My December Playlist!

It's New Years Eve!!!!  Can you even believe that tomorrow will be 2016?  I hope you all celebrate safely and have fun.  I'll just be here eating pizza and watching TV.  This year went by SUPER fast!  It's been a good one though and I'm ready for 2016.  Be on the look out for a post about my New Year's Goals.  I did this playlist differently because I've been playing A LOT of Christmas music.  So there are 5 regular songs and 5 of my favorite holiday songs.  I'm still obsessed with my playlist from last month which you can check out here.  What songs are you loving?

1. I Know What You Did Last Summer by Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello
I have been loving this song!  I discovered it on Instagram and I'm so glad I did.  Camila is my favorite member of Fifth Harmony and I'm a big fan of his as well.  It seems like a completely different sound for them both and it works.  I like that it slightly darker but still catchy.  Favorite lyric: He knows Dirty secrets that I keep Does he know it's killing me? He knows, he knows D-d-does he know Another's hand have touched my skin I won't tell him where I've been He knows, he knows, he knows

2. Love Yourself by Justin Bieber
I finally did it you guys.  I bought the Bieber album!!!  I heard this song and I just couldn't resist!  I can not stop listening it.  It reminds me of old Bieber but still more mature.  It's also the perfect break up song in my opinion.  I'm officially back to being a fan and I REALLY want to go to his concert.  Favorite lyric: My mama don't like you and she likes everyone And I never like to admit that I was wrong And I've been so caught up in my job, didn't see what's going on But now I know, I'm better sleeping on my own Cause if you like the way you look that much Oh, baby, you should go and love yourself And if you think that I'm still holdin' on to somethin' You should go and love yourself

3. History by One Direction
Of course I had to include a One Direction.  This is honestly my favorite album and I play it every single day.  I've been obsessed with this song this month.  It's just so bittersweet and made for the fans.  I've been a fan since the beginning so it just makes me have a lot of emotions.  It's also just a great song.  I hope the hiatus goes quickly!  Favorite lyric: All of the rumors, all of the fights But we always find a way to make it out alive Thought we were going strong Thought we were holding on
Aren't we? You and me got a whole lot of history (oh) We could be the greatest team that the world has ever seen You and me got a whole lot of history (oh) So don't let it go, we can make some more, we can live forever

4. Hello by Adele
I have a love/hate relationship with this song.  I'm not a fan of hers but this song just gives you chills.  It gets overplayed though which is annoying.  I'm still trying to figure out what it's about.  On Christmas I may have had too many drinks and sang my own version.  Thankfully nobody recorded that!  Favorite lyric: Hello from the other side I must have called a thousand times To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done But when I call you never seem to be home Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I've tried To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart But it don't matter it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

5. Hide Away by Daya
I've liked this song for awhile but I never knew who sang it.  I've never heard of her but I'm obsessed with this song.  Every morning while I get ready I listen to it.  I can't get enough!  I like the message of finding a good guy to date.  Young girls need to hear that for sure.  Favorite lyric: All the money and the time that it takes To be fly as a mother Got my both eyes out for Mr. Right Guessing I just don't know where to find 'em But I hope they all come out tonight Hey! Where do the good boys go to hide away, hide away? I'm a good, good girl who needs a little company Looking high and low, someone let me know Where do the good boys go to hide away, hide away?

6. Santa Tell Me by Ariana Grande
I never knew this existed until this year.  I was missing out!  You guys know that I love her so I'm very happy.  It's so cute and catchy!  It's a new favorite added to my Christmas collection.  Favorite lyric: Or if it's true love that he thinks of So next Christmas I'm not all alone, boy Santa, tell me if you're really there Don't make me fall in love again if he won't be here Next year Santa, tell me if he really cares 'Cause I can't give it all away if he won't be here Next year

7. Christmas Love by Justin Bieber
I play this all year long and I have no shame!  It's such a cute song.  It just makes me feel so happy.  Favorite lyric: Hey angel in the snow I'm under the mistletoe You are the one You're my very own christmas love Tell Santa I'm cool this year My present is standing right here Thank God above for my very own christmas love

8. All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey
This is a classic!  I don't know a single person who doesn't love this song.  It's just SO good!  Favorite lyric: I won't make a list and send it To the North Pole for Saint Nick I won't even stay awake to Hear those magic reindeer click 'Cause I just want you here tonight Holding on to me so tight What more can I do? Baby, all I want for Christmas is you

9. Baby, It's Cold Outside by Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey
This is my favorite version.  I'm a HUGE fan of Jessica Simpson so obviously I own this album.  I can't get enough!  Favorite lyric: I ought to say no, no, no, sir - Mind if I move a little closer At least I'm gonna say that I tried - What's the sense in hurting my pride I really can't stay - Baby don't hold out Baby it's cold outside

10. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays by NSYNC
This just takes me  back to my childhood.  I'm SO sad NSYNC isn't together anymore.  I still have hope!  I play this song all year as well.  Favorite lyric: It's a wonderful feeling Feel the love in the room From the floor to the ceiling It's that time of year Christmastime is here And with the blessings from above God sends you his love And everthing's okay Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays

What I Got For Christmas 2015

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas!  I sure did!  Today I thought I'd share what presents I got this year.  I love these posts and videos because I find it interesting.  I hope you enjoy it!  What was your favorite gift?

My older sister bought me this picture frame.  I love pictures so this is perfect.  This frame is cool because each frame is a different texture.  I really like this!  Now I just need to figure out where to hang it and what to put in it.

