♥May Favorites♥

It's that time again!  At the end of every month I share my favorites with you guys!  I'm just glad it finally turned spring where I live.  I thought it would be freezing forever!  May has been a really great month.  I feel like this year is just flying by though.  Make you sure you tell me your favorites in the comments.

Music:

The first song I'm loving is We Are Who We Are by Little Mix.  This album just came out here in America a few days ago.  The whole thing is amazing!  This song is my favorite though.  I love the whole message of being who you are.  It's so encouraging for all young people who feel the need to change.  You deserve to just be you.

The next song is Chloe (You're the One I Want) by Emblem3.  This may surprise if you follow me on Twitter.  They were from season 2 of The X-Factor here in America.  I was not a fan but they are so much better now.  They just needed to develop their sound.  This song is very catchy.

The last song is Fall by Justin Bieber.  I've listened to this song every single day.  It is such a cute song plus I'm in love with him.  I have serious Bieber Fever.  I see him live in July so be prepared to hear all about it!  I hope I meet him!

TV Shows:

Most TV shows are over now because it's summer now.  There's always one show I can count on though.  It is So You Think You Can Dance.  I'm obsessed with anything dance so I love this show.  It focuses on all styles of dance which is always really cool.  Not all the contestants are trained dancers either.  The choreography can be so meaningful depending on what is being portrayed.  I've cried a few times.  I'm so glad it's back.

Movie:

I could not wait until Silver Linings Playbook to come out on DVD.  I had read the book so I knew a little bit about it already.  I loved this film so much!  Bradley Cooper did a very good job.  Jennifer Lawrence was amazing as usual.  I've never seen a movie that is like this.  I recommend it.

Random:
I listen to music every single day.  Lately I've been addicted to Pandora.  I love how you can customize what you want to hear.  They have all genres too!  I've been playing 90's country and 50's pop.  They do have preset stations too.  You are sure to find something to fit your mood.

YouTuber:
This month I found myself watching every video this person posted.  That person is Missglamorazzi.  I just love her videos.  This month she did a series called Makeup Mayhem where she posted a video every other day for the whole month.  I actually don't wear much makeup but I do like her tips.  My favorite video was called Me Without Makeup.  I'm extremely shy and that video really inspired me.  I wish she was one of my friends.

Trend:
The other day I went shopping with my younger sister.  I'm obsessed with the graphic shirt trend.  I love how you can make a statement just by wearing a shirt.  I'm all about making statements.  They are really fashionable too.  It really lets people know your personality also.

Book:

Since school is out for summer I've been reading a lot more.  The book Truth Or Dare by Jacqueline Green is a must read.  If you like the Pretty Little Liar series then you'll love this book.  It focuses on 3 girls who each have secrets of their own.  In order to keep the secrets a secret, they must do whatever the darer tells them.  It has a lot of suspense and drama.

Quote:

This month I realized that you should be proud of who you are.  It doesn't matter if you fail or didn't meet your expectation at least you tried.  If you never even take a chance then how can you become better.  Taking chances means taking risks and if you fail try again.  Always enjoy what you do though.

Moment:
I've really enjoyed this month.  My favorite part was surprising my mom at her work for her birthday.  I took her an edible arrangement and then we had lunch together.  It's the little things in life that mean the most.  It's moments like that that you'll remember forever.

Music Friday: Love Somebody

Happy Friday!  May is already over!  I can't believe it.  My May favorites will be up later today.  Right now it's time for today's music share.  It is Love Somebody by Maroon 5.  This is one of my favorite songs right now.  I'm obsessed!  I turn it up the volume every time it comes on.  Plus the video features Adam Levine shirtless.  Who doesn't love that?  Enjoy!

