Weekly Obsession!

I'm SO glad that I have been keeping up with these posts.  Be prepared though because once the holidays happen most of my obsessions will probably be food related.  I'm very excited for my obsession this week.  My weekly obsession is......Beauty And The Beast!!!!!!!  This is honestly one of my favorite Disney films.  I watched it all the time as a kid.  When I heard they were going to make it into a live action version I just couldn't picture it.  Then when Emma Watson was cast as Belle I was SO upset!  She looks nothing like Belle!!!!  At that point I decided I wasn't going to see the film.  Then the trailer was released and I lost my mind!  It looks AMAZING!!!!  They really stayed true to the original film which made me very happy.  Emma Watson was really transformed and beast looked fantastic!  I'll leave the trailer below.  It comes out in March and I can't wait!!!!  Fun fact: My mom and I are actually going to see the play in May or June so will definitely let you guys know how it is.  What are you currently loving?  Let me know!

Movie Review: Trolls

I'm not going to lie, I totally took my niece so I wouldn't look like a weird 27 year old.  I love Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake so I was super excited to see this film.  To be honest I didn't really know what it was about.  I'll give you a brief description.  The trolls are celebrating being free from the Bergens for 20 years.  When a Bergen finds them and kidnaps some of the Trolls.  Poppy decides to go rescue them with the help of an unwilling Branch.  I LOVED this movie!  I thought the storyline was adorable.  The soundtrack is also incredible.  It had some adult humor so everybody can enjoy it.  I highly recommend it!  If you saw it then let me know what you thought.

Movie Review: Inside Out

I have been SO excited to see this movie!  Everybody I know was talking about how amazing it was.  Last week I went out and bought it on DVD.  I fell IN LOVE with it!

If you don't know what it is about then I'll try to explain it.  It focuses on a young girl who has five different emotions controlling her thoughts and feelings.  The emotions are Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear.  I thought it was fantastic!  I'm not gonna lie there was some crying involved.  I thought it was too complex for kids.  Maybe they saw it differently than I did.  It really makes you think about life and your emotions.  I was not expecting it to be that deep!  Maybe it was just me that felt that way.

My favorite character was sadness.  It made me realize that it's ok to feel sad sometimes.  It's a normal emotion to experience.  I most identified with fear.  I always think about the worse possible situations that could happen.  I highly recommend this movie.  Have you seen it?  Tell me your thoughts!

Quiz Tuesday: Which “Halloweentown” Character Are You?

Happy Tuesday!  I'm starting to get SUPER excited for Halloween.  It's always been one of my favorite holidays.  I'm not a fan of scary stuff though.  Today's quiz is perfect for me.  It's called Which “Halloweentown” Character Are You?  If you have never seen this movie then you are missing out.  Every Halloween I watch it so I'm excited to see who I get.  You can take this quiz with me here.  Share your results!

I got Sophie!  The description says: Like Sophie, you are clever and curious. You’re naturally good at everything you do, but you have yet to unlock your full potential.

I think this is fairly accurate.  I'm a very curious person but I'm not naturally good at everything.  She is my second favorite character so I'm happy with it.  I'm just glad I didn't get the brother!

♥The Fall Favorites Tag♥

Fall is finally here!!!!  This is always one of my favorite times of year.  I love the chilly sunny days and the trees changing.  It also means football time!  I'm a big fan in case you didn't know.  Today I'm doing the Fall Favorites Tag.  I saw it on YouTube and loved it.  I did adjust some of the questions to fit me better.  I wanted to have this post up earlier but I got a really bad virus for about two weeks.  That was NOT fun but I'm back now!  I wanna know all of your answers too!  Be sure to send me a link so I can check them out!  Also, send me some suggestions if you want more fall themed posts.  Enjoy!

Favorite Candle:
I don't really light candles but I love a good fall scent.  For my birthday I got an Air Wick room spray.  I'm OBSESSED with it!  My scent recently ran out so I went on the hunt for a fall smell.  I found this one called Mom's Baking and it's perfect!  It smells like cinnamon, apples, and vanilla.  Every 30  minutes or so it will spray and I just can't get enough!

Favorite Candy:
There is only certain types of candy that you can buy around this time of year.  I wait all year for...candy corn!!!!  I LOVE it!  Nobody else I know will eat it.  The original is obviously the best but I do like trying the flavored ones as well.  I highly recommend the S'mores flavor.

Favorite Drink:
HOT CHOCOLATE!!!!  There is no question about this question.  It's pretty much all I drink from October through February.  It just makes me feel so cozy and warm.  I just got into Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate.  I can't believe I've been missing out!

Favorite Book:
I adore a good romance book around this time of year.  I just like curling up in a snuggly blanket and getting lost in a love story.  This will be my go to this year.  I pre-ordered it so I can start reading it next week when it comes out.  To be honest any Nicholas Sparks is a winner in my opinion.

