My 1989 Tour Experience!

I am a HUGE fan of Taylor Swift!  I've been a loyal fan since the very beginning.  So when I saw that she was coming to Omaha I obviously had to get tickets.  I've never missed a tour of hers EVER!  I wish I was going back tonight!  I was VERY excited for this tour because 1989 is my favorite album yet.  Also, I was born in 1989 too, so Taylor and I are basically besties right?

Her show opener was Vance Joy.  I'm not gonna lie I found it very boring.  He sang maybe 5 songs and each one was about 10 minutes long.  It did not get me pumped up for Taylor.  I actually wanted a nap instead.  So I left to wait in line for a t-shirt instead.

It was finally time for the show!!!!!  Attached to each chair was a synchronized light up bracelet.  It was programmed to light up with her music.  I loved the idea but I'm sad it doesn't work now.  If you've never been to a Taylor Swift show before then you are missing out!  It is unlike anything you'll ever experience.  You just get lost in another world.  This was no different!

It started off in a New York theme based on her song Welcome To New York.  The dancers were phenomenal!  My favorite number was How You Get The Girl because the umbrella routine was SO cool.  I did like her version of Love Story and I Knew You Were Trouble.  I didn't really love We Are Never Getting Back Together.  It was too rock for me.  I did like that she sang Fifteen because That is one of my favorites.  There was no celebrity guest though.  I had a blast at the show and I wish I was back already!  Have you been to the 1989 tour?  Let me know your favorite parts!

My On The Road Again Tour Experience

On Tuesday night I traveled 3 hours to go see One Direction!!!!!!  I saw them 2 years ago and it was even better this time!  Opening the show was Icona Pop.  I missed most of their set because of traffic and I was buying a t-shirt.  What I did see of their set was pretty good.  Of course they ended their set singing my jam I Love It.  This got the crowd super pumped!

Next up were the boys!  It took at least an hour or more before they took the stage after Icona Pop.  It was totally worth it though!  I was really interested to see if it would be different without Zayn but I honestly didn't even notice.  I think they sounded even better!  This was my first ever stadium show and it didn't disappoint!!!  It was 100 degrees outside but nobody minded!  The crowd and show were just AMAZING!

They sang SO many songs!  I love how there was a variety of songs from all of their albums.  My favorites were 18, Where Do Broken Hearts Go, and Little Things.  Harry stole the show with all his speeches.  I'm in love!  The best part of the night was when Louis and Liam got into a water fight that turned into a powerade fight.  It was just the best!  I missed it on my camera but I'll put the YouTube video below.  Overall, I'm SUPER sad it's over now.  Hopefully I'll see them again soon!  Have you guys been to a show?  Let me know what you thought!

♥My Road Trip Essentials♥

Hey guys!  I'm going on a road trip TOMORROW!!!!!!  I'm going to see One Direction in Kansas City.  I've been really excited about this concert for awhile now.  Even though I'm only going 2-3 hours away there are still things I must have with me.  I thought I would share my road trip essentials.  If you have any suggestions of things I missed be sure to let me know!

Energy Drink:

We could all use more energy especially on road trips.  My favorite is Red Bull.  It makes me very hyper but that's a good thing.  This is a must if you are with friends because you don't want to miss any moments.  Also if you are trying to drive 7-8 hours without stopping then definitely drink this.

Comfy Clothes:

I hate being uncomfortable especially in the car.  There typically isn't a lot of room so be sure to choose your most comfortable outfit.  I usually wear a dress or something loose fitting.  It just makes life SO much easier!

Snuggie:

This the best invention ever!  I have at least 4 different snuggies and I'm obsessed!  My favorite is the peace sign one.  I am always cold so this perfect for the car.  You can just put this on and you can stay warm.  It doesn't take up a lot of room either.

Playlist:

Having a good playlist is essential to every good road trip!  Every time I go on a road trip I make a list of songs I'm loving.  I like to choose upbeat songs because slow songs always make me sleepy.  I like songs I can just sing at the top of my lungs!  A must have song for me is the Macarena.  It's just the best song!

GPS:

I am terrible at directions so I need a GPS.  It's perfect because if you make a wrong turn it will recalculate for you.  I don't know how people survived without them!

Cooler:

I always bring a cooler with us.  It really does come in handy plus it saves you a lot of money.  You can pack drinks, snacks, or even sandwiches so you don't have to buy fast food.  Just fill it with ice before you leave and it will last awhile.  You can just refill it before you leave your hotel too.  It's perfect!