Jerica's Chatter: Justin Bieber

Hey guys!  I love following celebrity news and I always have an opinion about pretty much everything.  So I decided to start this new series called Jerica's Chatter.  Let me know how often you want me to post and what topics I should talk about.  Today's topic is Justin Bieber.  The media has been all over him recently for absolutely everything.  Now I've been a Bieber fan from the very beginning and I am still a huge fan.  I was 20 when I first saw his video for One Time and I was instantly hooked.  I'm now almost 24 and I'm so confused why the entire world picks on him.  A lot of parents viewed him as a role model for their children but guess what he is just a child too.  When I was growing up I idolized Britney Spears.  When she started becoming "risky" my mom made sure I knew what was right and wrong.  I still bought her music but I knew my morals.  Justin Bieber has so much pressure on him and it isn't fair.  People are constantly just waiting for him to make a mistake.  Everything he is doing right now is just a part of growing up.  When I was 19 I did stupid things too.  Nobody is perfect no matter how hard they try.  You should respect the music and all he does for different charities around the world.  We teach kids not to bully people but that is exactly what is happening to Bieber right now.  Just let him be a kid and create good music.  There are much bigger problems in the world to worry about.

DWTS Season 16: And The Winner Is...

The show started off with a dance number featuring all the pros and celebrities from this season.  America chose Kellie's Freestyle as the encore.  She actually messed up but it was still beautiful.  Aly is eliminated.  I was honestly shocked.  The female pros plus Aly, Zendaya, and Kellie all performed and I loved it!  Wynonna Judd performed I Wanna Know What Love Is.  Lisa Vanderpump danced a Foxtrot.  Dorothy Hamill danced a Viennese Waltz which featured Kristi Yamguchi.  It was beautiful. Andy Dick performed a Jazz routine.  I just love him.  Psy performed his newest single Gentleman.  It isn't as amazing as Gangnam Style but I still really like it.  The troupe performed a dance number.  It was really good.  Pitbull performed his latest single Hand's Up.  I always love his music.  The final 3 will perform one more round of dancing.  It is the Instant Dance round.  Jacoby danced the Salsa.  It was good but not my favorite.  His score was 30 out of 30.  That was generous.  Kellie danced the Jive.  I loved it!  She's just amazing.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  Zendaya danced the Jive.  It was very cute.  I loved it.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  Jessica Sanchez performed Feel This Moment.  Now it's result time.  In 3rd place is Jacoby.  In 2nd place is Zendaya.  Kellie won!!!!!  I am so happy!

DWTS Season 16: IT'S THE FINALS!!!!!!

Can you believe it's almost over already?  It went too fast.  Tonight the couples will perform 3 dances.  First up is judges choice.  Then they will do the Cha Cha relay.  Finally they will perform a freestyle which is always my favorite.  The winner is usually based on who has the best freestyle.  I'm hoping Aly or Kellie win.  America can choose the encore freestyle on Twitter.  Tomorrow night a winner will be chosen.

Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff:
He stayed in the middle of the pack but is ready to break out.  The judges chose the Jive for him because his footwork needed improvement.  I wasn't a fan.  His feet didn't look any better.  I personally don't think he should've been in the finals.  His score was 27 out of 30. The Cha Cha relay was next.  Based on which place the celebrities got depended on how many points they got.  He got 4th place and got 2 extra points.  It's finally Freestyle time.  It didn't blow me away.  He seemed to be ahead at times though.  I did really like the step team.  His score was 27 out of 30.  This makes his total for the night 56.

Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas:
She has been improving every single week and hopes to win it all.  The judges chose the Samba for her because it gives her a chance to break out of her shell.  I loved it!  It was fun and energetic plus it was sexy.  She has grown so much.  She deserves to win.  Her score was 28 out of 30.  The Cha Cha relay was next.  Based on which place the celebrities got depended on how many points they got.  She got 3rd place and got 3 extra points.  It's finally Freestyle time.  I loved everything about it!  The costumes, the music, and the whole concept.  It was just AMAZING!  Her score was 30 out of 30.  This makes her total for the night 61.

Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough:
Her challenge is to try to stand out.  The judges chose the Quickstep for her because her frame needed improvement.  It was so good!  It took you back to the 1940's.  Every time she dances she is beautiful.  Plus she is just amazing.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  The Cha Cha relay was next.  Based on which place the celebrities got depended on how many points they got.  She got 2nd place and got 4 extra points.  It's finally Freestyle time.  It was beautiful.  I'm actually speechless.  Normally freestyles are high energy but she chose to strip it down.  I loved it.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  This makes her total for the night 64.

Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy:
She used to be at the top but has slowly been slipping.  The judges chose the Samba for her because they wanted her to work on the content.  I liked it much better than last time.  It had lots of content but I still wanted it to be more fun.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  The Cha Cha relay was next.  Based on which place the celebrities got depended on how many points they got.  She got 1st place and got 5 extra points.  It's finally Freestyle time.  I really loved it!  It had many different elements but it worked.  I really liked the kids involvement too.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  This makes her total for the night 65.

Who do you want to win?  Let me know.  Check back tomorrow for the winner!

DWTS Season 16: Meet The Final 4!

It's been 300 episodes since season 1!  The show started with a pro dance and it was so good.  It reminded me of a flash mob.  Jacoby is safe.  The judges chose Kellie's Argentine Tango as the encore.  I just love this dance.  Next a 10 year old who broke the world record for most consecutive spins performed with Chelsie Hightower.  It was really cute.  The Wanted performed Fill A Heart next.  I'm not a fan of them but they did good.  They'll never be better than One Direction though.  Avril Lavigne performed her new single Here's To Never Growing Up.  I love this song so much.  It's my song of the summer.  Kellie is safe.  Zendaya is in danger.  Another dance was performed by the pros next.  I LOVED it!  It was very romantic.  Ingo is in danger.  Aly is safe.  Zendaya is safe meaning Ingo is eliminated.

Come back next Monday for the finals!

DWTS Season 16: It's The Semi-Finals!

It's week 9 and we are in the semi-finals!!!!  I'm so sad this season is almost over already!  The celebrities will be doing two dances.  One dance will be a new dance style.  Last week America chose the dances the celebrities will perform tonight.  Some have never even been done on the show before!  It will be interesting. Finals are next week!

Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough:
She has worked so hard and really wants to make the finals.  Her first dance of the night was the Argentine Tango.  I have one word only for this dance.  Perfection.  I couldn't look away!  It had so much passion and romance and it was just everything I hoped for.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  Her next dance was the Flamenco.  I didn't know much about this dance.  It was AMAZING!  Again I just couldn't look away!  I wish it didn't end.  Her score was 28 out of 30.  This makes her total 58 out of 60.

Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson:
He can't believe he made it this far.  His first dance of the night was the Samba.  It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either.  It needed a lot of work still.  It was very stiff.  It wasn't semi-final worthy for sure.  His score was 24 out of 30.  His next dance was the Charleston.  It was fun.  At least he tries to do good.  There were a few mistakes but much better.  His score was 27 out of 30.  This makes his total 51 out of 60.

Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas:
She has really grown as a person during this show.  Her first dance of the night was the Rumba.  It was breathtaking!  It had so much passion and romance.  I was worried she wouldn't do very good because she is so young.  She surprised me.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  Her next dance was Afro Jazz.  I knew nothing about this dance.  I loved it!  It was so cool and amazing!  I wish I could do that!  Her score was 29 out of 30.  This makes her total 59 out of 60.

Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff:
His partner got injured in rehearsals but was cleared to dance.  His first dance of the night was the Argentine Tango.  I wasn't a huge fan.  It wasn't as clean and precise as it should've been.  He isn't my favorite though.  His score was 30 out of 30.  His next dance was the Lindy Hop.  This is one of my favorite dance styles.  It had so much energy.  I wanted more Lindy moves though.  I still enjoyed it though.  His score was 29 out of 30.  This makes his total 59 out of 60.

Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy:
She brought him into her world this week.  Her first dance of the night was the Quickstep.  It wasn't her best dance.  It was so out of control.  It was messy but I did like the concept.  Hopefully she'll redeem herself.  Her score was 25 out of 30.  Her next dance was Hip Hop.  This was her element.  I really loved it!  It had so much swag which I like.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  This makes her total 55 out of 60.