My little sister got me these light up letters of my initials.  I've loved these for awhile but it's not something you buy for yourself.  I was very happy when I opened them.  Also they run on batteries so I love that.

She also bought me wax melts that are cupcake scented.  You guys know that cupcakes are my obsession so that was a good choice.

My mom got me this shirt.  If you have read my past posts then you'll know I'm obsessed with these workout tops.  All mine are short sleeve so I'm glad it's long sleeve.  They are by Danskin and so comfortable.  It makes people think you have worked out but you really didn't.

She also got me these leggings.  I'm OBSESSED!  I love colorful and crazy things so these are perfect!  She knows me well.

She also bought me these solar dancing festive toys.  If you read my posts you'll know I have an entire shelf of these things.  They just make me so happy!  Plus they are super cute!

Lastly she got me a lava lamp!!!!!!  I've been asking for one for probably 4 years and it finally happened!  I had one when I was 13 but then I got rid of it because I thought they were uncool.  Now I have one again and I'm very happy!  I know I'm a hippie but I don't care.

4 tablespoons butter softened
2 ounces cream cheese softened
2 eggs

Powdered sugar, for rolling

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a stand mixer, cream together butter and cream cheese. Add eggs and beat until well incorporated. Slowly add in the red velvet cake mix.

Remove cookie dough to a small bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour so the dough stiffens up a bit.

Once chilled, roll the cookie dough balls into small 1-inch balls. Roll each ball into powdered sugar and place onto a parchment-lined sheet tray.

Bake in the oven for 6-8 minutes or until cookies puff up and begin to crack on the tops

Cooking Corner: Chocolate Fudge

I'm very excited for today's recipe.  In case you missed it, I'm sharing a holiday recipe every Thursday through Christmas Eve.  Last week I shared a cookie recipe for Oatmeal Scotchies.  This week I'm sharing Chocolate Fudge.  My grandma makes this every single Christmas.  I look forward to this every year!  This isn't her recipe but it's similar.  If you make this tweet me pictures!  Enjoy!

Ingredients:
2 cup white sugar
1⁄2 cup cocoa
1 cup milk
4 tbsp butter, or margarine
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Grease an 8 x 8 inch square baking pan. Set aside.

Combine sugar, cocoa, and milk in a medium saucepan. Stir to blend, then bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer. Do not stir again.

Place a candy thermometer in the pan and cook until the temperature reaches 238 degrees F (114 degrees C). If you are not using a thermometer, then cook until a drop of this mixture in a cup of cold water forms a soft ball. Feel the ball with your fingers to make sure it is the right consistency. It should flatten when pressed between your fingers.

Remove from heat. Add butter or margarine and vanilla extract. Beat with a wooden spoon until the fudge loses its sheen. Do not under beat.

Pour into prepared pan and let cool. Cut into about 60 squares.

I have been loving chocolate lately especially Hershey's chocolate.  The obsession still continues because I found a new product.  My weekly obsession is.....Hershey's Kisses Cherry Cordial!!!!!!!!!  I HATE chocolate covered cherries.  I know they are a holiday classic but I just can't do it.  This is the perfect solution!  My friend offered me one and I was hesitant at first.  I ate it and was instantly obsessed!  They are milk chocolate but the middle is filled with cherry creme.  It's the exact filling as the chocolate covered cherries but not as overwhelming.  I love them!!!!!  They are limited edition so go get them now!  What is your favorite holiday candy?

Weekly Obsession!

I love this time of year for multiple reasons.  One thing I love is all the holiday treats.  I'm a sucker and always buy them.  That's what happened this week.  My weekly obsession is........Hot Cocoa Chips Ahoy Cookies!  I LOVE hot chocolate!  It is my obsession during winter.  So when I saw these in the store I immediately grabbed them.  I can't get over how much it tastes like hot chocolate!  It has little marshmallow and chocolate chips in it plus a chocolate gooey filling.  The cool part is that you can warm them up so it tastes even more real!  I'll be honest I haven't tried them warm because I'm afraid I'll burn them.  The are good without being warm though.  I limit myself and only eat two every night.  They are limited edition so go try them!  What is your weekly obsession?

My November Playlist!

Is November really over?  It went by SO fast.  On the plus side, this means Christmas is only 25 days away!!  I'm very excited!!!!!  I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving.  I just ate a ton of food and played games with my family.  It was nice to just hang out and relax.  It was hard coming up with this playlist.  There weren't many new songs that I liked but it's still a great one.  I'm still obsessed with last months playlist which is here.  What songs are you loving right now?

1. Sorry by Justin Bieber
I'll admit that I'm back on the Bieber train.  His new music is just SO good!  I tried to deny it but I just can't!  I haven't actually listened to his album yet.  I've heard good things though.  I love the beat of this song.  It takes it to a totally different level.  It makes it not feel like a typical love song and I just really like it!  I'm very intrigued to hear his album.  Favorite lyric: Is it too late now to say sorry Cause I'm missing more than just your body Is it too late now to say sorry? Yeah I know that I let you down Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?

