boots are my choice shoe for the fall time.  Uggs can literally go with anything.  From jeans and a hoodie or a dress with leggings.

I'm loving the colored skinny jean trend right now.  I just can't stop buying them.  It's perfect for fall because they literally have every color.  You can get them at pretty much every store.

Hot chocolate is my all time favorite fall drink.  I could drink it all day every day.  My favorite thing to do is grab a cute mug filled with hot chocolate and read a book.

2012 Video Music Awards!!!!

Tonight was the 2012 VMA's and I was so excited!!!!!!  I watch every year and this year was a great show.  Rihanna opened the show with a medley of her songs.  I'm not a huge fan of her so I didn't like it at all.  Kevin Hart was this years host.  He is so funny and had a great opening monologue.  He talked about the Drake and Chris Brown fight, Snooki's baby, and Kristen Stewart cheating.  The first award of the night was Best Pop Video.  One Direction wins for What Makes You Beautiful!!  They even beat out Justin Bieber.  I'm honestly so proud of them.  Pink performed her latest single Blow Me (One Last Kiss).  It was kind of weird. Giant lips were shooting confetti everywhere.  I do love Pink though.  Best Male Video was the next award and Chris Brown won for Turn Up The Music.  I'm a fan but I really wanted Bieber to win.  The next performance was Frank Ocean singing Thinking About You.  I absolutely hated it.  It was way too slow for the VMA's in my opinion.  Drake won Best Hip Hop Video for HYFR.  I'm in love with Drake so I'm glad he won.  One Direction takes the stage for their first ever VMA performance.  I was secretly hoping they would sing their new single Live While We're Young but I figured they'd sing What Makes You Beautiful.  They actually sang One Thing and I loved every moment.  Best Female Video went to Nicki Minaj for Starships.  Can I just say what was she wearing?  2 Chainz and Lil Wayne performed next.  I have no clue what song because most of it was bleeped.  Why would you sing a song that needs every other word bleeped?  Kevin Hart came out doing the Gangnam Style dance with South Korean rapper PSY.  If you have no idea what it is Youtube it.  It's interesting.  Green Day performed next and it was a crazy mess.  Fans surrounded them and you could barely see them.  Best New Artist goes to.......ONE DIRECTION!!!  Alicia Keys sang her new song Girl On Fire.  It featured Nicki Minaj and US Gymnast Gabby Douglas cartwheeling across the stage.  I liked the song a lot.  Video Of The Year goes to Rihanna for We Found Love.  I love that song and it's been stuck in my head all night now.  Taylor Swift closed the show with We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.  I loved it!  The outfit was so cute, I don't think I've ever seen her in shorts.  It was a great way to end the night.  What were your favorite moments?  Tell me in the comments.

Date Night: Outdoor Concert

Untitled #12

On Friday night I'm going to an outdoor concert in a park with my sister.  I thought I would put together an outfit idea for you guys.  Just in case you have a date and have no idea what you should wear.  I prefer dressing up for concerts.  It takes me and my sister forever to get ready to go out together because we get distracted easily.  Wearing a dressy shirt and a pair of jeans is perfect for any concert.  Especially an outdoor concert during this time of year.  In September it starts to get quiet chilly at night so shorts wouldn't be ideal.  Be sure to bring a light jacket or sweater in case you start to get cold.  If you don't want to wear heels, go for a comfortable pair of flats because you may be standing for a long period of time.  Don't bring a big bulky purse/bag.  Concerts tend to get very crowded and things could easily get stolen.  I recommend a cross body purse so you will know where all your stuff is at all times.  Accessories are up to your personal preference.  I only wear 2-3 different accessories.  Definitely don't over do it though.  For make up, a natural look would be the best option.  You should only need to wear eye shadow, mascara, and a little blush.  Don't go to heavy or dark.  Hair is also your choice.  If it is going to be a hot night, do a fishtail braid or a sock bun.  If you want to wear it down, you could curl it and add a headband.  I hope you guys like this kind of post.  If you want me to do more outfit ideas, let me know and also tell me what date outfit ideas you want me to do.

The 2012 Video Music Awards are only 4 days away!!!!  I'm so excited because it is honestly one of my favorite award shows.  I've been watching since I was 8 or 9.  Since the VMA's are coming up in a few days, I decided I'd do my top 10 favorite past performances.  I will be blogging all about this years VMA's also.  Who are you most excited to see this year?  The 2012 VMA's are September 6 on MTV.

10.  I'm A Slave 4 U by Britney Spears

This performance was considered "racy" back in 2001.  I loved it though.  I thought it was cool with the whole jungle theme.  Plus she dances with a live boa snake.  I'd never do that.

9.  This I Promise You/Bye Bye Bye/It's Gonna Be Me by *NSYNC

*NSYNC was my boy band obsession.  Although they performed many times on the VMA's this was my favorite by far.  Using the TV screens was so cool and really creative.  In 2000 our technology wasn't anywhere near what we have now so it was awesome to us.

8.  You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift

Right before this performance Kayne West had ruined her first ever VMA win.  Nothing could stop her though and she nailed it.  I love her because everything she does is for the fans.

7.  Real Slim Shady/Way I Am by Eminem

Eminem is genius no matter what he does.  I loved how hundreds of people dressed exactly like him.  This stood out to me most for that reason.  I would call this performance iconic for the VMA's.

6.  Like I Love You by Justin Timberlake

JT had finally went solo!  I loved the song, the dancing, pretty much everything about it.  Most say he was trying to be like Michael Jackson but I didn't feel that way.

5.  Wall To Wall/Kiss Kiss by Chris Brown

Chris Brown is an amazing dancer.  The 2007 VMA's were in Miami so it had a different setup than usual.  Hopping over people to dance on tables was awesome and unexpected.

4.  Confessions/Yeah by Usher

Usher killed this performance.  I love both songs.  Singing under rain was something I hadn't seen on stage before.  Plus his shirt comes off!

3. Tilt Ya Head Back by Nelly and Christina Aguilera

I love how it had a flapper theme to it.  Plus Christina looked and sounded amazing.  You would think they wouldn't sound right together but they did.

2.  Baby/Somebody To Love by Justin Bieber

For his first ever VMA performance he did amazing.  I just have Bieber Fever!

1.  Paparazzi by Lady Gaga

Only one word can describe this.  EPIC