Come back tomorrow to see who is in the finals!

DWTS Season 16: The Semifinalists Are...

The show started with a performance by the troupe.  I really liked it.  The new troupe is actually pretty good this year.  Ingo is safe.  Kellie is in danger.  The judges chose Zendaya's Salsa trio dance as the encore.  That was my favorite trio of the night so I'm happy.  Zendaya is safe.  Jacoby is in danger.  Jason Derulo performed his newest single The Other Side.  I'm obsessed with this song right now.  He did AMAZING!   Next weeks dances were chosen by America and were reveled next.  Kellie got Flamenco.  Ingo got Charleston.  Zendaya got Hip Hop.  Sean got Disco.  Aly got Afro Jazz.  Jacoby got Lindy Hop.  I love all of these choices.  The Macy's Stars of Dance was next.  I'm speechless.  It was SO awesome!  It was about defying gravity.  Emeli Sande sang her single Next To Me.  She is pretty good.  Aly is safe.  Sean is in danger.  Kellie is safe.  Sean is eliminated.  I honestly am not surprised.

Next week are the Semi-Finals!  Come back Monday!!!

DWTS 16: It's Trio Time

Welcome to Week 8!  Only one week left until the semi finals!  This week the couples will do two dances.  One will be a trio dance featuring another professional.  I love the trio round because it adds another element.  America can choose next week's dance style for each celebrity on Twitter.

Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy:
She was trying to be more competitive.  Her first dance this week was the Foxtrot.  I loved it so much!  It was very young and fresh.  Plus she just has fun.  Her score was 28 out of 30.  Her trio dance was the Salsa.  They chose Gleb Savchenko to join them.  It was SO good!  It was so fun and perfect.  They highlighted her strengths.  Her score was 30 out of 30.  This makes her total 58 out of 60.

Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd:
He feels like he gets better each week.  His first dance this week was the Tango.  It wasn't very good.  It was kind of sloppy.  He needed to be much more aggressive too.  His score was 21 out of 30.  His trio dance was Jazz.  They chose Sharna Burgess to join them.  There were many mistakes.  He kept getting ahead of them.  It had so much potential.  He should be worried.  His score was 21 out of 30.  This makes his total 42 out of 60.

Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff:
He really wants to impress the judges this week.  His first dance this week was Viennese Waltz.  I was very surprised.  It was very elegant and smooth.  His score was 27 out of 30.  His trio dance was the Paso Doble.  They chose Cheryl Burke to join them.  I didn't love it.  I wanted more passion and anger .  I think I would've liked it better with another male.  His score was 25 out of 30.  This makes his total 52 out of 60.

Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson:
He almost got eliminated last week.  His first dance this week was the Foxtrot.  I thought he did pretty good.  I really liked how classy it was but still young.   His score was 24 out of 30.  His trio dance was the Jive.  They chose Lindsay Arnold to join them.  I really enjoyed it.  It wasn't perfect but it was very fun.  His score was 24 out of 30.  This makes his total 48 out of 60.

Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough:
She wanted to show more emotion in her dance.  Her first dance this week was the Viennese Waltz.  It was beautiful.  I actually got chills.  It was dedicated to her grandma who passed away.  I didn't want it to end.  Her score was 28 out of 30.  Her trio dance was the Paso Doble.  They chose Tristan MacManus to join them.  I am speechless.  It was flawless!!!!!  I couldn't look away and I wish it hadn't ended.  Her score was 27 out of 30.  This makes her total 55 out of 60.

Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas:
She had to focus on her acting skills this week.  Her first dance this week was the Argentine Tango.  It was amazing!  I wish it had less lifts though.  It was over too quickly.  Her score was 29 out of 30.  Her trio dance was the Jive.  They chose Henry Byalikov to join them.  I LOVED it!  It was kind of jazzy which I really liked.  Her score was 27 out of 30.  This makes her total 56 out of 60.

Check back tomorrow to see who goes home!