2. Confident by Demi Lovato
This song is always in my head.  You guys know that I love girl power so I'm obviously obsessed with this song.  I love the message especially for young girls.  Be confident in who you are no matter what other people say.  The video reminded me of Divergent and made me want to be a badass.  Girl power all the way!  Favorite lyric: It's time for me to take it I'm the boss right now Not gonna fake it
Not when you go down 'Cause this is my game And you better come to play

3. The Hills by The Weeknd
At first I did not like this song at all.  One day I found myself humming it and now I can't get enough!  I just really love his voice.  It's so unique which makes him stand out.  Also his songs are highly addictive.  I've only heard his two singles but so far I'm a fan.  I don't usually prefer his genre of music so I feel like I'm expanding.  I'm totally checking is album out.  Favorite lyric: Your man on the road, he doing promo You said keep our business on the low-low I'm just tryna get you out the friend zone 'Cause you look even better than the photos I can't find your house, send me the info Driving through the gated residential Found out I was coming, sent your friends home Keep on tryna hide it but your friends know

4. Focus by Ariana Grande
I'm loving her new sound!  At first I wasn't too sure if I liked it but now it has grown on me.  It's a very catchy song.  I really love the video too.  It really showed her dancing skills which I've barely seen.  The whole thing showed a different side and I love it!  The trumpets were a nice touch too.  It's just more girl power!  I'm ready for new music!  Favorite lyric: I know what I came to do And that ain't gonna change So go ahead and talk your talk Cause I won't take the bait I'm over here doing what I like I'm over here working day and night And if my real ain't real enough I'm sorry for you, bae

5. Love You Goodbye by One Direction
The reason this playlist was so hard is because I've been listening to this album 24/7.  I'm not even lying.  Right now this is my favorite song.  It changes daily though.  It really shows how much they have matured.  I feel like a lot of people can relate to this song.  I'm loving them even more than before!  If you want you can go read my review of the album.  Favorite lyric: Hey, hey, hey Oh, why you're wearing that to walk out of my life? Hey, hey, hey Oh, even though it's over you should stay tonight Hey, hey, hey If tomorrow you won't be mine Won't you give it to me one last time? Oh, baby, let me love you goodbye

6. Electric Love by BORNS
I have never heard of this band before.  I actually discovered this song when I was trying to fall asleep.  At first I thought it was Maroon 5 because he sounds slightly like Adam.  I instantly loved it!  It sounds completely different than anything else on the radio.  It makes me feel so happy every time I hear it.  I don't even know why to be honest.  It is very catchy though.  Favorite lyric: Baby, you're like lightning in a bottle I can't let you go now that I got it And all I need is to be struck by your electric love Baby, your electric love Electric love

7. She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5
I'm bringing back one of my all time favorite songs.  I've been playing it a lot this month.  The radio was having a contest to win concert tickets so it kept playing in my head.  This will always be my favorite Maroon 5 song.  It really takes me back to my high school days.  I obsessed over this album and I still do.  It is just so good!  Seeing it live is even better if you get the chance.  Favorite lyric: I drove for miles and miles and wound up at your door I've had you so many times but somehow I want more I don't mind spending every day Out on your corner in the pouring rain Look for the girl with the broken smile Ask her if she wants to stay awhile And she will be loved And she will be loved

8. Hotline Bling by Drake
At first I wasn't a huge fan of this song.  He has had way better songs.  Now this song is like my guilty pleasure.  I never really admit to anybody that I like it but I do.  I'm always humming it without even knowing!  When it comes on the radio I turn it up too!  I just can't stop myself!  Also the music video is SO funny!  I could not stop laughing.  Favorite lyric: You used to call me on my cell phone Late night when you need my love Call me on my cell phone Late night when you need my love And I know when that hotline bling That can only mean one thing I know when that hotline bling That can only mean one thing

9. Secret Love Song by Little Mix feat. Jason Derulo
This is another album that I've been listening to 24/7.  This is the best album that they have done so far.  This was my favorite song right away.  I don't even like slow songs!  It is a sad song but very good.  I play it daily.  I also think Jason Derulo is the perfect match for this song.  He just sounds so good with them.  Favorite lyric: Why can't you hold me in the street? Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor? I wish that it could be like that Why can't we be like that? Cause I'm yours

10. (I've Had) The Time Of My Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes
This is a classic!  This month my mom and I went to see Dirty Dancing live.  It was SO good!  Now I'm constantly singing this song.  It is our favorite part of the entire movie which we have seen at least 1,000 times.  I'm not even lying!  If you haven't  seen Dirty Dancing then you must!  Favorite lyric: You're the one thing I can't get enough of So I'll tell you something This could be love because
I've had the time of my life No I never felt this way before Yes I swear it's the truth And I owe it all to you

DWTS Season 21: It's Final Time!

It's finally here!!!!!  It is finale time!!  If you missed any part of last week click here.  Tonight the celebrities will dance two dances.  First they will do a judges pick.  They will redo a dance that the judges want to see improved.  Then it's time for the final round which is FREESTYLE!!!!!  This is always my favorite part.  The best freestyle is usually the winner so we'll see.  The show kicked off with a performance by Meghan Trainor.  I loved it!  There is a results show tomorrow night so come back to see who the winner is!  Somebody will be eliminated tonight.  Make sure you vote for your favorite!!!!

