Weekly Obsession!
OMG WEEKLY OBSESSIONS ARE BACK!!!!! I love doing this series because I'm ALWAYS discovering new things so I figured why not share it with all of you. We can be obsessed together! Today's weekly obsession....invisibobble!!! I know I'm totally late to the game. If you don't know what these are they are a hair tie that doesn't pull or leave marks in hair. I have really thick hair so I was SURE these wouldn't hold my hair at all. My friend made me try it and I was so shocked!! My hair was damp so I put in a bun and IT STAYED!!!! You guys need to try them especially if you have thick hair. You can buy them anywhere but I picked mine up from Ulta. There are multiple colors as well. The only negative is they cost $9 for a set of 3. What are you guys loving right now?

I put together 10 scents to check out while everything is on sale. What is your go to scent? Leave me some recommendations! If you pick up any of these tell me what you got.

My 2018 Reading List
Every new year I always set one goal that I want to accomplish. My goal is that I want to read 12 books within the year. Seems simple right? It's only a book a month! By the end of the year I'm nowhere near my goal. Last year I only read ONE BOOK!!!!! This year I've decided to try a new strategy. The hardest part for me is committing to the book I want to read. So I wrote down all 12 months and picked a book for each one. It could still change depending on what books are coming out this year. I decided that I wanted to share my list with you all so you could follow along if you wanted. Should we start a book club? Let me know! What books are you reading this year?
January: Turtles All The Way Down by John Green
February: Once And For All by Sarah Dessen
March: Caraval by Stephanie Garber
April: Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart
May: Woman In Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
June: In The Unlikely Event by Judy Blume
July: Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter
August: Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins
September: After You by Jojo Moyes
October: Good As Gone by Amy Gentry
November: How To Stop Time by Matt Haig

Trying My First Natural Hair Products
I love trying new hair products. I've suffered from dandruff my whole life so I'm always looking for ways to help it. When Maple Holistics reached out to me asking me if I wanted to try their tea tree shampoo and conditioner. I immediately said yes. I've been testing them out for about two months now. I have a lot of thoughts so lets get into it.
First of all I love the packaging. Most natural products seem boring but I like how they really focus on how it looks. The first thing I did was smell it. I HATE how tea tree oil smells but this smells amazing! The lavender overpowers the tea tree scent which I really appreciate. I also love the price. Most natural products are insanely expensive but the shampoo is $8 and the conditioner is $12. That is a HUGE bonus!
Let's talk about how it worked for me. I loved it! My dandruff cleared up after about 3 washes which is great. The only problem I had was that it didn't lather up. It made me feel like it wasn't cleaning my hair even though it was. Overall I definitely recommend it! The coolest thing about Maple Holistics is the free sample program. Just click here and fill out the form. It's that easy! They have bath products, oils, and a bunch of other natural products. Go check them out!

Ipsy Unboxing: February
It's that time again...it's time to open my monthly ipsy bag!!! I've been subscribed since August and I'm still excited every time. I did a post like this a few months ago but I didn't love how it turned out. So hopefully you can let me know what you want to see. If you want to see swacthes or individual pictures of the products let me know. I'm going to link to every product so if you are interested in it then you can buy it right away. Enjoy!
The Bag:
In case you don't know what ipsy is here is a quick description. Every month you are sent 5 random beauty products in a makeup bag. I usually love the bag but this month really let me down! This month's bag was a denim material with a neon orange border. I wanted pink or hearts because of Valentine's Day! Maybe I would have loved it more in a different month.
The Products:
I don't like using red lipstick because I'm so pale. This is really nice though. The color isn't too bold which I like. It is super lightweight and feels like butter going on. I couldn't believe how smooth it was! You really can't go wrong with Nyx.
I always love getting nail polish because I had to redo my collection. This color is darkish gray and the coverage is amazing! You really only need one coat. It is also vegan and toxic free which is always a good thing.
I love this product! It's so versatile and a gorgeous peachy shade. You can use it as a highlighter, eye shadow, and even on your lips! It just makes everything so glowy and I really love the name.
This is a huge mascara package and I love how bright it is. It's super easy to find in your makeup that's for sure. I haven't tried this out yet. The brush is really flexible though so it can really separate your lashes so they look full.
I'm OBSESSED with this brand and I'm very happy I got two sheet masks. This one is a skin brightening mask that has vitamin C in it. It really does work and it makes your skin super soft. I highly recommend this brand.
I haven't tried this sheet mask yet but I'm sure I'll love it. This one is for moisturizing your skin. It has almond oil and vitamin E in it which you rub into your skin after you take the mask off. This perfect for winter!