Snacks:

Snacks are always a must.  I always get hungry in the car especially on long rides.  I like to buy snack packs like fruit snacks.  It helps you not to over eat and feel sick.  I've also bought chip packs, candy bars, and cheese sticks.  There will be plenty of options which I like!

Camera:

I love taking pictures of everything!  I like using an actual camera.  It is just better quality.  I really just like looking back at the memories.  I'll put some on here as well!

This is my anthem for 2015.  I've already experienced a lot but this year I want to go outside my comfort zone.  I need to stop thinking and just live.  Hopefully I can do everything I've dreamed of doing bug nobody is guaranteed tomorrow.  This video is really inspiring as well because I don't let my disease stop me either.  Favorite lyric: I, I did it all I, I did it all I owned every second That this world could give I saw so many places The things that I did Yeah, with every broken bone I swear I lived

3. Change Your Ticket by One Direction

I still can't stop playing their new album.  My favorite song is always changing but for now it's this one.  It's up beat but still a mature sound.  I'm so glad they are evolving because I can't get enough!  To be honest I'd love anything they did.  I will be seeing them live this summer and I can't wait!  Favorite lyric: Don't play innocent I know what you meant When you said you'd come over Aren't we way past that? Playin' hard to get We did that when we were younger

4. The Hanging Tree by Jennifer Lawrence

If you haven't seen Mockingjay yet then you'll have no clue what it is.  This has been stuck in my head the entire month.  It's SO catchy!  I honestly thought I'd never hear it on the radio.  Somehow they remixed it and I love it.  I am constantly humming it!  Favorite lyric: Are you, are you Coming to the tree? They strung up a man They say who murdered three Strange things did happen here No stranger would it be If we met at midnight In the hanging tree

5. I Wish You Would by Taylor Swift

I couldn't find a working link but trust me it's amazing.  It's by far my favorite song on the album!  I love how the beat changes.  I love the meaning too.  I just think all her lyrics are phenomenal.  She is just amazing!  Go buy 1989 because you won't regret it!  Favorite lyric: I wish you would come back Wish I never hung up the phone like I did I wish you knew that I'll never forget you as long as I live.

I had to check him out because he's opening for Taylor Swift and I had never heard of him.  I love this song!  It really makes me wish summer were here already!  He has such a unique sound too.  This tour will be huge for his career and I can't wait to hear more!  Favorite lyric: Lady, running down to the riptide Taken away to the dark side I wanna be your left hand man I love you when you're singing that song And I got a lump in my throat 'Cause you're gonna sing the words wrong

7. Stuck On A Feeling by Prince Royce feat. Snoop Dogg

This my new jam!  I play it 50 times a day and I never get tired of it!  He must be new because I've never heard of him.  I discovered this song at 3 AM when I couldn't sleep.  This is typically when hear the best stuff.  I'm totally obsessed!!!  Favorite lyric: Ya just can't stop Once ain't enough Better lock this down Better box it up Gotta work me out Make it real Gotta make it count Get stuck on a feeling

8. 3am by Meghan Trainor

Her album has been a favorite this month.  My mom even loves it!  This song is my current favorite.  I just love her sound.  It sounds old school but with a modern twist.  I love that artists can do that because it makes them stand out.  Everybody can relate to her music as well.  Favorite lyric: I can't believe I'm still doing this I told myself a month ago that I'd be through with this I'm looking at my phone, and wondering if you're home I'm kinda tipsy, I ain't tryna sleep alone Somebody told me that some other girl was hugging you Baby, you know I'm the one that should be loving you You know we had a thing, baby, it's such a shame I still get crazy every time I hear your name

FOUR Review!

You guys already know I'm slightly obsessed with One Direction.  By slightly obsessed I mean TOTALLY obsessed so you probably aren't surprised that I'm reviewing their newest album FOUR.  This is their fourth album hence the title.  I LOVE it so much!  Their sound has just evolved so much since the beginning and I'm glad.  Not that I don't love their older music, it's just a lot more mature now instead of typical boyband pop music.  I'm also loving their looks now.  The guys wrote most of the songs on this album which also makes it more personal for us fans.  I bought the ultimate edition which features 4 additional songs.  This is probably my favorite album so far.  It has a good mixture of slow and fast songs.  I'm not typically a fan of slow songs but I just can't resist these boys!  My favorites right now are 18, Night Changes, Change Your Ticket, and Illusion.  My favorite lyrics for each song are below.  I can't wait to see these songs live on their tour.  It's gonna SO much fun!  Did any of you buy the album?  What are your favorite songs?