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
The judges chose the Foxtrot as his redo dance.  It was his week 2 dance.  The main thing that the judges wanted fixed were his shoulders.  I really enjoyed it.  I still don't really love him.  He did fix the problems that the judges wanted.  For me it didn't feel like a Foxtrot.  I guess I prefer more traditional choreography.  His score was 30 of 30.  Next up is the Freestyle.  I have mixed feelings.  I thought it had a lot of potential.  Some parts were amazing but then other parts he seemed disconnected.  I did like that he did bring some of the other contestants out.  That was a big risk.  His score was 30 of 30.  This makes his total for the night 60.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
The judges chose the Rumba as his redo dance.  He did this during switch up week.  The main thing the judges wanted fixed were his hips.  I didn't like it.  I felt like barely danced.  He just sort of walked around.  There was also zero hip action.  It wasn't his best.  His score was 27 of 30.  Next up is the Freestyle.  I'm still not a fan.  I wish they had less people on stage because I kept losing them.  I did like the wall tricks though.  That was a very big risk.  His score was 30 of 30.  This makes his total for the night 57.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
The judges chose the Jive as his redo dance.  It was his week 2 dance.  The main thing the judges wanted fixed were his kicks.  I LOVED IT!!!!!  It was SO much better this time.  He blew me away!!!  This might be his best dance yet!  Also that choreography was SO insane and I loved it!!!!!  His score was 30 of 30.  Next up is the Freestyle.  OMG I love him!!!!!!  This was basically my childhood.  I wanted more!  It was completely flawless!  I have no more words.  His score was 30 of 30.  This makes his total for the night 60.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
The judges chose the Quickstep as her redo dance.  It was her week 3 dance.  The main thing that the judges wanted fixed were her footwork.  This was EPIC!  I can't believe that she did that amazing.  It was so fast and full of energy.  I loved the content and it made me feel happy.  She is great!  Her score was 30 of 30.  Next up is the Freestyle.  This was very emotional.  I loved how simple and beautiful it was.  It made me cry.  It was just pure and touching.  It was risky to do something so pure but it was amazing.  Her score was 30 of 30.  This makes her total for the night 60.

Results:
Alek, Bindi, and Nick are safe.  Carlos has been eliminated.

DWTS Season 21: It's Trio Time!

It's week 10!  This means it is also the semifinals!  If you missed the recap from last week then check it out here.  A lot is happening tonight.  Tamar Braxton had to leave the competition due to medical problems.  This means that everyone left is in the finals.  The celebrities will be dancing three rounds tonight.  First it is just them with their partner.  Then it is the trio round when the celebrity dances with their partner plus another pro.  Finally there will be a dance off.  The show started with a group number.  It was beautiful!  Even though nobody is going home be sure you vote for your favorites!

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
She is doing this to challenge herself and continue her dads legacy.  This week she danced the Salsa.  I loved it!  I wish it was a little more challenging but it was still great.  It was just so uplifting.  I always feel happy after watching her.  I have a feeling she will win.  Her score was 27 of 30.  She chose Mark Ballas for her trio dance.  She danced Jazz.  It was AMAZING!!!!  I honestly couldn't look away!  It was just genius!  I have no words.  Her score was 30 of 30.  Her total for the night is 60.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
He has always wanted to join the military.  This week he danced the Waltz.  I actually really enjoyed this.  It was beautiful.  It was especially fitting since the Paris attacks recently.  His technique has improved greatly.  His footwork was SO much better.  He really stepped it up.  His score was 30 of 30.  He chose Emma Slater for his trio dance.  He danced the Argentine Tango.  I'm have mixed feelings.  The girls stole the show.  He just sort of stepped around.  The choreography was great though.  His score is 27 of 30.  His total for the night is 57.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
He is fighting harder now that his wife is gone.  He has had a lot of family drama growing up but nothing will stop him.  This week he danced Contemporary.  I had mixed emotions.  I wanted more actual dancing.  It was a lot of stopping and going.  I want them to have a better connection.  His score was 28 of 30.  He chose Karina Smirnoff for his trio dance.  He danced the Charleston.  I liked it.  It felt very cheesy and fake to me.  It was a lot of fun though.  I just wanted a story I guess.  His score was 29 of 30.  His total for the night is 60.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
All he wanted was attention from his parents.  He feels like he let so many people down and now he feels confident now.  This week he danced the Tango.  I loved it!  I got very emotional about it.  There was a slight mistake but I loved the message.  He is just amazing!  His score was 24 of 30.  He chose Peta Murgatroyd for his trio dance.  He danced the Salsa.  I LOVED IT!  It was perfection!  I wanted MORE!!  It was everything I wanted!  His score was 30 of 30.  His total for the night is 54.

Dance Off:
Bindi vs. Nick:  They danced the Samba.  I love them both!  They had so much content.  I would pick Nick.  The judges picked Bindi.  She gets 3 points added to her score.

Carlos vs. Alek:  They danced the Cha Cha.  They both did a great job.  I personally loved Carlos better.  The judges picked Carlos.  He gets 3 points added to his score.

Made In The A.M. Album Review

IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!  The new One Direction album is here!  I preordered it so I got bonus videos from the Apple Music Festival.  I also got 4 bonus tracks.  This is a big moment because it is the first album without Zayn.  I have to say this is my favorite album so far.  It is a mature sound and it's just simple.  It's one of those albums you listen to on a rainy day when you just want to chill.  I'm obsessed with it!!!  I'm so proud of them and they sound AMAZING!  I've been playing this 24/7 and I highly recommend it!  My favorite songs so far are Love You Goodbye, I Want To Write You A Song, A.M., If I Could Fly, and History.  Below is the tracklist and my favorite lyrics.  What songs are you loving?