My 2017 Goals
Happy 2017 everybody!!!!!! I'm honestly really excited for the new year because 2016 sucked. I had THE worst year and I'm not exaggerating. I was in the hospital, broke my knee, and had tooth surgery. Those are just the highlights. For the last few years I set goals for the new year. I didn't really do so well last year but I'm going to try harder. If you want to see what my 2016 goals were click here. What are your goals?
Read 12 books: One book a month shouldn't be too hard since I joined a blogger book club. You can join too if you would like.
Blog 3-5 times a day: I want to really share more with you guys. If you have any ideas then let me know.
Worry less: I have bad anxiety so I really want to work on that this year.
Watch more movies: I didn't really watch many movies because I was so sick. I love movies!
Be more social: I am a pretty shy person so I want to get out more and socialize.
Work with more brands: Now that I redid my blog I hope more opportunities will come my way.

What I Got For Christmas 2016!!
I am finally back!!! I took time away from blogging for the holidays. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I sure did! It was SUPER busy but that is what makes it so fun. Every year I watch What I Got For Christmas videos on YouTube. I just find it so interesting and fun. Last year I did a post sharing what I got and you guys seemed to like it. So here is this years What I Got For Christmas post! What was your favorite gift?
First up my little sister got me this snowglobe. I actually collect them so I was very happy. It is super beautiful and glittery which fits my personality perfectly! I love that it says the year as well.
She also bought me this olive bomber patch jacket. I love this!!!! It is really comfortable and the inside is bright orange. It is the perfect addition to my wardrobe and jacket collection.
From my mom I got these pajamas. I wore these all day on Christmas and I just love them. The pants are like leggings which is what I basically live in. I will honestly wear these all year!
She also bought me a bunch of these solar powered dancing toys. I am obsessed with these! I probably own 20 and will definitely buy more.
My friend bought me hot pink sequin uggs!!! I was SO shocked! I've never owned a real pair so I'm very happy and grateful.
Last but not least, my older sister got me some sheet masks and an Ulta gift card. I've been dying to try some sheet masks. Also I pretty much spend all my money at Ulta so it is perfect for me!

Big Announcement!!!!
If you read my last book haul then you'll know I hinted at an announcement. I can finally tell you!!!!! A bunch of bloggers including myself created a book club called Novel Babes. We voted and our first book is Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear. We want you guys to become a member too! If you want to be a member then be sure to join the Goodreads Group. We start reading January 1st so you have time to decide. Maybe you can ask for this book for Christmas? We will have two twitter chats on the 15th and 31st. The first chat will be about the first half of the book so don't stress about finishing the book right away. I'm SUPER excited about this because I love to read! Let me know if you are going to join!!!

DIY Lip Scrub
Now that the cold weather has appeared everything is dry. I HATE having dry and chapped lips. It's the worst feeling ever! While hanging out with one of my friends we decided to make our own lip scrubs. A lib scrub gets all the dry skin off so when you apply chapstick it actually works. They can be a bit pricey so this will save you money. You could even give them as Christmas gifts! It's SUPER easy and you probably have all the ingredients already! If you make this tweet me pictures! Enjoy!
What You Will Need:
2 cups white sugar
½ cup coconut oil
5-7 drops of orange essential oil
A jar with a lid
Pink food coloring
Directions:
1. Begin by mixing the sugar and coconut oil in a bowl. You can use a wooden spoon or food processor.
2. Add in the orange essential oil. You can use any flavor you want. Also add a few drops of food coloring if you'd like. Mine is bright pink but you can skip this part if you want. Continue to mix and blend until the sugar scrub is the consistency you wish.
3. Store the sugar scrub in a glass jar with lid to keep it fresh. To use your sugar scrub, just apply it to wet skin in a circular motion and rinse.