Favorite Clothing Item:
This is my latest purchase and I am in LOVE!  I have been wanting a pair of ankle booties for a few years.  I just couldn't find a pair that I really loved.  I found these on sale at Kohls and I knew they were the ones.  I bought them in tan because I felt like they will go with everything.  I just like how I can wear them with pretty much anything in my wardrobe.

Favorite Fall Movie:
This is my all time favorite Halloween film.  I've been watching this since I was little and I still love it.  I don't like scary movies so I'm glad Disney understands me.  It's actually such an underrated film.  Another movie that I also seem to watch around this time of year is RENT.  If you aren't a fan of musicals then you probably won't like it.  It's my all time favorite musical!

Favorite Fall TV Show:
I LOVE FALL TV!!!  I look forward to it all summer long!  I've been watching a lot of new shows so I'll do a whole post on that.  The one show I was most excited for was How To Get Away With Murder.  This show is MY LIFE!  Each episode just gets better and better!  Go watch if you haven't yet!
Favorite Thanksgiving Food:
I actually don't like traditional Thanksgiving food.  That's probably really weird but I just don't.  One thing that we eat every year is green bean casserole.  It's just SO good!  It's really easy to make as well.  My mom does it best!

Favorite Halloween Costume:
As a kid my mom never bought us costumes.  She never saw the point in spending $25 to wear an outfit that you only wear a few hours.  So she just made them!  My favorite was a cat.  I just wore black stretch pants, a black turtleneck, and black ballet shoes.  It was my favorite and I honestly wanted to wear it every day.  Sadly I couldn't find a picture but I was obsessed.

Movie Haul

Something you might not know about me is that I love movies.  I own over 200 and I keep buying more!  I just like the idea of getting lost in another world.  Lately I have bought a couple so I thought I would do a haul.  If you guys want more posts like this then just let me know!  Do you have any movie recommendations?

First up is The Age Of Adaline.  The minute I saw the preview that I had to see this film.  I actually went and saw this in theater and loved it!  It's about a woman who never ages because of an accident.  It's a lot like the TV show from last year called Forever.  Blake Lively was FANTASTIC!  I really wish this was a book.  If you guys know any books similar to this then let me know!

Next I got Home.  I say I bought it so that my nieces could watch it but in reality I wanted to watch it.  It's about little aliens who take over Earth and eliminate humans.  I actually don't know everything about it because I haven't watched it yet.  My niece who is 4 says it is SOOO funny.  I guess we'll find out!

I also got Fast & Furious 7.  This by far my favorite franchise.  I own all the others so of course I bought this one.  I did a review which you can check out here.  Paul Walker is one of my favorite actors and I'm SO sad he is gone.  This film was his last so it's bittersweet.

Next I got Space Jam!  If you weren't alive in the 90's then you'll have no idea what this is.  I LOVED this film when I was a kid.  I watched it every single day!  Basically the looney toons and Michael Jordan combine worlds to defeat the monsters.  That is a terrible description but trust me it's a classic.  Plus it was only $3.

Lastly I bought Aloha.  I love all three of the actors so I had to have it.  I'm not really sure how to describe it even though I watched it.  It has a lot of different elements.  Plus it was filmed in Hawaii so it's gorgeous.  I loved this film A LOT!

Movie Review: Insurgent

I have bee waiting for FOREVER to see this film.  I immediately bought it the day it came out!  This is the second movie in the Divergent series.  I thought I did a review of the first film but I must have forgotten.  You can check out my thoughts on the books though.

I'll start briefly on what I thought of the first film Divergent.  I have a love/hate relationship with it.  Some parts were exactly how I pictured it while reading but I HATED the ending.  They completely changed it!  You are probably wondering why I was so eager to see Insurgent then.  I have a reason.

I was really curious on how they were going to continue based on that ending.  It totally exceeded my expectations!  It was SO much better than the first film which doesn't typically happen.  It has been awhile since I read the books but it did seem to follow what I remember.  This was definitely more action packed.  It does get a bit violent at times so be warned.  It's not super graphic though.

Shailene Woodley does an amazing job as Tris.  She is exactly how I pictured her to be in the books.  I'm also in love with Theo James who plays Four.  They just did an awesome job with the casting.  Overall, I loved this film a lot better.  Give it a chance even if you weren't a fan of Divergent.  You'll be really surprised.  I can't wait until Allegiant comes out next year!  Have you seen this movie?  Let me know your thoughts.

Movie Review: The Longest Ride

I'm back with another movie review!  I'm slightly obsessed with anything Nicholas Sparks so I had to see The Longest Ride.  About a year or or two ago I read the book and I wasn't that impressed.  I didn't love it or hate it.  I just didn't think it flowed that well.  As I was reading the book I knew it was going to be a movie but I didn't know who the actors were.  I had heard the film was better and I'm glad I listened.