1. Hey Angel: Yeah I see you at the bar, at the edge of my bed Backseat of my car, in the back of my head I come alive when I hear your voice It's a beautiful sound, it's a beautiful noise

2. Drag Me Down: I got fire for a heart I'm not scared of the dark You've never seen it look so easy
I got a river for a soul And baby you're a boat Baby you're my only reason

3. Perfect: When I first saw you From across the room I could tell that you were curious, oh, yeah
Girl, I hope you’re sure What you're looking for 'Cause I'm not good at making promises

4. Infinity: Down to Earth It's like I'm frozen, but the world still turns Stuck in motion, and the wheels keep spinning 'round Moving in reverse with no way out

5. End Of The Day: I told her that I loved her, was not sure if she heard The roof was pretty windy and she didn't say a word Party dying downstairs, had nothing left to do Just me, her and the moon

6. If I Could Fly: For your eyes only, I show you my heart For when you're lonely and forget who you are I'm missing half of me when we're apart Now you know me, for your eyes only For your eyes only

7. Long Way Down: We had a mountain But took it for granted We had a spaceship But we couldn't land it We found an island But we got stranded We had it all Who could've planned it?

8. Never Enough: I don't need my love You can take it, you can take it, take it I don't need my heart
You can break it, you can break it, break it I just can't get too much of you, baby It's never, it's never enough, never enough It's never enough, never enough

9. Olivia: When you go and I'm alone You live in my imagination The summertime and butterflies
All belong to your creation I love you, it's all I do I love you

10. What A Feeling: What a feeling to be right here beside you now Holding you in my arms When the air ran out and we both started running wild The sky fell down But you've got stars in your eyes
And I've got something missing tonight What a feeling to be a king beside you, somehow I wish I could be there now

11. Love You Goodbye: Hey, hey, hey Oh, why you're wearing that to walk out of my life? Hey, hey, hey Oh, even though it's over you should stay tonight Hey, hey, hey If tomorrow you won't be mine
Won't you give it to me one last time? Oh, baby, let me love you goodbye

12. I Want To Write You A Song: I want to write you a song One to make your heart remember me
So any time I'm gone You can listen to my voice and sing along I want to write you a song

13. History: No, they don't teach you this in school Now my heart's breaking and I don't know what to do Thought we were going strong Thought we were holding on Aren't we?

14. Temporary Fix: You caught my attention, you were looking at me first Saw that I could teach you, waking up in my t-shirt If you're not hooked to anything right now, I can be your vice

15. Walking In The Wind: We had some good times, didn't we? We had some good tricks up our sleeve Goodbyes are bittersweet But it's not the end I'll see your face again

16. Wolves: In the middle of the night when the wolves come out Headed straight for your heart Like a bullet in the dark One by one, I gotta take them down We can run and hide, ain't goin' down without a fight I hear them calling for you

17. A.M.: Won't you stay 'til the A.M.? All my favorite conversations Always made in the A.M Cause we don't know what we're saying We're just swimming round in our glasses And talking out of our asses Like we're all gonna make it

Movie Review: Inside Out

I have been SO excited to see this movie!  Everybody I know was talking about how amazing it was.  Last week I went out and bought it on DVD.  I fell IN LOVE with it!

If you don't know what it is about then I'll try to explain it.  It focuses on a young girl who has five different emotions controlling her thoughts and feelings.  The emotions are Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear.  I thought it was fantastic!  I'm not gonna lie there was some crying involved.  I thought it was too complex for kids.  Maybe they saw it differently than I did.  It really makes you think about life and your emotions.  I was not expecting it to be that deep!  Maybe it was just me that felt that way.

My favorite character was sadness.  It made me realize that it's ok to feel sad sometimes.  It's a normal emotion to experience.  I most identified with fear.  I always think about the worse possible situations that could happen.  I highly recommend this movie.  Have you seen it?  Tell me your thoughts!

Weekly Obsession!

Today's obsession is back to food.  It's a good one though!  My weekly obsession is....Hershey's Candy Corn Chocolate Bar!!!!  I can't believe I didn't know about this!  If you have read my blog then you know that I LOVE candy corn.  My friend went to the gas station and came back with this.  I was SO excited!  It tastes AMAZING!  It is a white chocolate bar with candy corn bits mixed in.  It is very sweet so be warned.  Sadly I don't think you can buy them anymore.  They were only limited edition.  Hopefully they come back next year!  What is your favorite candy?

DWTS Season 21: It's Showstoppers Night!

It's week 9!  If you missed anything from last week then check it out here.  There are only 6 left!  Tonight is showstopper night!  The couples will dance twice this week.  During the duet round they will be dancing with another couple with no pros for 30 seconds.  They will take inspiration from broadway numbers.  I'm interested to see how this works.  Tonight somebody will go home.  Make sure you vote so that your favorites so they don't go home.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
He is the underdog right now.  This week he danced the Salsa.  I thought he has done better.  There were a lot of mistakes.  He didn't do well with the hip action.  I wanted him to be sexier because Salsa is sexy.  He didn't have the musicality either.  I really think he'll be going soon.  He just isn't where he should be this far in the competition.  His score was 24 of 30.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND MARK BALLAS:
She needs to clear her mind and just dance.  She suffered from an eating disorder for years and now she's telling her story.  This week she danced Contemporary.  I loved this!  It was SO powerful!  The choreography was FANTASTIC!  I honestly got chills.  You could feel every single struggle.  I suffered from an eating disorder too so I felt a connection.  I'm glad that she shared because it needs more awareness.  Her score was 30 of 30.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
He was almost eliminated last week.  He is confident in his partner and himself.  This week he danced the Argentine Tango.  I liked it.  Sadly I didn't love it.  I wanted more passion and intensity.  It just didn't feel like an Argentine Tango.  He can do so much more than this.  At this point he needs to be great not good.  His score was 27 of 30.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
She is held to a higher standard than the other couples.  This week she danced the Viennese Waltz.  It was AMAZING!  She started off being blindfolded which is incredible.  It was SO beautiful and flawless.  I loved that it was a classic Viennese Waltz but still surprising and risky.  I just love her and everything that she does.  She is wonderful!  Her score was 30 of 30.