♥Weekly Obsession♥

Happy Wednesday!  Sorry this post is later than normal.  This weeks obsession is not a new one.  If you follow my Twitter than you'll probably know already.  It is the Backstreet Boys!!!!!!  Last week it was announced that they would be on tour and stopping in my hometown!  This is a huge deal for me.  I've been a fan since I was 7 years old and I've never seen them live.  I'm SUPER pumped!  I'm going to try to buy front row and try to meet them.  I'll keep you posted or just follow my Twitter @jerica_89.  Today's question is what is your favorite BSB song?  Mine is Drowning.

My Neon Lights Tour Experience

It's been awhile since I've done an actual tour review.  Since I promised I'd blog every day I thought I'd do this one.  On Sunday night I went to the Demi Lovato Neon Lights tour.  I actually got tickets from the local radio station.  I'm not a huge Demi fan but I REALLY loved who her opening acts.  They were Fifth Harmony and Little Mix!  If you don't know who they are, then I'll explain.  Fifth Harmony were formed on Season 2 of the US X Factor.  They are still pretty new but I know they'll be huge.  Little Mix won the British X Factor in 2011.  They have AMAZING music.  I wanted to go to this tour because I love the girl power.  It really empowers young girls to see successful women.  Fifth Harmony sang first and did really good.  They sang one cover and the rest were their songs.  One thing I've never seen at other concerts was between each act there was a magician named Collin Keys.  He was awesome and now I'm slightly obsessed.  I loved his tricks.  Next up was Little Mix.  They were just incredible as I knew they would be.  They did a mixture of their songs and covers.  I can't wait until they get their own tour in America.  Finally it was time for Demi.  I only knew her hits so I got a little bored.  A lot of the songs were just too slow.  Overall I loved the opening acts more but maybe it's only because I'm not a fan.  I do find her inspiring for fixing herself and staying strong.  Let me know if you've seen this tour.

My One Direction Take Me Home Tour Experience

On Friday I went to see One Direction in Kansas City and it was the best night of my life!  I bought my ticket clear back in April 2012 so I was so excited for this.  At around noon on Friday I headed to Kansas City which is about a 3 hour drive from where I live.  Once I checked into my hotel I headed to the venue.  I have to admit we got a little bit lost but eventually found it.  Right when I got to the venue I got in line for a t-shirt.  The shirts were a reasonable price.  I paid $40 for mine and I love it.  I had never been to the venue before so I got a bit lost finding my seat.  Once I found my seat, I got SO excited by how close I actually was.  Before the show started they had played the commercials for the perfume and movie.  I can't wait for both!  5 Seconds Of Summer was the opening band.  I didn't know much about them but I really liked them.  I knew their songs Heartbreak Girl and Try Hard.  They also covered Teenage Dream by Katy Perry which was very good.  During the break before the boys came on it became a giant dance party.  One guy in the crowd started doing the entire Single Ladies dance which was so funny.  We all kept cheering him on.  Finally it was time for 1D!  It was honestly the best concert I've ever been to.  My favorite part was when Louis asked Niall to describe the show in 18 words.  Niall went over 18 words so Louis made him run a lap around the stage.  Niall's ear piece wasn't working so they decided to tell jokes to stall time.  Harry had dumb jokes but I love dumb jokes so I laughed at them.  I was so sad it was over and I wish I was back.  Maybe next year they'll be back.  I took video clips which you can check out here.  I also made a slide show of all my pictures which is below.  Let me know if you've been to see 1D in the comments.

Music Friday: Mirrors

I'm Back!!!!! 2013 Plans :)

Believe Tour Dates!!!!!!!!!!

I have been waiting for this announcement for awhile now. Justin Bieber has released his North American tour dates for the BELIEVE tour. I saw the Biebs in concert in 2010 on the My World tour. It was one of my top 3 concerts of all time and I've been to TONS of concerts. If you haven't been to a Bieber concert then you should definitely go. Be prepared for LOTS of VERY VERY loud screaming girls though. My ears actually hurt for 2 days after due to the screams. I will hopefully be going to the Kansas City show.