I am 100% in love with this movie.  It definitely is in my top 10 for sure!  The move is about two different couples.  The first is Luke and Sophia who are young and in love.  The other couple who is older are Ira and Ruth.  Luke and Sophia find Ira crashed on the side of the road and rescue him.  Every day Sophia comes to read Ira letters he had written for his late wife Ruth.  You learn that the two couples really aren't that different despite the age gap.  Luke is a professional bull rider who downplays the severity of his injury.  Sophia is an art major who has internship waiting for her in New York.  I'll leave it at that so I don't ruin anything.

I have a new love/obsession after watching this film.  It's Scott Eastwood!!!  I could stare at him all day long and his acting was great as well.  I felt the film flowed a lot better than the book did which is rare.  I highly recommend this film!  It has a love story but also a modern day western vibe.  Who doesn't love a hot cowboy?  Have you read the book or watched the film?  Which did you prefer?  Let me know your thoughts!

Movie Review: The Imitation Game

It's been SOOO long since I've done a review!  Lately I've been watching a movie every night but this was by far my favorite.  It is called The Imitation Game.  To be honest I had no idea what it was about.  My grandma and I love history, especially anything WWII related, so when she told me a little bit about it I was intrigued.  It is based on a true story.  It's basically about a guy named Alan Turing who creates a machine to decode Nazi messages.  It's crazy how one man pretty much changed the world.  It was so fascinating to see how his brain worked.  This film made me become slightly obsessed with Benedict Cumberbatch.  He was just incredible!  There is a deeper storyline as well but I won't ruin it for you.  I'm not gonna lie there were tears shed but I cry easily.  I recommend this to everybody!  Even if you aren't a fan of history you will still enjoy it.  Let me know if you have seen this film!

Book Review: The Boy In The Striped Pajamas

I finished another book!  It's called The Boy In The Striped Pajamas by John Boyne.  My friend told me I needed to read this book so I checked it out.  It was VERY good but VERY sad.  I knew a little bit about this because it's also a movie.

It is told through the eyes of Bruno who is a 9 year old German boy.  It is set during the Holocaust so if you don't like that I wouldn't read this.  After his dad gets a new job the entire family moves onto a concentration camp.  While out exploring, Bruno becomes friends with a boy on the other side of the fence.

I'll leave it there so nothing is ruined for you.  I really enjoyed this book plus it was a super easy read.  It gave a different perspective to what we know about that war.  Since it's told through a young boys point of view it really gave it a sort of innocence.  I'm too nervous to watch the movie because I'm not exactly sure how graphic it will be.  Overall, I would recommend checking this out.  Have you read this book?  Let me know your thoughts!

Movie Review: Furious 7

Every time a new Fast and Furious movie comes out my sister and I always go.  We finally got to go yesterday.  I'm not gonna lie I went into this movie knowing I was going to cry.  I'm a HUGE Paul Walker fan and have been for years.  We'll get to that later.

I LOVED this film!  I feel like each one gets better and better.  The stunts were insane!  It was never boring.  There were cars and fights and so much more.  I could not even look away!  The story line was interesting as well.  Everything just flowed together nicely.  It was also SUPER intense!  I already want to watch it again!

I thought the tribute to Paul Walker was very well done.  It was a good way for fans to say goodbye and I totally cried.  His brothers actually stepped in to finish the film for him but I honestly couldn't even tell.  I highly recommend everybody go see this especially if you are a fan.  You won't regret it!

DWTS Season 20: Wonderful World Of Disney

It's week 5!  If you missed my recap last week you can click here.  This week is very exciting because it's Disney week!!!  Disney is my life so I can't wait to see what happens.  They did this theme a couple of seasons ago so it has a lot to live up to.  The show kicked off with an AMAZING group number.  I loved it!  Tonight somebody will be eliminated.  Make sure you are voting for your favorite couple so they don't go home!

SUZANNE SOMERS AND TONY DOVOLANI:
Her Disney movie is Lady And The Tramp.  Her song is He's A Tramp.  This week she danced a Jazz.  It was going pretty good until she forgot her steps.  She did pull it back together.  I really liked the more sultry side.  I think she does well when she has an actual character to portray.  I personally liked last week's better.  Her score was 28 of 40.

ROBERT HERJAVEC AND KYM JOHNSON:
His Disney movie is Mary Poppins.  His song is Step In Time.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  I'm just obsessed with him!  I honestly never expected him to last this long.  He really struggled with this dance.  His personality really took over.  He did mess up but I didn't even care.  He'll step it up next week I'm sure.  His score was 24 of 40.