TAMAR BRAXTON AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
She finally has the connection with her partner.  This week she danced Contemporary.  She was in the hospital so we saw her dress rehearsal.  It's unfortunate because it wasn't her full potential.  I loved the concept but it was so hard to judge.  Her score was 22 of 30.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
He finally got a perfect score so he needs to stay on this path.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  It was SO good!!!  All season his frame hasn't been that great but tonight it looked great.  It couldn't look away!  It was so cool and fun.  I loved how modern it was.  It had a Great Gatsby vibe which I loved.  I love him so much!  #TeamSharnick!  His score was 28 of 30.

Showstopper Round:
Carlos and Alek:  They are dancing the Paso Doble.  There were parts that I really loved and parts I didn't.  The solo part could've had more.  The black light paint was very cool.  I wanted more of a Paso feel.  Their score was 24 of 30.  This is added to their earlier scores.

Bindi and Alexa:  They are dancing the Charleston.  I loved them together!  It was SO much fun!  It was modern but still classic.  I wish it never ended!  I adored the solo part!  It was sassy and just fun!  This was my favorite dance of the night.  Their score was 30 of 30.  This is added to their earlier scores.

Nick and Tamar:  They are dancing the Rumba.  Tamar was back!  I loved this dance!  It was so beautiful and I couldn't look away.  I can't believe she danced after being in the hospital.  I applaud her.  Their score was 27 of 30.  This is added to their earlier scores.

Results:
Bindi, Nick, Alek, Tamar, and Carlos are safe.  Alexa has been eliminated.

Get Weird Album Review

I'm SUPER exited for this post!  If you've been following my monthly playlists then you'll know I've been obsessed with Little Mix.  I've loved them since the beginning but their new music is just SO good!  It reminds me of old school mixed with R&B.  It's a more mature vibe and I'm loving it.  This is by far my favorite album by them.  I preordered the deluxe edition so I got 4 bonus songs and 2 videos.  One is a video for the song Hair that they made in their hotel room.  The other is behind the scenes at the iTunes Festival.  I obviously love Black Magic, Love Me Like You, and Hair.  My top favorites are Grown, Secret Love Song, A.D.I.D.A.S., Clued Up, and OMG.  Below is the track list and my favorite lyrics.  What songs are you guys loving?

10. A.D.I.D.A.S.: Slaving in the kitchen, iced you a cake Then I served you a plate, but that ain't what you ate, no We been busy doing all Fifty Shades While we listen to Drake, we on that hot love and emotion

11. Love Me Or Leave Me: You can take this heart Heal it or break it all apart No, this isn't fair Love me or leave me here

Turn up the heat baby, don't give up

Book Haul!

I've got more books!  I have been really into reading lately.  It's been awhile since I did a book haul so I thought I'd share what I got with you guys.  I got lots of good choices.  What are you guys reading?

I'm VERY excited about this book.  It's Girl Online On Tour which is the sequel to Girl Online.  I did a review on that which you can check out here.  Zoe is one of my favorite YouTubers and I actually preordered this.  I can't wait to see what happens next for Penny and Noah!  Here is the description: The sequel to the number-one bestseller Girl Online. Penny joins her rock-star boyfriend, Noah, on his European music tour. Penny's bags are packed. When Noah invites Penny on his European music tour, she can't wait to spend time with her rock-god-tastic boyfriend. But, between Noah's jam-packed schedule, less-than-welcoming bandmates and threatening messages from jealous fans, Penny wonders whether she's really cut out for life on tour. She can't help but miss her family, her best friend Elliot . . . and her blog, Girl Online. Can Penny learn to balance life and love on the road, or will she lose everything in pursuit of the perfect summer?

I love Nicholas Sparks and have read pretty much all his books.  So of course I bought his newest novel See Me.  I'm actually half way through this book so be on the look out for a review soon!  I'm not including a description because I don't want to ruin my review.

I have heard SO many things about this book.  It's Down The Rabbit Hole by Holly Madison.  It's very interesting and I can't believe all the secrets she shares.  I'm not finished yet but I really love it!  If you watched Girls Next Door then you will love it.  Here is the description: A former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner describes how her years inside the Playboy Mansion went from a fairytale of A-list celebrity parties to an oppressive regime of strict rules, scheduled sex, and a total loss of identity, so much so that she even contemplated suicide.

My friend and I wanted to start our own book club.  We decided to read 1st To Die by James Patterson.  It's the first book in a series called Women's Murder Club.  If we like it then we have a whole series to read.  Here is the description: Four women-four friends-share a determination to stop a killer who has been stalking newlyweds in San Francisco. Each one holds a piece of the puzzle: Lindsay Boxer is a homicide inspector in the San Francisco Police Department, Claire Washburn is a medical examiner, Jill Bernhardt is an assistant D.A., and Cindy Thomas just started working the crime desk of the San Francisco Chronicle.  But the usual procedures aren't bringing them any closer to stopping the killings. So these women form a Women's Murder Club to collaborate outside the box and pursue the case by sidestepping their bosses and giving one another a hand.

This week my obsession is not about food surprisingly.  I feel like 90% are about food because I just like trying new things.  My weekly obsession is.........Faux Leather Leggings!!  To be honest I'm obsessed with all leggings lately but these are my favorite.  Last month I did a HUGE wardrobe update.  I needed a few dressier items and stuff for fall/winter.  I bought everything on Kohl's website and I got bonus cash.  So I decided to buy legging and I fell in love with them.  They are SUPER comfortable and stretchy.  You can dress them up or down which I really like.  They look like real leather too.  I only paid $20 and it's amazing quality.  If you are looking for a good quality faux leather leggings then check these out.  What are you loving this week?

DWTS Season 21: Icon Week

It's week 8!  If you missed last week then you can check it out here.  This week is icon week.  The stars will be paying tribute to their favorite icon.  Also the dance off is back!  The celebrity with the highest score has immunity and can't be eliminated this week.  The remaining celebrities will compete in the dance off.  Two couples will go head to head and whoever wins gets extra points.  The show started with a huge group number.  It was AMAZING!!!!!  Tonight somebody will be eliminated.  Make sure you are voting for your favorites so they don't go home.

CARLOS PENAVEGA AND WITNEY CARSON:
He picked Marc Anthony as his icon because he helped him understand his Latin roots.  This week he danced the Salsa.  I thought it was pretty good.  It started off not so well but it got better.  I thought he has had better dances.  For me he had too many tricks and I wanted more dancing.  I just wanted it to feel more like a salsa.  I did enjoy it though.  His score was 27 of 30.

ALEK SKARLATOS AND LINDSAY ARNOLD:
He picked Chris Kyle as his icon because he doesn't think of himself as a hero either.  This week he danced Contemporary.  I really liked this!  It was so beautiful and touching.  I wanted more dancing though.  It was very simple and they focused more on lifts.  He needs to push himself if he wants to make it far.  I'm not sure he'll last much longer honestly.  His score was 25 of 30.

ANDY GRAMMER AND ALLISON HOLKER:
He picked Stevie Wonder as his icon because he listened to him growing up and it made him feel happy.  This week he danced the Viennese Waltz.  This made me cry.  It just had so much emotion and it was beautiful.  The story was so touching.  It wasn't his best dance but it still touched me.  He does need to work a little on his technique but overall I enjoyed it.  His score was 22 of 30.

ALEXA PENAVEGA AND MARK BALLAS:
She picked David & Goliath as her icon because her faith inspires her to conquer these dances.  This week she danced the Argentine Tango.  I thought it was OK.  The story line didn't fit this dance at all.  Argentine Tango is about a love/hate relationship and this story isn't.  I wanted more passion and intensity.  There were some mistakes but she did recover well.  She has done better but I'm not a huge fan of hers.  Her score was 25 of 30.

NICK CARTER AND SHARNA BURGESS:
He picked his wife as his icon because she is always there for him.  This week he danced Contemporary.  I loved it!  It was basically their entire love story in one dance.  It was so beautiful and breathtaking.  It was honestly flawless!  I felt very emotional.  It was his best dance yet!  Also he's having a boy!!!!!  I just love him and I'm very happy for them both.  His was 30 of 30.

BINDI IRWIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
She picked Grace Kelly as her icon because she always stayed true to herself no matter what.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  I loved this dance!  It was SO much fun!  She is a hollywood sweetheart so it was fitting for her.  The choreography was fantastic and I wanted more!  It was modern but still classy.  I do wish it had a little bit more Foxtrot but I still loved it.  I just love her!  Her score was 28 of 30.

TAMAR BRAXTON AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
She picked her sister Toni Braxton as her icon because she helps know can she can accomplish anything.  This week she danced the Paso Doble.  I really liked this!  It was a HUGE improvement from last week.  I thought the choreography was classic and strong.  She looked fabulous!  She needs to work on her arms but I love her confidence.  She has nothing to worry about.  Her score was 28 of 30.

The Dance Off:
Nick got immunity so he can't be eliminated and isn't in the dance off.

Bindi is going against Carlos.  They are dancing the Jive.  Both of them were amazing!  I personally thought Bindi was better.  The judges picked Carlos as the winner.  They get 2 extra points added to their scores.

Tamar is going against Alexa.  They are dancing the Cha Cha.  I liked this pairing a lot!  They killed it!  I liked Alexa better.  The judges picked Tamar as the winner.  They get 2 extra points added to their scores.

Andy is going against Alek.  They are dancing the Samba.  Neither have danced this style yet.  It was a bit of a mess.  I would probably go with Andy.  The judges picked Andy as the winner.  They get 2 extra points added to their scores.

Results:
Nick, Bindi, Tamar, Alek, Alexa, and Carlos are safe.  Andy has been eliminated.

My October Playlist!

Happy Halloween everybody!  I'm getting ready to take my nieces out trick or treating.  They are SO cute!  This year they are Batgirl and of course Elsa.  Secretly I wish I was dressing up as Elsa too.  Before all my Halloween excitement begins I wanted to share what songs I've been obsessed with this month.  I seem to have been loving a lot of female artists which is rare for me.  Girl power!  I'm still loving last month's playlist which you can check out here.  What songs have you been loving?