PATTI LABELLE AND ARTEM CHIGVINTSEV:
Her Disney movie is Pinocchio.  Her song is When You Wish Upon A Star.  This week she danced the Waltz.  It was SO much better than last week.  I really did enjoy it.  It was romantic and magical.  She did need more steps but she's also injured.  I don't know how much longer she'll last.  I definitely enjoy when she does ballroom because it just fits her personality.  Her score is 27 of 40.

WILLOW SHIELDS AND MARK BALLAS:
Her Disney movie is Alice In Wonderland.  Her song is Alice's Theme.  This week she danced the Foxtrot.  It was super creepy but I liked it A LOT!  The concept was just phenomenal.  She did need to work on her arms but I barely noticed.  It was just so crazy!  Every week I love her more and more.  She genuinely could win the whole thing.  Her score was 34 of 40.

CHRIS SOULES AND WHITNEY CARSON:
His Disney movie is Hercules.  His song is Zero To Hero.  This week he danced the Quickstep.  I really liked it!  He had injured his knee hours before the show.  It did have a couple issues but it was an improvement.  His musicality is what he needs to work on.  This was my favorite by him.  It was just fun and really adorable.  His score was 27 of 40.

NOAH GALLOWAY AND SHARNA BURGESS:
His Disney movie is Aladdin.  His song is A Whole New World.  This week he danced the Foxtrot.  It was SO cute!  Since he doesn't have a knew this dance was a struggle.  His posture was spot on.  He does need more content but he does great.  I never wanted it to end because I was just so captured by him.  If he just focuses on what he can do then he'll go far.  His score was 28 of 40.

RIKER LYNCH AND ALLISON HOLKER:
His Disney movie is Pirates Of The Caribbean.  His song is He's A Pirate.  This week he danced the Paso Doble.  He KILLED everything about this dance!!!!!  I loved every single second!  By far his best dance EVER!  It had passion, anger, content, technique, and more!  I wish it went on forever!  I just can't say enough.  I had no clue he could pull that out!  His score was 38 of 40.

RUMER WILLIS AND VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY:
Her Disney movie is The Little Mermaid.  Her song is Poor Unfortunate Souls.  This week she danced the Samba.  It was SO good!  She went opposite and played a villain.  It had loads of content and the creativity was just insane.  It was just mind blowing!  She was very confident as well which is something she has slowly been working on.  This was her best so far.  Her score was 39 of 40.

NASTIA LIUKIN AND DEREK HOUGH:
Her Disney movie is Frozen.  Her song is Love Is An Open Door.  This week she danced a Jazz..  This is one of my favorite movies so I couldn't wait!  I totally loved everything about it!  I liked seeing this side of her.  It was fun and cute and adorable.  I'm glad the chose Anna over Elsa because she is my favorite.  The only thing that would have made it better was Olaf.  Her score was 38 of 40.

Results:
Nastia, Riker, Noah, Willow, Rumer, Robert, Patti, and Chris are safe.  Suzanne has been eliminated.

Movie Review: The Theory Of Everything

I have been waiting to see this movie for forever!  The minute I saw the trailer I knew I had to see it.  I highly HIGHLY recommend that everybody see this film!  It is the best film I have seen in a long time.  It will change your entire outlook on life.

If you don't know what this movie is about, it's about the story of Stephen Hawking and his wife Jane.  To be honest, I didn't really know much about him before I watched this.  I loved every moment.  The acting by Eddie Redmayne was fantastic!  I can only imagine how hard he must have studied.  Plus he looked like he actually had ALS.  Hawking was diagnosed in the early 60's and given only two years to live.  This just proves that doctors are not always right.

I looked at the film with two different perspectives.  One as a person who is fighting a disease myself and the other as a caregiver.  I never let my disease define me as I talked about here.  His mentality to never give up was inspiring.  My mom took care of me plus my two sisters for 11 years before I came to a care facility.  I really felt for his wife because she took care of him plus their kids.  I don't want to give too much away though!

Have any of you watched?  Let me know your thoughts!

5 Movies To Watch For Valentine's Day

Welcome to day 5 of my Valentine's Day week posts.  There will be a new Valentine's Day themed post every day this week.  It's the last day!!!  Today I'm going to share 5 Movies To Watch For Valentine's Day.  As you are reading this, I'm getting my wisdom teeth out.  So I'll be laying in bed watching all these!  Wish me luck!

This is an obvious choice!  This movie has tons of actors so it will be easy for everyone to watch.  I love how every storyline connects.

This movie is so underrated!  It's funny but also romantic.  The ending completely surprised me but in a good way.  Plus Ryan Gosling is shirtless.

I'm obsessed with this movie!  It's kinda cheesy but SO cute and fun.  This was my go to movie in high school.

This was my childhood!  I watched it about 100 times a day.  If I want a good cry I always reach for this.

I love this movie SOO much!  The book is really good too.  The story is just romantic and Zac Efron looks like heaven.