1. I'm In Love With A Monster by Fifth Harmony
This is a fitting first song.  I love Fifth Harmony so of course I love this song.  It's VERY catchy and a fun song.  It's for the movie Hotel Transylvania 2.  I've never seen the first one but maybe I'll take my nieces to see it sometime.  I'm so proud that they made it on a movie soundtrack.  I LOVE the video as well.  They look amazing!  Favorite lyric: Friends say I'm stupid and I'm out of my mind But without you, boy, I'd be bored all the time No, I don't really care for the same conversation Got everything I need, and I'd rather be chasing Chasing love, with a monster

2. Love Me Like You by Little Mix
They are on a roll with their new music!  I have loved every song that they have released.  I'm honestly so excited about the album.  I will be buying it for sure!  The sound is very 50's which you guys know I love.  They have really changed their sound and I think it's for the best.  The video is adorable and it makes me miss prom.  Favorite lyric: Last night I lay in bed so blue Cause I realized the truth, they can't love me like you I tried to find somebody new Baby they ain't got a clue, can't love me like you

3. Same Old Love by Selena Gomez
I have been obsessed with her lately!  I really like her mature sound.  She did it in a really classy and elegantly.  I really appreciate that because most younger artists don't do that anymore.  I'm sure she followed Taylor Swift's advice.  I actually haven't listened to her album yet but I plan on it.  I've heard it's fantastic.  I turn this song up every time it's on.  I'm loving it!  Favorite lyric: Take away your things and go You can't take back what you said, I know I've heard it all before, at least a million times I'm not one to forget, you know I don't believe, I don't believe it You left in peace, left me in pieces Too hard to breathe, I'm on my knees Right now

4. On My Mind by Ellie Goulding
This song has been my obsession!  I play it at least 10 times a day and never get tired of it.  I also constantly have it stuck in my head.  I really like how different it sounds compared to her other music.  I think it's amazing!  Supposedly this song is about Ed Sheeran but nothing has been confirmed.  I just love her and I'm a fan of anything she does.  I will totally be checking out her album.  Favorite lyric: Wait, I could have really liked you I'll bet, I'll bet that's why I keep on thinking 'bout you It's a shame (shame), you said I was good So I poured it down, so I poured it down And now I don't understand it You don't mess with love, you mess with the truth And I know I shouldn't say it But my heart don't understand Why I got you on my mind

5. Cake By The Ocean by DNCE
When did Joe Jonas create a band?  I had no idea he was singing until I saw them on TV.  Ir sounds nothing like him but I do love the song.  I do wish it was out during the summer instead because it has that vibe.  It's a very catchy song.  I haven't heard any other music by them so I can't tell if I'm a total fan yet.  I'm just still shocked that he has a band.  He should've went solo like Nick.  Favorite lyric: Waste time with a masterpiece, don't waste time with a masterpiece (Huh!) You should be rolling with me, you should be rolling with me (Aaahhhh) You're a real life fantasy, you're a real life fantasy (Huh!) But you're moving so carefully; let's start living dangerously

6. Stitches by Shawn Mendes
I've actually loved this song for awhile now.  It finally made my playlist!  First I forgot who sang it and then it kept getting bumped off by other songs.  This month I've been playing it a TON.  My friend and I just can't get enough for some reason.  It's even made it onto my morning playlist.  This is another song that is stuck in my head.  I'm always singing it!  Favorite lyric: You watch me bleed until I can't breathe Shaking, falling onto my knees And now that I'm without your kisses I'll be needing stitches Tripping over myself Aching, begging you to come help And now that I'm without your kisses I'll be needing stitches

7. Fifteen by Taylor Swift
Earlier this month I went to the Taylor Swift concert.  If you want to know all about it go here.  She sang this song and it just brought back so many memories.  I get chills every time I hear it.  It's just such a great song!  I've been playing her old albums over and over since the concert.  She is amazing and my idol.  I will be a fan forever!  Favorite lyric: 'Cause when you're fifteen and somebody tells you they love you You're gonna believe them And when you're fifteen, don't forget to look before you fall I've found that time can heal most anything And you just might find who you're supposed to be I didn't know who I was supposed to be at fifteen

8. One Call Away by Charlie Puth
I may or may not have a Charlie Puth obsession.  I just love his voice SO MUCH!  I've loved every song that I've heard.  I can't even choose a favorite!  I even preordered his album because I'm so obsessed.  I discovered this song when I was trying to fall asleep.  It's such a cute song!  I just love him!  Favorite lyric: No matter where you go You know you're not alone I'm only one call away I'll be there to save the day Superman got nothing on me I'm only one call away

9. Friend Zone by Danielle Bradbery
I'm SO glad that she has new music out!  I've been a fan since she was on The Voice.  It should've been released in the summer because it also has that vibe.  It's just really fun and upbeat.  I'm glad that she hasn't changed since becoming famous.  I do wish she would make songs like the older country music.  It would suit her voice perfectly.  Favorite lyric: You think you're doing just fine Ooh, she got you on the sideline You think you're flying towards the endzone You're just headed towards the friend zone Let me break it down to the facts You will never get a girl like that You gotta step up to the plate with a bat That's all I gotta say about that

10. Perfect by One Direction
Are you guys even surprised?  Obviously this song was going to make the playlist!  I've literally had it on repeat since it came out.  The video was a total surprise and I'm OBSESSED!  It might be my favorite video that they've done.  I love the black and white.  Plus they just look adorable.  I just love them!  I'm SUPER pumped for the album in 13 days!!!!!!!!  Be looking for an album review.  Favorite lyric: But if you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms And if you like having secret little rendezvous If you like to do the things you know that we shouldn’t do Baby, I'm perfect Baby, I'm perfect for you And if you like midnight driving with the windows down And if you like going places we can’t even pronounce If you like to do whatever you've been dreaming about Baby, you're perfect
Baby, you're perfect So let's start right now
